Awarded 3 Stars "EXCELLENT," by The Bergen Record. Voted "BEST OF BERGEN" by (201) Magazine. Savini is a Sophisticated, Award Winning, Northern Italian/Continental Restaurant. Considered one of the most attractive restaurants in Bergen County, food is served at Savini in what was once a colonial home. What remains of the original only contributes to the aesthetics. But it is a positive culinary experience that diners seek and that is what they get at Savini. It excels in the three most significant barometers of a restaurant's health: Food, Service and Atmosphere. The cuisine is Northern Italian/Continental. Specialties cover the gamut – a selection of fresh fish delivered daily, homemade pasta, veal, chicken, steaks and chops. Enjoy coffee, an after-dinner drink and perhaps late night music in the lounge. Our cuisine and menu will please the most discerning palate and is both distinctive and unique.

Savini Ratings and Reviews
Food and service was pretty good overall. I can't understand charging refills on iced tea. It drives me nuts and would you charge a refill on coffee? If you are going to charge for refills then you should advise the customer and provide a decent size glass if you choose to charge. The glass is small and filled with ice so I think it's a bit tacky. The nicest restaurants in the city provide refills at no charge.
I had never been to Savini, but live locally. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was and our waiter was really great. The price is a little high, but it's perfect for a special night out. I also checked out the lunch menu which seems more reasonable for a lot of the same items.
We are now return customers to this restaurant. The food was excellent both times (off of the standard menu and the specials), and the waiters very attentive. The wine list is good, as are their cocktails.
The price seems within range of other restaurants of this caliber, and it always is pretty packed, even mid-week.
Restaurant felt somewhat dated, although comfortable. Service was excellent. Food was disappointing; the Rack of lamb was tasteless and was not served medium rare as requested. The gravy was overly heavy, more conducive to beef.
The fish was somewhat dry and the presentation was not very appealing.
Sorry to say, I would not return.
We had a lovely dinner with friends. The waiter was attentive and knowledgeable without being pushy or intrusive. We stayed at the table for a long time catching up and never once felt rushed. The menu is full of wonderful choices, and we were happy with our choices. We will be back again soon!
We asked for a quiet table for the birthday dinner and they gave us a great location. They asked for the spelling of the birthday girl, which we thought was odd, but when the menu came the heading read: Happy Birthday with her name! Needless to say we were all surprised. Dinner was delicious, service great, and they brought her a piece of cake with happy birthday spelled out on the plate! All in all a very pleasant dining experience. We will definitely go back.
We have visited Savini many times over the years and always enjoyed it. The food is always excellent and the ambiance very pleasant... This visit included a wonderful surprise. They had just gotten in some fresh white truffles, which I had with fettuccini pasta in a delightful cream sauce. Given that we are no longer able to travel extended distances, I thought I would never get to experience fresh white truffles again... They were heavenly!! We will be back again... and again... and again....
My wife and I eat out regularly. We always look for top quality restaurants regardless of the price. Savini did not disappoint us. The food and service was top notch. Ambiance was impressive and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The menu is extensive with something for everybody. Veal dishes are superb and they make one heck of a martini. I highly recommend it. Needless to say, Savini will now be part of our regular dining experience.
We have been going to Savini for years, generally 5-6 time a year. It is one of our 2 favorite restaurants, which although both Italian, are very different. Salih always greats us with a hug and a handshake and makes us feel like family, and we almost always get a table in the downstairs back room, with its fireplace. Service is attentive and very professional. The menu is large and varied, and there are always a good number of specials as well. I don't believe we've ever had a bad meal here, and most have been outstanding, especially the seafood. They are also very good about tweaking the menu if there's a dish that you like but would like somewhat altered. Reservations are a must, even on some week days. We generally eat sometime between 5 and 6 and try to avoid week-ends. Savini is fairly pricey but worth it considering the quality of the food and the service. All around excellent.
We went to Savini for the first time this weekend and it was excellent. It was our 7th Anniversary and they made us a personalized specials menu to celebrate the occasion. Though the bar area was crowded and noisy, the atmosphere in the restaurant area was intimate. We still felt very cozy and romantic in our corner booth table. The staff was attentive but not intrusive. The food was delicious. From appetizers to dessert, we ate every last bite. I had the Veal Romano and nearly licked the plate. My husband had the veal chop and had to stop himself from gnawing on the bone right there at the table. Honestly, you know the food is good when you nearly lose all sense of decorum. Hahaha! We will definitely be going back to Savini. It's now on our list of favorites :)
Very Gracious Host is always happy to see you. The staff is plentiful and well trained. You want for nothing.
The menu is classic Italian American, and wonderfully prepared. We eat a lot of fish and it's always terrific. All of the dishes are very fresh, and very consistent. Always a pleasure to visit our neighborhood gem!
I love this place. I've been coming here for the last 15+ years and have never had a bad meal. Between our maître d' Sully and our waiter Mario made our dinner with friends a memorable dining experience. I'm constantly bringing friends here because I know that I will never have any problems.
Hosted a party of ten which included several out of town couples. The service for that size group on a busy Friday night was remarkably good. I ordered tenderloin of veal which was superb. The staff was gracious and efficient. Five stars all the way around.
This was highly recommended to me. The Calamari was cooked in oil that was not hot enough which made them not crispy and oily. The scallops were perfectly done but not flavorful. The chocolate mousse cake was delicious. The waitstaff was very professional and attentive.
