Savor Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Savor is a nice place to go for a casual dinner, especially during the warm months when you have the option to grab a table outside facing Main Street. Inside is cozy though and the decor is fresh and inviting. The service is usually very good although during our last trip our server neglected to bring us our salad and the next thing we knew we had our entrees in front of us. The crab cakes are not lump-style crab cakes, which good crab cakes should be. They were just run-of-the-mill overworked shredded crab meat and tasted like anything you'd get anywhere they don't know how to make a proper crab cake. The orecchiette with Italian sausage was, like the crab cake, acceptable but not great. This would have been much better if there wasn't a comically large pile of wet spinach served on top. The sausage was good and the pasta was cooked perfectly. The best dish on our table was the Fettuccini Bolognese. It was delicious and hearty and the fettuccini was cooked properly. Good Italian comfort food. Overall, this is a solid BYOB joint that won't pick you up, turn you upside down, and shake all the money out of your pockets. Pick up a nice bottle of wine and go enjoy yourself at Savor -- just don't expect a 5-Star Michelin experience.
Everyone at my table had seafood. We enjoyed our crab cakes and scallops. The fresh vegetables were a nice side. Our server was very attentive, but not at all bothersome. He did not push us out the door just let us have a casual dinner with old friends and it was nice evening out. We will be back.
being our first time to savor, we were pleased to find a spacious and very quiet restaurant. the food was very plentiful and very good. we later found that quite a few friends of our friends frequent savor and that we will definitely go back again. very satisfied. thank you. the ollers
we were very pleasantly enthralled by our lovely meal at Savor this week! It was husband's birthday, and I did mention it when I made my Open Table reservation, and they presented us with a beautiful complimentary dessert!
The service was excellent, with a calm, smiling, and very helpful waiter. The salads were HUGE, definitely should have split one, but too luscious to pass up! Our meals (Frutti de Mer, and baked cod) were outstanding! we will absolutely be back!
The BYOB atmosphere lets them focus on the food, and the service - which is what we dine out for, right???
What a find! Thanks for everything - loved it - can't wait to go back!
The restaurant itself is very nice, and the service was good. The food, however, wasn't anything special.
For appetizers, we got clams oreganato and artichokes, which were cooked nicely and had good flavor. For dinner, two of us got the shrimp ravioli special, one of us got the mushroom ravioli, and one got the Dijon salmon. All dishes had good flavor, although the house made pasta on the raviolis was quite thick and made the dish unnecessarily heavy. The salmon was light and cooked perfectly. Everything (even salmon) was coated in a heavy sauce, which is where all flavor came from. For dessert, I got the tiramisu, which was disappointing and was more like tres leches cake. My friends got the lava cake, which was good.
I probably won't eat at Savor again. I really wasn't impressed.
My boyfriend and I ate at savor on a Monday night to celebrate our birthdays. The service was good and the food was delightful. I ordered tilapia and it was the absolute best! Because it was our birthdays, the server brought us a tiramasu cake with a candle to make our night special. The best part is it's also BYOB so the bill wasn't outrageous and we still got to enjoy our wine! Very reasonable and good quality food. A+ in my book :)
I have been to Savor several times, but this time was my favorite. I dined with a group of four, and every one of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Even though I always enjoy my dinners there, I think that they continually improve in their preparation and presentation. Our waiter was a pleasure to deal with, and we never felt we were rushed or had to wait too long for our courses. The restaurant is a BYOB which I sometimes prefer. I had the homemade linguine with mixed seafood in a fra Diavlo sauce, and my husband had a delicious pork chop. I definitely recommend Savor and will be back again soon!
A group of 4 of us tried Savor for the first time last week. It was very pretty inside and very quiet, with only one other table occupied. We did go at 5:30 pm on a Monday night, not a popular time.
This is a BYOB and service was impeccable with our waiter bringing over an ice bucket and wine/beer glasses right away. He went over the specials, which were many. They have a varied and unique menu which was nice. We each ordered and, because I'm a vegetarian, I ordered the Gnocchi, which I love. They were out of that which was disappointing but my second choice was the mushroom ravioli's and I was NOT disappointed!! It was a delicious blend of mushrooms and the wine sauce. The other diner's had pasta, chicken and beef and all said theirs was very delicious so we will definitely go back!!
It was a very quiet Monday evening meal with a friend. I could see if the restaurant was crowded, the layout of the room would have made for a noisy environment; but since it was a slow evening, we were able to have a nice conversation over a good meal. Portion sizes were just slightly more than one should eat at a single meal, but not large enough to box up for leftovers; so about right in other words. I had the linguine with sausage and it was very good.
The restaurant is very easy to find but parking was a bit of a challenge. The food was excellent - I had the chicken masala which was very flavourful. My friends had an entrée salad with fresh raspberry dressing and the seafood pasta which was on special. I steak looked good as well but we didn't try it. The place offeres BYOB which is very convenient.
I was taken to Savor for my 1 yr anniversary with my boyfriend. I was so pleased with everything that I made a special surprise dinner for my parents' 32nd wedding anniversary. The restaurant was incredibly nice and accommodating when I said I wanted to set up balloons and flowers for them before their dinner. My parents had a wonderful time and loved everything. The restaurant emailed me a copy of the receipt and made it very easy to pay the bill for them ahead of time. I'll be going back and will recommend it to everyone. Planning on bringing coworkers for company dinners as well. I love this place!
Don't let the wine bottles prominently displayed in the entry and over the tables fool you, there isn't a drink to be had.
Food was very good, reasonably priced and good-sized portions that won't leave you feeling excessively full.
Would definitely do for lunch, might not be my first choice for a dinner out given the lack of a liquor license.
