Sauciety - The Westin Washington National Harbor Ratings and Reviews
The food is generally very good at Saucity and it’s usually a nice, quiet place to have a meal with conversation that you can hear as very few people dine here because it’s a hotel restaurant. This time, however, one of my guests had the trout and it was inedible because of the quantity of salt that was used. Had I know this prior to paying the bill, I would have let the waitress know. The waitress also was very attentive and pleasant.
I’m a Gold SPG member and I will return again.
Kids menu is horrible for breakfast! We ordered pancakes and scrambled eggs for our kids we only got one order of the eggs and they charged us for two. Blueberry smoothie was warm, not very tasty.
Beautiful space but over priced close to $200 for breakfast 4 adults 3 kids
It’s a hotel lobby restaurant with hotel lobby restaurant food quality. Don’t let the view of the harbor fool you. We waited for 45 minutes for our food even with an empty restaurant (which in the weekend should have been a clue). The food was well over priced and the food I ordered was literally not edible because it was so over cooked and tough. The ambiance is also pretty lousy. The one redeeming quality was the server was was kind but didn’t make up for the fact that after reordering and settling for a lukewarm hamburger the $100 bill was pretty disappointing .
This is the second year we have visited Sauciety for a holiday meal buffet. This time it was Thanksgiving. The staff was warm and attentive, the meal included top grade roast beef, turkey, shrimp. Alaskan crab legs, and a wide selection of vegetables and desserts. They also offered unlimited mimosas or margueritas for $20. They make an excellent monitor also. The waterfront view of the sunset was breathtaking. Thanks to the staff for a wonderful Thanksgiving.
This was our second year going to the Thanksgiving Buffet. Only superlatives to use about it. Choice of Deep Fried or Traditional Roasted Turkey. Fish, Crab Legs, Beef for main courses. Stuffing, Gravy and all the trimmings. Just a lot of good food. Service is exceptional. This is a hidden gem in our neighborhood and we highly recommend it.
Lovely restaurant with great views of Ferris Wheel and waterfront - contemporary decor.
Menu had something for everyone.
Crab cakes were excellent - phenomenal!
We loved our wine selection, Kiona - red Cabernet, recommended by our waiter. Great pairing with their prime rib.
Chicken Madeira entre was delicious- Madeira sauce was very tasty. Served over a bed of mash potatoes and a layer of spinach. Great dish for a cold winter evening with a glass of red wine, Kiona.
This was terrible -food was ok; some hits but mostly misses. Anything crab based was very good, but other items (pork, beef, chicken) underwhelming -dry & unseasoned. The service was the worst I’ve ever experienced; we were totally ignored from the moment our plates were delivered. No water refills, no checking to see if wanted more wine, etc. Our plates sat there for over 30 minutes after finished. Our waiter still never came to bring us the check; another server saw we were sitting there and asked if we needed anything and got the check for us. We did not even stay for dessert (usually favorite part of the meal) -at that point just glad to be leaving. I wanted to talk with the manager about our experience, but she was unable to be found. I really don’t understand any of the 4&5 star reviews. I would never eat there again and would actively advise against doing so.
Great food, great view and great service! I've been to most of the restaurants at the National Harbor and only a few would I go again but Sauciety is one of the my new favorites! Mostly American classics on the menu but not one misstep cuisine-wise or service-wise for me. Kudos!
There are not too many places that serve breakfast down in the National Harbor. We ate here 2 times during our stay and both times the breakfast was good, nothing outstanding but not bad either. The décor is very nice, and you get a nice view of the water. The service was a bit slow considering the place was empty.
Food was average and a little over priced for the quality. You're pretty much paying for the view. One waffle was $12, and it wasn't that great. The service was ok. They kept our waters full, but that was about it. Took about 10 minutes for the server to come collect our checks. A gratuity is added for a party of 6+ is, so its a guaranteed tip for them. That might've affected our service. I might go back for a little breakfast but most likely will try a different spot.
We were celebrating a graduation and the manager made a point of learning about our group and why we were there. He gave the graduate a slice of cheesecake as a congratulations. He also made sure we were credited points for the meal. The only thing is the time of day (sunset) left the sun in our eyes. But with the beautiful views of the water and the delicious food, it was easy to overlook. All 9 people in our party loved their meal!
I remember truly enjoying a meal there a few years ago, but things have changed. Items listed on the on-line menu are NO longer on the menu at the location. The reason for choosing this restaurant was because I wanted to try one of the entrees from their on-line menu. The actual menu is very sparse, and not really a reason for coming back to eat.
