Sawa
Sawa's dual-concept tapas-centric menu was created to encourage a shareable dining experience. The menu tells a story of when the East meets the Far East and the unique offerings of contemporary Mediterranean & Japanese dishes merge an innovative sushi menu with a memorable ensemble of tapas and entrees. Guests can explore traditional Lebanese dishes, such as hummus, kibbeh, and falafel and expand into nouveau Mediterranean and Japanese flavors, as Sawa fuses together creative cuisine elements into one great menu.
While Sawa is known for its inclusive & creative menu and beautiful outdoor ambiance, entertainment is also an integral part of Sawa's story, focusing on an upscale eater-tainment concept as dinner guests are enchanted by live professional bellydance shows every weekend.

Excellent as always. The food, service, and overall experience is great.
Came here on a busy Saturday night so I was very surprised that our food and appetizers came out quickly and everything tasted great.
Got a table at the entrance to the restaurant that we did not like, asked for a table further away in the garden as my partner is high risk for COVID, and we like to be further away from everybody passing by.
Food was great and the ambience was nice as well
Great restaurant!! the food was delicious. For appetizer we had the margarita pizza and for entree we had churrasco, they were both splendid; definitely recommend.
Me fascinó la comida , muy bien elaborada y fresca, la señora que nos atendió súper amable . Lo recomiendo para cualquier ocasión.
It was amazing everything
The food is very tasty and the portions are large
Excellent. Good food and comfortable.
Superb dining experience from start to finish! We were seated right away by the friendly hostess on their lovely patio (one of my favorite places in Miami to dine outdoors!). Waiter explained they are tapas style and have 3 separate kitchens, so we took his advice and ordered everything to share and enjoyed receiving the plates bit by bit. Food was great. Cocktails were well made and balanced. Service was informed and above par for Miami. And the ambiance was perfection. This place is a gem! I will be back.
It's a great location. Parking is easy. I wasn't impressed with the food. It was really just average. Thought maybe it was what I had. My friend wasn't that thrilled with hers either. It was okay. A bit pricey for just "okay."
Beautiful sitting outside among the palm trees. Food was delicious and a wide variety. My son loves sushi and he was not disappointed!
Food was incredible. Menu offers a little of everything for everyone in your party.
Horrible service. Construction happening above us while we ate. Complained about it but nothing ever done. Food was not worth the horrible rude service staff.
Love the beautiful outdoor ambience of this restaurant — they have the best location you could ask for. Five of us came together to celebrate a friend’s birthday and because it was so open and airy, we felt comfortable in the location. The food was delicious, and the servers were wonderful, even bringing a complimentary dessert to our birthday person. My sushi rolls were first rate, and that can be difficult to pull off for restaurants that also offer a large variety of cooked traditional dishes. Highly recommend Sawa for dinner!
Good safety measures ( tables are spaced). Good food, excellent service. Great ambiance.
Fantastic happy hour and incredible ambiance. Great food, fantastic drinks and amazing service. Thanks Jay for such top quality service and attention.
Jose is the absolute best Manager/bartender. He knows exactly what great food to recommended and he’s funny while being sweet and super attentive to your needs. I had a fantastic time for the Super Bowl and it was all because of him. Well the food and the ambiance were terrific as well. Lol will come back again. Also Sawa has one of the best Happy Hours I have ever seen innCoral Gablea and Miami. How more people don’t know about it is beyond me.
All very nice. Large menu. Outdoor seating.
This is a favorite!!!! Outside tables well distanced, spent a few hours enjoying tapas & good wine. We had the Grilled Octopus, Ham Croquetas, Kibbe, Kefta Fingers, Lentil Soup, Short ribs with Patatas Bravas. Great way to spend an afternoon
Be aware there are two separate kitchens one for the Japanese half of the menu and one for the Mediterranean half of the menu. Orders are served as ready in a tapas style. So if you order one entrée from the Japanese side of the restaurant and one from the Mediterranean they may not come out together. Our entrées came out 15 minutes apart. Not acceptable. The manager came to our table and comped us two drinks and a dessert. I will go back to the restaurant as the food and ambience were very nice.
Great date place
Great restaurant for this time of year, outdoors. Food and ambiance excellent!
Decent food, stick to tapas though- had to send back my entree as it came 40mins later and was tasteless. Service very slow - he was batch ordering... which meant we got drinks very slowly.
Excellent all around!! Food, Ambience and service.
Very good, delicious food. Nice ambiance. Good location
Birthday dinner
Food wise is usually very good but service is consistently poor.
Love this place, safe outdoor dining, food is great, atmosphere very nice, service could be a little improved, servers seemed overwhelmed. Overall delicious and a good time with family.
As a professional chef 👨🍳 I was very disappointed in the overall performance of this restaurant. It was a horrible dining experience. Apparently the Chef was fired the same day I visited the restaurant and needles to say the food being served by the cooks were over or under cooked. The appetizers took 1 hour to reach the table. We had about 3 rounds of drinks before our first bite. Guest were very upset and leaving without paying. The manager was trying to buy us drinks in order to keep us content. The server was not knowledgeable of the menu and failed to tell us what was the reason for the delay. I always try to find the best of the dining experience but this one was just damaging to the culinary industry. It’s a shame because the place is nice but, the food and service awful. 👎
Just a day out with my husband
We were celebrating our 22nd anniversary and wanted to go somewhere new, with great food. After reading the reviews, we thought Sawa was the perfect place. Sadly, it’s not likely we will return. When I reserved our tables, I selected to sit inside because temps were in the mid 50s. Unfortunately, we felt very neglected indoors; we easily waited 15-20 minutes before our server greeted us and just as long for us to get our drinks. Note: There are just a handful of tables inside (maybe 6) - it’s mostly outdoor seating (which is best). After a bit, we asked to be moved outside but they informed us there were no tables available (I saw reservations available online though but let it go). So, we decided to stay and make the best of it. Unfortunately, it didn’t get much better. I suspect our waiter had tables indoors and outdoors, which is probably unfair to him but as a result we received very slow service.
The other problem was the food. We ordered two large appetizers and one dessert - not a large meal. We ordered our apps together with our drinks. The food took so long to come out that we were there for two hours. We finished our first app and waited for our second one to come out. The food was just ok - the hot appetizer wasn’t hot. Finally, the dessert was the worst I’ve ever had - Dulce de Leche banana spring rolls (suggested by the server), which probably had a 1/2 teaspoon (at most) of Dulce de Leche.
Lastly, Open Table and the restaurant website says they have belly dancers on Saturday’s. This was not the case (we never saw them). TBH, we didn’t even bother to inquire with the waiter. We just added this to our long list of disappointments.
Sushi and Mediterranean food, as well as cocktails, were all excellent.
Great happy hour and ambiance
Great Mediterranean food with a beautiful ambiance.
The food is consistently delicious at this place but the service in the past has been spotty. Tonight there was a noticeable improvement because our server, Luana was on point & very courteous. Definitely recommend the lamb chops and short rib over spicy potatoes aka Patatas bravas
Great experience, it had been a couple oy years that we had been here, will now make it a regular place to visit. Outdoor seating is very well set up to maintain social distancing. Our server Luana was great, she sugested we try the Short Ribs with Patatas Bravas and it was a winner. She also kept providing updates re: kitchen / food status, we were in no hurry so not an issue. As an appetizer also had the Grilled Octopus which was delicious.
For entrees we had the Chicken Kebab w rice & Rack of Lamb w Cranberry Couscous. A plus. They have an extensive Tapas Menu, will go back to just order several. Good wine selection
Amazing experience
Best service in Miami
We love it!!! Everything was great food, the place we spent new years eve there and the performance was also fantastic.
