3rd visit this local gem. European/French bistro feel, great cuisine, good service and a varied, excellent wine list. Can highly recommend it. Nice atmosphere!
Excellent meal. The wine is a little on the expensive side.
Satchel's is the best place to go for a date, casual seating at the bar for HH, a special occasion - just about any evening. Best restaurant in town.
Excellent food and service. Small but not so loud that you cannot have a conversation.
I would recommend.
A few gals and I went to Satchel's on sixth for brunch. One of our go to's!
Everything about our evening was phenomenal. The food and wine were divine, and the service was impeccable.
We had a great dinner on Saturday night at Satchels. Fabulous menu and dinner was expertly prepared and tasted amazing. Lengthy wine menu and delicious cocktails. The service couldn’t have been better and I can’t recommend enough. Make a reservation now!
Very good food, fast service, nice atmosphere.
The restaurant itself is so cozy, the perfect neighborhood place to come several times per month. Everything from the bustling staff to the delicious plates made me want to add this to my list of Denver favorites. I'll be back!
Satchel's is hands down our favorite restaurant in Denver. We compare every other one to this place and nothing ever lives up to it.
Lovely meal and the wait staff was terrific. Also the owner stopped to say thanks for making a reservation. Very nice!
Love Satchel’s enjoy the menu, nice staff and cozy setting. Highly recommended Satchel’s.
Short rib dish was missing grits, radicchio, turnips and sauce, all replaced by two pencil thin carrots. Service was good but no explanation as to why. Left hungry and annoyed.
Cozy atmosphere with great service and flavorful, interesting entrees.
Fantastic experience all around. Great service and wonderful food and drinks.
Could not rate them any higher. Wonderful staff, awesome food, stellar atmosphere. The food was reasonably priced, and SO well prepared and delicious. Not quite the Cherry Creek vibe, which was great and a little more laid back and less stuffy. I'll be back many times in the future....
This restaurant is exactly what you look for in a great neighborhood restaurant. The food is fantastic and the service is incredible. Already have another reservation to be back.
The food was fantastic! We had 3 different meals , and they were all amazing ( kabocha squash, steelhead trout, & milk braised pork). Wine, beer, & cocktail selection may not be the largest, but the selection is quite excellent!
French bistro feel with creative and interesting menu options. Awesome place to go out for drinks and a nice dinner with friends, or a date night
We love the neighborhood vibe of Satchel's and the creativity of the menu. The Restaurant Week steelhead was outstanding - distinctive with its crunchy, nutty toasted sprouts topping and marvelous broth. Andrew is a marvelous host - always ready with a personal welcome and stories to share.
We dined here for restaurant week and decided after one bite of the food to make it a regular addition to our nights out. The cocktails were expertly mixed, our server Tia was friendly, charming, and knowledgeable about upcoming events, and the food was out of this world. With six different choices on our table due to the 3 course restaurant week menu, I couldn't find a single bite to complain about. This restaurant is one of the best hidden in plain sight gems of Denver. If you eat here, you won't be disappointed !!!
Had a delicious meal for Denver Restaurant Week - the food was tasty and appropriately portioned. I will definitely add Satchel's on 6th to my list of Denver staples!
It was restaurant week. Their appetizer Gnocchi was the best
I would highly recommend Satchel's on 6th. Six of us had a delightful time and every entree, dessert and appetizer was delectable. Our server was charming, happy and met our every need. The smallness of the restaurant allows for intimate dining if that is desired. My only complaint was that the music was too loud making it a little difficult to carry on a conversation.
This was our first visit to Satchel's and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal and evening. The kale salad was refreshing and the arancini di riso in a mushroom broth was very unique and tasty. Both the pork shoulder and duck confit entrees were tender and delicious.
Two of our party tried the Spare Change cocktail, which was quite different. The bar is situated in the center of this restaurant and seems to create a friendly environment. We plan to return for one of their special meals during March.
This quaint neighborhood spot is one of my favorites ! Wonerful menus that change with the season and fabulous fare!
Absolutely lovely spot with excellently crafted food! The poached steelhead trout from the Restaurant Week menu was one of the most delicious meals I've had in a long time.
Andrew and team always do a fantastic job. Great neighborhood restaurant.
They gave us a great table in the back for our meeting. The food is really good, seasonal cuisine with something for everyone.
What a great neighborhood bistro ! The menu is different, the food delicious-duck confit, perfect mussels, good wines and lovely staff. Perfect place to be in a blizzard outside and so comfortable inside. Can't wait to return !
Satchel's stated purpose is to be a neighborhood bistro, and they've been successful in achieving their goal. Sunday night, when we went, they serve "Supper," a fixed price single item menu. Last Sunday, it was fried chicken. Now this isn't your everyday ordinary fried chicken supper. First, it's served family style. Your server will bring out a tray with a platter of chicken -- a half chicken per person -- along with sides of collard greens, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese. There was more than enough food -- we took home half of the chicken. Second, the chicken is unlike any you've had before. A fine ground batter, lightly deep-fried (if that's possible) with great flavor... probably the best fried chicken I've ever had. If you want that meal, you'll have to call ahead and find out when the next Fried Chicken Sunday is coming up. Because two weeks ago, it was Paella night. I can't wait to go back and see how they handle that dish.
Satchel has excellent food and a neighborhood vibe. The owner has a huge collection of vinyl records that he curated through the evening. Really fun place to have a date.
This is a cozy, neighborhood spot that I want to love.
Been here many times. It is so disappointing.
Menu- too limited, and now more fussy
Food- average execution( lukewarm, not flavorful, etc)
Service- Waitress knew zero about menu and and as has happened every other visit— the food takes 3x as long as every other comparable restaurant. Even desert/- a pre- made slice of cake without any prep required took 20 minutes to deliver in a 1/3 full restaurant.
This appears either to be indifference, bad mgt or?
I wish they would get a consultation and have an intervention.
Favorite restaurant in Denver!!
Had a V-day reservation at the bar. The special menu was great from start to finish.
The place is spectacular and the food stellar.
Fabulous service. Love the vibe. The food is consistently really good. Always a great experience.
This place is outstanding. The food is excellent and so are the drinks. I have been there several times now and it is very consistent. If you appreciate good, honest, well crafted meals do not miss this place.
Awesome as always! The closest thing to a neighborhood restaurant that I’ve found, without all the hustle and bustle and traffic hassle of CherrhCreek.
Food and drinks are worth the experience, layout is great. But be prepared to spend at least an hour longer than you would expect from a typical restaurant.
