Lovely views but too loud to have a nice conversation with our dinner companions
Good food and good service. Von was on top of his service. Pasta dish was exceptional as was the short rib and filet. Everyone loved the mains. Dessert was maybe bit lower, but bread pudding was a star!
Party members were arriving at different times due to rain. However, the first ones seated were the last to get their meals. We announced we had tickets to the symphony and needed prompt service. We left at 7:15 for a 7:30 show.
The setting can’t be beat on a beautiful night. We’ve been a few times for brunch, but this was our first time for dinner. The tenderloin was ordered as medium but came out rare, and the smoked pork was pretty tasteless. Our waiter was okay, but didn’t come out to refill drinks.
First time to dine there and it was outstanding! A great dining experience on all levels. Our server Kate was awesome. Knowledgeable on the menu items, fun and personable.
Had high expectations, but it wasn't great. Very slow to be waited on. They were out of the entrée we ordered.
The setting is beautiful. It was a Sunday evening, which is probably why it was quiet (which I like); however, I’m sure it’s livelier during the week. Mike’s service was excellent. I had the Nantucket scallops which were fabulous. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his brisket. I will definitely be back.
I had a friend visiting from out of town and it was a really warm day 80 degrees in March. We were seated outside but did not know it was concert night at Klyde Warren. So it was a bit noisy to say the least but with breaks and they shut down before 10 allowed for some moments of conversation without shouting. My biggest complaint was the lighting on the patio. It was dark so we had to use our cellphones to read the menu and you could barely see your food. And there were no table candles. But overall, I just love the venue and Von our server was really nice!
Service is very leisurely. It became a 3 hour dinner because of it. Restroom had no means to dry hands after washing them. Only two single unisex toilets for the entrare restaurant. A line formed to use one of the toilets. The waitress confused one of our orders and brought two for one of my guests. Many of the dishes were outstanding, but some were bland and flavorless.
Food was good, ambiance is great. We were a bit disappointed with the service. We waited almost an hour for the apps and an hour for food. Waitress seemed bothered from the beginning. We were a bit late to our event that evening. Maybe just not a good day for her. For the price and money spent service should be tip top level.
Not what we would call a gastropub in the uk, more an upmarket restaurant.
Service was very poor
We had to get our own drinks at bar (twice)and were not waited on for 20+ minutes. Had to get our own napkins & silverware
Everything was great at Savor I made a reservation a few hours ahead of time. It was picked because I was going to Winspear for a show. It was a beautiful evening a decided to walk. The service was excellent I don't recall the young lady's name. But cute redhead with funky cat eye glasses and personality plus..
This is my third or fourth time to dine here and it is always consistent-great atmosphere, great food, wine, dessert. The service is excellent with friendly wait staff.
Excellent food. The BBQ Pork was really awesome. The service was not good. Waiter just running around without any order to what he was doing. Kept telling us he was going to get our food, but then he would go around chatting with tables...
I was so disappointed visiting Savor this past weekend. I had a great meal and was able to catch up with my best friend after not seeing her for a while. Our waitress was great & all the food was so good, but the one thing that made me decide I’ll probably not eat there again is the valet. I have NEVER in my life had a valet person tell me that I needed to to them for “complimentary” parking. I literally never have cash on me b/c who does? I was running late to my reservation, so I didn’t get a chance to go to an ATM, but that was my original plan. Anytime that has happened in the past, the valet people accepted my apology and walked away. Then in the future when I revisited the same restaurant, I tipped extra. If Savor expects their guests to tip their valet, they should allow us to pay with our meals or they should tell their valet personnel to have better ettiquette.
Overall great experience
Loved it again!
Food was very bland. The service did the best to make the experience good.
I was a little disappointed. The food was just ok. At that price point I got much better meals
We held a friends get together here. It was difficult to find due to limited signage. Complementary valet helped with parking. The service was a bit slow and some of our guests had to reorder their food because of it not being turned on correct with the waiter. The food is way overpriced and there is not much on the plate. You pay for everything on the menu.
Slowest service we had ever experienced. Waited a good 30 min from the time we placed an order for our entree to the point when we had to ask our waiter about it. Shortly after he went to check on it, he brought out the food. Not sure if he'd have brought them out if we hadn't asked in the first place. He hardly checked on us through our time there, and no manager came by to apologize for the delay either. Disappointing overall, just too bad because this wasn't our first time at Savor. Food was great though, no complaints there.
The hostess was overwhelmed- she asked me if I had an rsvp but I told her the guy in front of us was here first. After she found him she asked a lady behind me- totally skipped asking me. Then after my guest said something then she laughed and looked us up. Then we get to the table and the seats had rain scum as well as the table from all of the rain we have had. (Which at the time it had not rained in 24 hrs so no prep for the patio seating. Then we ordered our food quickly since I had a presentation at the Nasher in an hour. They brought my guest the wrong salad- then when we get the bill, we were still charged for the salad that was wrong. Over all- I was very distracted by the all of the inconsistencies that I really don't even think we enjoyed overall being there.
Went to Savor for my Daughters bday. Service was solid. Had lobster balls and cauliflower for apps. Cauliflower was extremely salty but otherwise good. Lobster was good but not very much lobster - maybe the cheese overwhelms it.
Entrees were bolanese (large, tasty), swordfish (good nit fantastic) and scallops. Scallops were strange and not what we were expecting. Came out as what looked like a salad. The scallops were cut up and mixed in to the point where you couldn’t identify them vs the mushrooms. Made me think they were going cheap with small scallops and wanted to hide it. It had a lot of sauce which made it semi soupy.
Overall disappointing. Such a great venue, but needs work in the food. It was not full at 7 which suggests others are agreeing?
Don't order salad, very unimpressive. Brisket and filet were good, small portions. Dessert was good
This is a restaurant that we return to with the same great dining experience. Eating in Klyde Warren park downtown and people watching are an awesome accompaniment to excellent food.
Savor is wonderful
We’ve been there several times. Always great. Only criticism is that i had to ask 3 times to get a glass of wine. Otherwise perfect.
We had a great server - very knowledgeable about wine which impressed my date.
Ms. Stitt ask me to review our lunch as well. I was a guest of Ms. Stitts. The food was overcooked. we split two sandwiches. the chicken was sparse because of a very thick, heavy batter coating that was hard and dry because of being in the oil so long. The burger was so well done (we did not order well done) the meat was hard. When it came time for the bill, we had to ask several times. When it finally came, it was the wrong bill. No one came back for so long after leaving the wrong bill that we had to go to the front to try and get it resolved. Such a shame because the venue is so cool and attractive.
Went with a friend for a birthday celebration and had a great time! We shared some delicious appetizers and a bottle of wine. Finished off the meal with a yummy dessert they brought out with a candle and birthday message in chocolate. After dinner, we enjoyed some drinks at the bar. Loved the ambiance, service and food!
food was excellent and the service was even better. such a beautiful atmosphere.
Been here many times for lunch, first time for dinner. Everything was outstanding. One of our new favorite restaurants. Keep up the great work.
Dissapointed. Food was cold.
Waited very long for food.
We went for Valentine’s Day and had the prefix menu. Found it to be underwhelming. Also had the wine pairing; it was horrible! Atmosphere was great however we were a table of 2 that got placed next to a very loud table of 6. Less than romantic...
Food was really good. Too expensive to go often. Some fresh made bread would have been appreciated. Prefer light classical music.
It was freezing in the restaurant the entire time. We made the comment it was cold, but our entire table had to wear jackets the entire meal.
It was really cool from the music to the meal the waiter suggested! I’ll definitely visit again
