Savor Ratings and Reviews
Over all very poor. Think Applebee's at 100x's the cost. Service was fair, food was just ok, view... Great.
Got the Brizino, parents and wife got Snapper, and Short Ribs. Nothing remarkable at all. The campaign was flat, my bar drink was a short pour... Suggest finding another place to take your money. At $290 for dinner and 1 drink a piece for 4 is okay if the food and service are great.... Nothing was great here except the view.
We explained that we had a show to catch. We were told no problem. We got our entree with about 4 minutes before we would have liked to leave. It would have been more enjoyable had we been guided to not get three courses to meet our timeline. We were late for the show leaving just 9 minutes before call time.
The lobster puffs melt in your mouth. The scallops have tremendous flavor. Salads are great. The braised pork brisket was moist, tender, and delicious. Jeffrey, our waiter, was fantastic. He gave excellent recommendations. He was attentive and kept the dinner moving at an even pace. He had a great personality.
Dined here for our anniversary. Complimentary champagne after we were seated. Great service and food was awesome. Requested to move from our original table since it was right across from a serving bar. Didn't want to feel like we were eating in a kitchen! We were moved to a quieter table. Great French-pressed coffee with dessert.
Savor never fails to live up to the billing and yet surprise us every time. This was the first time when we went for brunch and were delighted by the choices. We went with friends before a matinee of "Beautiful". A great brunch and we will be back for that meal again.
Went there for anniversary on a Tuesday night. They actually had Happy Anniversary on the menu which was a nice touch. Fried calamari and mussels for appetizers were... okay. Caeser Salad was... okay although I did like the avocado toast that came with it. Short ribs with macaroni and cheese was... outstanding. I would come back just for that dish. It was fun sitting and watching the people play in Klyde Warren park. A little disconcerting when you are dressed up and people come traipsing through the restaurant in flip flops and shorts. Service was very nice although perhaps a bit slow. I hear this place is great for business lunch and I can see bringing out of town guests here to show off downtown and the park.
Service was great and I very much enjoyed the meal, the only item that detracted from the experience was that we ordered a specific bottle of wine that was one price but when the check arrived was $20 dollars higher. When I brought my concern to the waiter he shrugged and said he was confused about which bottle I wanted. All I wanted him to do was make it right. We got the bottle of wine we ordered but got charged for a different bottle.
The lobster pastry appetizer was out of this world delicious! We loved the scallops! The mac n cheese is excellent. Love the salads. Have always had a wonderful dinner experience. I would like to especially thank our waiter, Edwin, for his excellent service. We were going to a musical, and he planned our dinner accordingly.
My boyfriend and I ate at Savor while we were in Dallas on vacation. The restaurant itself is very nice, clean, and well designed. The view of the park from inside the restaurant was great. However, it was difficult finding the restaurant from the street because there were no visible signs. You could barely even read the logo on the door. We had lobster puffs to start, which were fantastic. I had the braised short rib with mac and cheese. The short rib was tender and very flavorful; the mac and cheese was surprisingly bland and flavorless. My boyfriend had the crispy potato gnocchi, and said that it was good, but he wished he had gotten something else. Our waiter was pretty attentive and did a good job overall, but we both thought that he was a little 'weird' and made us feel a little uncomfortable. He was not good in engaging in conversation, forgot my drink order once, and (after coming back to ask me what it was again) mixed up our drink orders. Overall, we were happy with the restaurant and the food, but it could have been better. I'd be likely to spend my $100 somewhere else next time.
Greatly enjoyed our visit to Savor this past weekend. We were in Dallas from Atlanta for the weekend and recall having eaten at Savor on a past visit to Dallas, so we decided to enjoy lunch again with a DFW friend. Meal was great, service was FANTASTIC. Our waiter, Travis, went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our lunch. The service provided by Travis and the General Manager was so great that we cancelled our Sunday lunch plans across the street at Lark on the Park to come back on Sunday with other DFW friends. Food and service on Sunday did not disappoint and were very happy that we could sit in Travis' section again and enjoy his great personality and extra attention. Would definitely recommend Savor to anyone looking for a nice lunch place, with nice view of all the action in Klyde Warren Park.
