Sawa
Sawa's dual-concept tapas-centric menu was created to encourage a shareable dining experience. The menu tells a story of when the East meets the Far East and the unique offerings of contemporary Mediterranean & Japanese dishes merge an innovative sushi menu with a memorable ensemble of tapas and entrees. Guests can explore traditional Lebanese dishes, such as hummus, kibbeh, and falafel and expand into nouveau Mediterranean and Japanese flavors, as Sawa fuses together creative cuisine elements into one great menu.
While Sawa is known for its inclusive & creative menu and beautiful outdoor ambiance, entertainment is also an integral part of Sawa's story, focusing on an upscale eater-tainment concept as dinner guests are enchanted by live professional bellydance shows every weekend.
As a professional chef 👨🍳 I was very disappointed in the overall performance of this restaurant. It was a horrible dining experience. Apparently the Chef was fired the same day I visited the restaurant and needles to say the food being served by the cooks were over or under cooked. The appetizers took 1 hour to reach the table. We had about 3 rounds of drinks before our first bite. Guest were very upset and leaving without paying. The manager was trying to buy us drinks in order to keep us content. The server was not knowledgeable of the menu and failed to tell us what was the reason for the delay. I always try to find the best of the dining experience but this one was just damaging to the culinary industry. It’s a shame because the place is nice but, the food and service awful. 👎
Just a day out with my husband
Sushi and Mediterranean food, as well as cocktails, were all excellent.
Great happy hour and ambiance
Great Mediterranean food with a beautiful ambiance.
The food is consistently delicious at this place but the service in the past has been spotty. Tonight there was a noticeable improvement because our server, Luana was on point & very courteous. Definitely recommend the lamb chops and short rib over spicy potatoes aka Patatas bravas
Great experience, it had been a couple oy years that we had been here, will now make it a regular place to visit. Outdoor seating is very well set up to maintain social distancing. Our server Luana was great, she sugested we try the Short Ribs with Patatas Bravas and it was a winner. She also kept providing updates re: kitchen / food status, we were in no hurry so not an issue. As an appetizer also had the Grilled Octopus which was delicious.
For entrees we had the Chicken Kebab w rice & Rack of Lamb w Cranberry Couscous. A plus. They have an extensive Tapas Menu, will go back to just order several. Good wine selection
Best service in Miami
We love it!!! Everything was great food, the place we spent new years eve there and the performance was also fantastic.
The food was excellent as usual. However, the service was not good. My family and I still made the best out of it. This is the first time that I was disappointed with the service at SAWA. I think the contributing factor is that the server added a 20% gratuity to my bill, party of three and he knew he didn’t have to work for it. The easiest $62 he earned all night. Something that I will think about before going there again to celebrate a special occasion.
New Year’s Eve
This place is a gem. The food was great and the sangria was delicious. Great fo a girls night out!
Ambiance is nice. All wait staff were friendly. Overall, food was good.
Two desired menu items were out.
The entrees delivered to table timing was misaligned.
Ok for what we wanted which was outdoor dining. No bellydancing at 8 though.
It was all great
It was a pleasure to eat at Sawa. There is outdoor seating, very friendly service and easy to get a healthy option to eat.
Very nice happy hour Value for drinks and a variety of tapas style dishes

It was our first time in the restaurant and we have a great meal, first was the soup, Lentil soup, delicious. After I have sushi and my husband have a Churrasco. Both were oustanding. The service was good. Also I have a Leech Martini and it was delicious. We will come back for dinner and for Happy Hour.
Nice ambience, friendly service. Food was good, but not special. I ordered aJapanese food. perhaps Mediterranean foods are better.
Lots of happy hour choices at great prices
I loved this place. Very relaxing, professional service and good quality food. Unfortunately, hookah isn’t allowed but it should be back soon.
Food was fresh and delicious. No hookahs because of the mall.
I've been to this restaurant many times and it always is a great experience. The food is delicious and the service was great.
The salmon kabobs are well seasoned. Loved my Mango Tango Martini as well. Can't wait to go back.
Two of us dining. One was served 30 minutes before the other received their food and it was brought out only after we complained. The grilled octopus was great but the mahi ceviche was totally tasteless. The two redeeming factors: the place was lovely and our waiter AMAZING!
Excellent all around! Good Covid restrictions and practices, even in the indoor seating.
Always great to visit there. On-site parking is a hassle though.
As always yummy food and service. Always sitting outside due to Covid. Had brunch with my friends Sunday. Needed to move seats since they no longer have the fans running outside in the courtyard. I was told this was due to the circuits overloading. So they only have them outside by the front door and archway underpass. We had to move our seats in that area due to the heat. Not nearly as nice an ambiance. However, the food, drinks and service were great as always.
It took the server 20 minutes to bring tap water to our table. Then we ordered our food; a mushroom flatbread and 3 sushi rolls. The flatbread was tasteless and the sushi rolls were so small that even a 5 year old would still be left hungry. When I mentioned this to an employee, because my server was never available. I was told that was the size of the roll. That the speciality rolls were larger.
Miami Spice lunch menu was a great choice. The environment was very good for lunch as well as the food and drink mimosas special.
Great ambience! I tried this restaurant out for Miami Spice and loved it ! The duck was delicious and so was the shrimp appetizer. Looking forward to come back and try their sushi !
Lots of comfortable outdoor sitting. A huge variety of foods and drinks
Went here for my birthday with some friends on a Sunday. There was plenty of seating outside and wasn't very busy at all. They have great cocktails and the food was honestly very good. The service was also on point.
As always SAWA is great. The food is great, the protocol for Covid followed and the views beautiful. During the Pandemic I am not comfortable eating inside so this is a great way to see a friend for lunch and stay safe. I come several times a month and always happy with service, safety and food. I sure hope they continue to keep a lower occupancy and masks even though De Santis is lifting restaurant restrictions.
