The menu tells a story of where the East meets the Far East and dishes span the realm of tapas, kebabs, and sushi. In fact, Sawa means "Togetherness" in Arabic and "Harmony" in Japanese, a perfect key to Sawa's concept of bringing together seemingly separate cuisine elements into one great menu meant to be enjoyed and shared by everyone.
While in business, Sawa has earned numerous awards and recognition for its posh and romantic ambiance, creative cocktails, eclectic cuisine, and chic lounge atmosphere.
Entertainment is also an integral part of Sawa's story, focusing on an upscale dinnertainment concept as dinner guests are enchanted by live professional bellydance shows every weekend while they dine under the stars.

Food was good but service was slow
Very nice outdoor seating, large menu. All items we very good. Loved the chicken flatbread
We enjoyed our "Date Night"at Sawa's. The service was outstanding, the food excellent and the ambiance perfect. Our waiter, Gustavo, was very knowledgeable and helpful in selecting our dinner. We enjoyed the the dinning experience before seeing a movie in Merrick Park. A great start to our special night, we will be back.
great food and service. this is our second time and will definitely come back
Great service good food
Will be back
Extensive and delicious Happy Hour menu, nice ambiance and complementary birthday dessert.
I think they should stick to the middle eastern menu, and make it shorter to make sure they serve quality food. The menu was Middle Eastern/ Asian, and the food was mediocre at best. I had to send back 2 dishes because they were inedible. Also, the service was way too slow.
I think they should stick to kebabs, dips, and naan pizzas, and not bother with the other items on their menu because they weren't good. I went there, originally, when they first opened a few years ago, and I went there this week because I forgot why I never went back, but now, I know why I never went back, and I'm not going to make that mistake again.
The food selection is very interesting, not fusion, Japanese and Mediterranean. Prepared and presented just right. Highly recomend SAWA. We will come back.
The salmon appetizer in the Miami spice menu was amazing! The baklava was also so good.
I always love going to Sawa. It’s perfect for outdoor and indoor dinning. They have a wide variety of tapas & sushi rolls. Love that you can enjoy hookah afterwards. The happy hour menu has great selections and keep in mind they serve the regular portion. Definitely recommend
This is usually one of my favorite spots but the service was really bad tonight. Not sure if they were short staffed but everything took FOREVER & our waiter messed up both our drink order & dessert. There was no effort to apologize or comp anything to make up for it at all...very disappointed & I really hope this was a one off event.
Sawa serves Mediterranean food but they serve sushi and rolls as well which are delicious. Varied menu and good price point for quality of food. I love to sit outside by the lovely plants and enjoy the beautiful space within the shoppes of Merrick Park.
The food was inspired by middle eastern cuisine but refreshingly original.
Great place. Food is always great and the drinks are awesome. Service is fast and helpful.
We went for a date night and it was absolutely perfect! The service was great. The drinks, hookah and food were amazing. Its not too busy or noisy its perfect for having drinks and having a nice conversation. Will definitely come again!
The only thing lacking here was the service. We were sat at a smaller table because we were told all the larger ones were reserved, an hour later and they were still empty. We did order over $350 in food and drinks for 4 and I must everything was excellent. A must try are the lamb lollipops, sushi rolls and Thai donuts. Unfortunately our waiter disappeared for well over 1/2 hour and forgot to bring us part of the tapas we had ordered. All in all we had a great time. The vibe and entertainment are great.
We have been several tones and this was the only time the service and food were not up to par. Service especially was slow and poor.
Amazing food and service! Steven was an awesome server.
Made her birthday extra special
Highly recommend having Maddison as your server, she’s always on top of her tables.
New favorite. Been there about 6 times.
We made it for the end of happy hour and ended up enjoying a bunch of small plates that were amazing. The speed of service was also incredible. Burt our server was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Service and food are consistently excellent.
It was wonderful..came in to celebrate my brother’s bday on July 4th..early reservation at 11am. They did everything to accommodate us with kids and in summer heat. Food took a little long but it was delicious. Loved their drinks. My only regret is that I didnt leave more tip..I’m used to tipping 20% automatically. They sang Happy Bday to my brother and gave him dessert with a sparkler.
Decent dinner. Would have preferred to eat outside but it was raining. Only 6 tables and a bar inside so it was noisy. Prawns and sushi were excellent. Hamburger so-so. Less than $100 for three on a Thursday afternoon.
I went to Sawa for mother day and I sat outside and everything was perfect. The view, weather, food, etc., I couldn’t ask for anything better. However, I went back for Father’s Day and we sat inside because of the heat and the experience was totally different. Tables are on top of each other. It feels like you are eating with someone else next to. The bathroom are closed to the kitchen that by the way looks very dirty and bathrooms were not clean and this was almost when they opened. I am not sure if I will go back after seen the kitchen
All was great, just not enough vegan options.... but our waiter was very knowledgable and made sure we did not get cross contamination from animal products... Loved him.... Scott
The server acted as wish she was doing anything but what she was doing and we tried to engage her in conversation and couldn’t get a response.
Waiters were wonderful, food was excellent and Happy Hour Menu was phenomenal!
Child and teen also had a great time.
Nice place. Good food and excellent quality/price ratio.
We were a party of 9 and we all had great food with one minor exception on the tenderness of a beef meal.
Drinks, hummus platter for our table and 9 meals came in at a strong 9.5/10 !!
Very nice setting, service impeccable, good food, nice performance by a belly dancer. Highly recommended.
We love Nicole!
Food and service was good. It's in the Merrick park shopping area so it it what it is. sort of confused about being charged $1.50 extra for blue cheese stuffed olives in my martini. never seen that done before, but overall good.
Nicole was fabulous!!!
good food and good ambiance great for lunch and dinner
Great service, very good selection of happy hour tapas, and the service is always outstanding! And the best part is the outdoor seating in a beautiful setting with these perfect Miami spring evenings!!
Great place. Service was efficient, menu had great options
The belly dancer was terrific, especially for little kids.
Great outdoor setting!
Waiter attentive. Food excellent. Still-price is very high.
