Sawa's dual-concept tapas-centric menu was created to encourage a shareable dining experience. The menu tells a story of when the East meets the Far East and the unique offerings of contemporary Mediterranean & Japanese dishes merge an innovative sushi menu with a memorable ensemble of tapas and entrees. Guests can explore traditional Lebanese dishes, such as hummus, kibbeh, and falafel and expand into nouveau Mediterranean and Japanese flavors, as Sawa fuses together creative cuisine elements into one great menu.
While Sawa is known for its inclusive & creative menu and beautiful outdoor ambiance, entertainment is also an integral part of Sawa's story, focusing on an upscale eater-tainment concept as dinner guests are enchanted by live professional bellydance shows every weekend while they dine under the stars.
Great service from Michelle. Food came out on time and everything tasted delicious. Nice ambiance
Food not well prepared.
Great service and excellent food
This place was great. Food was delicious. Drinks, bangin’. The calamari is serious. And the sampler is very good. It was a beautiful late afternoon and evening, and it was awesome sitting outside in that setting. I only have one complaint, and that is directed at the hostess. She takes us to our table, and it’s right next to a big dog at the table next to us. I said I preferred not to eat there by the dog. She says loudly and with disgust towards me, “Oh you don’t like dogs.” That wasn’t what I said I told her. But she stormed off to show us to the next table like I was a dang killer or scum of the earth. Because I didn’t want to eat my meal and enjoy the company of my beautiful wife next to a dog. I wasn’t feeling that at all.
Other than that, place was great. I will be back, next time with our three kids.
Just a very enjoyable Dining experience.
The staff has the best actitude, however the food is overpriced for its quality!
My second Christmas ant the food and service are amazing i recommend it 100% and i loved the beautiful christmas tree
Delicious sushi and drinks. The service could have been slightly prompter, especially waiting for the tab. But overall an excellent experience, will be returning!
Beautiful place, great menu, food was delicious but we sat outside and a large fly kept bothering us. Will sit inside next time. Will come again.
Love to come here when visiting our daughter in Miami. Food is so flavorful and setting outside is perfect. Tried the chocolate soufflé this time and it was out of this world!!!
We were expecting a wonderful experience but had some disappointments on the evening. We learned that outdoor dining includes cigar smokers. We thought this would end when our fabulous meal came out. However one of us got their dinner before the others and our food was slow coming out. The sushi rolls were not rolled tightly enough and would fall apart if you were not very careful. I did enjoy two of their creative rolls I have not had. The rest of the food was not very creative and had no special flavor. An ok place for an average meal.
We requested an outdoor table and when we arrived they sat indoors because they said they did not have a table available outdoors.
Delicious food and relaxing ambiance! We enjoyed sitting outside on a November evening, watching the entertainment and majestic Christmas tree.
I HAVE BEEN WANTING TO GO because of the belly dancers. But I did not realize the selection of fod was so extensive and good. And a good value aswell. We met some friends there Friday night and we had a real nice time. Our server was super sharp. She knew her stuff. I will definitely go back.
First time at SAWA and was not disappointed. Great service, drinks, and food. Really nice happy hour and very accommodating if you want something different. I’ll definitely go again!
Great experience and excellent happy hour menu. Our waiter was very patient and kind.
The restaurant have large size plates and tiny tables. The food is very good and many options.
Lovely restaurant with excellent service. It was just a bit too hot to sit outside for me but lovely setting. There were 4 of us for lunch and we shared several plates, some of which were excellent (calamari, sushi, chicken flatbread) but some just so-so (babaganoush, Kufta). Overall, very nice and would definitely return, especially for dinner outside when it’s not quite so hot!
I love eating at SAWA as it is always a great experience. Ever since being introduced to SAWA by Gables Magazine it is one of our go to restaurants in the Gables.
This is my go to spot at Merrick park...from HH to weekend 2 for 1 Bellinis it is always fun. I love sitting outside under the umbrellas with a fan pointing in my direction. The service is always good and the food well done. This past weekend they were packed so service was slower than usual, but acceptable. We tried the Miami spice menu and the food from beginning to end was great.
We had a reservation for 8 but 2 more friends wanted to join. I couldn’t add 2 more through OpenTable. I called Sawa & they added 2 more right away. Drinks & food was delicious for all 10 of us. Live belly dancing was interesting. Loved the decor. Service was great. We will definitely dine there again.
Place was very nice and waiter was extremely friendly and helpful in answering our questions and making great suggestions! I will definan come back!
One of the most magnificent dining experiences in all of Miami!
Very good happy hour
It was my birthday celebration. The food and service was good.
Japanese/Arabic the menu was a little overwhelming .....the food was great tho and so was the service .... the food did take a while tho to reach the table but besides that I would def recommend
We went for the MiamiSpice lunch menu, as on paper it was one of the best options in the area. We were not disappointed. All four of us tried everything on the menu and enjoyed both the drinks and meal. Ambiance good, service impeccable. Overall a break lunch/brunch experience.
Perfect! Foods and staff! 2 Times in 4 days for us and we''ll be back as we Can 👌🏾🙌🏾👍🏾
Excellent service and good quality of food. Beautiful ambiance and relaxing atmosphere. Highly would recommend for groups and celebrations.
Perfect in all points 👌🏾🙌🏾
Great foods, great staff
Birthday Celebration and Miami Spice Menu
The waitress did an amazing job in recommending items from the menu. All the food was delicious. I went to celebrate my sisters birthday, and they sang for her and brought a dessert plate. Very happy with the experience.
Good drinks, food, service and ambiance. Fair price.
WENT FOR MIAMI SPICE. IT TOOK 45 MINUTES TO GET THE APPETIZER, WHICH, BY THE WAY WAS THE BEST PART OF THE MEAL. THE MAIN COURSE, STEAK WAS OVERCOOKED AND TOUGH. BUY HAVE BEEN THERE OTHER TIMES AND LET'S JUST SAY THAT WHEN I WAS THERE THIS TIME, IT WASN'T THEIR NIGHT.
This place has amazing food!
Thanks to Luana our sweet waitress, she made our experience outstanding!
Great dinner. I had a naked sushi roll and grilled octopus. Amazing.
My husband had skirt steak which was a bit chewy done medium. Great truffle fries.
The music and belly dancing was tasteful and fun.
Would definitely return.
My wife and I had dinner here following a trip to the Landmark cinema at Merrick Park. We found the service to be friendly, very welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. The food was splendid. Everything we had was well prepared, plated and tasty. We enjoyed a variety of tapas from their eclectic selection of both Mediterranean and Japanese cuisine. When the bill came, we discovered that the server had graciously extended us the happy hour discount. This welcome and pleasant surprise brought the entire cost for our date night out to an amount well under what we would have spent at Cinebistro. All with a much better selection of foods and better ambiance. Thanks Sawa.
We thought giving Sawa another chance this last Saturday. No more chances after then. Its a shame because we liked this place a lot at the beginning a few years ago. Actually they had a very good Miami Spice menu then. Unfortunately the food quality has deteriorated. While our server tried to accommodate, she disappeared for extended lengths. Always had to flag someone down from afar. Worse, our main courses arrived almost right after our appetizers before even halfway through. The manager that night certainly not supervising, the staff needs training. Only got worse as they brought the main courses again. The manager promised they would be re-done, definitely didn't think so. If so, they only did things worse the second time.
Basically, we've been to Sawa for the last time unless they announce changes in management and chefs. Then perhaps if we have a weak moment.
You can count on Sawa to always deliver. Fresh food, perfectly mixed drinks, by servers who care.
