Always the perfect neighborhood restaurant! Service superb and food always exceeds expectations.
Great. As always!
Great place! We've been several times and they love to shake up the menu with fun and tasty new items. They keep the menu relatively small and make sure each dish is great, vs. massive menus with huge selection but mediocre quality. Whether you're a new guest or a local/regular, you'll feel like family with great service, lots of attention, and an always fun atmosphere. Give it a shot and you'll thank yourself!
My favorite place in the neighborhood!
Service was fun and engaging, food was amazing, and the restaurant was small and cozy.
Fantastic place to have great food without the pretentiousness of white table cloth restaurants, and reasonably priced. Excellent wine and cocktail menu. The service is personal and attentive. It's relatively small so don't be surprised if you strike up a conversation with people next to you.
Small and adorable place. Unfortunately there was a birthday party for someone the night we were there so we could barely hear each other. Food was tasty! Butternut squash hummus with the house made pumpkin crackers was delicious!!! Loved the lighting and vibe. Would nearly 100% recommend if it weren’t so loud.
it was excellant!!
Great neighborhood location, great food, great service. Friendly atmosphere.
Satchels was a great experience. Definitely make a reservation as it is a small neighborhood spot. The vibe is amazing with vinyl records playing while a movie is projected on the back wall. The food was okay with small plates that came out a little colder than preferred but the service was attentive. Great drinks and just a very cool atmosphere. Go here if you get the chance.
Thank you for the review and feedback. We are always trying to improve our service in both the Front and Back of House. Hope to see you again soon!
I really wanted to love this place when we first walked in. It looks just like a classic neighborhood gem. However, several things led me to rate it poorly. The first issue was the size of my pasta carbonara. It was so skimpy, I thought there had been a mistake. Even our waiter said he agreed that the portion was small. After a salad, shared appetizers and pasta, I went home hungry. BMy wife’s hamburger tasted fine but the bun had to be 2 days old. My son’s duck breast was good but not outstanding. Despite the very small pasta portion it cost $29!!! The same for the average duck.
I mentioned something to the staff who graciously wanted to make things better and though I said no, still sent me home with a carry out of pasta. The last problem was the carbonara was not very tasty, even with a few black truffles.
The staff were all very nice but this will not be the neighborhood gem for us.
We have been here before and the food is excellent, but tonight’s clientele was incredibly loud and my husband and I couldn’t talk to each other at all. Guests should understand this is a small place and be respectful of other diners.
All excellent except noise level a little high, but overall a fun experience, seeing neighborhood friends.
This is a very good place. If the only reservation available is at the bar, take it. The food is so good, atmosphere is fun, casual and comfortable.
Phenomenal scene and staff!
What an “unhidden” treasure! I have driven by numerous times but never considered eating there until I searched for a restaurant that could accommodate food sensitivities for my friend. Everything’s about the dining experience was terrific. I will definitely be coming back again and again.
I've been here many times and it keeps going down hill Sunday family food is the pits!
I love our little local restaurant. But the last two times the noise level has been overwhelming. We agreed never to go again, despite very good food and friendly if inefficient service. We will miss it.
Fun spot, great people and service — very creative!
I have a gluten, dairy and soy allergy but had a delicious dinner and great service. There are some Sunday nights when they only serve one thing like fried chicken so if you are Celiac don’t go on those nights. I heard they have a Paella night without gluten so I am planning on going to that night soon.
This is one of the quintessential neighborhood finds in the 6th Avenue/Cherry Creek North area. An ever-changing menu and a small but eclectic wine list adds to the local vibe.
Not my first (or forth) visit and will always find a reason to return.
The food and the service were excellent
Birthday with buddies! Awesome!
Every meal at Satchel’s is a joy. Fabulous apps, dinner and wine. The service is impeccable!
Always great food and service! Nice wine selection as well.
Satchel’s is a magnificently quaint neighborhood restaurant with excellent service and outstanding food & drinks! It’s the perfect place to impress out of town guests, fall in love with your spouse all over again or remind yourself why you moved to Denver!
We had reservations, sat 30 minutes after the reservation time and 20 minutes after being seated had to ask to order our food. We sat at the bar. It seemed terribly chaotic all night but had we had the woman with the funky black glasses as our server we probably would have had enjoyed ourselves more. Food was good and I see why people go. Just reserve a table vs the bar for (hopefully) better service. We will give this another shot, maybe just not on a busy Friday night!
Awesome! Great food, nice people and fun atmosphere
This is a lovely little neighborhood restaurant. I'm there about once a month with friends, clients and family and we always have delicious food and libations. The menu is small, but with a choice for everyone. The staff is wonderfully cheerful, attentive, and knowledgeable. Parking is easy too. I'm almost afriad to post this for fear of not being able to get a reservation...
We had well-coursed, great fall fare over a 2.5 hour dinner. Restaurant went from relaxed as we started at 6 pm on a Saturday to a bustling, full restaurant and bar by 8:30. Service was great throughout. Food was well rounded, flavorful and creative, though one dish slightly over-salted. Cocktails and wine were enjoyably on par with food.
I love this place! The food is consistently excellent. I love the flavors! The service and ambiance are superb.
Excellent food but skip the desserts. Cocktails are very good. Cute restaurant.
Great, very creative food. Very well prepared.
Satchel's consistently delivers in both food and ambiance. The small menu is always interesting and evolving save for the the continued presence of the best burger in Denver. The decor is visually appealing in a shabby chic sort of way, and there always seem to be interesting people all around chatting and laughing and filling the intimate room with good cheer. The service is attentive is friendly and attentive. 5 stars for sure!
Fabulous as always, great interesting neighborhood restaurant
Saturday night with family from out of town. Great neighborhood spot. Just noisier on a Saturday.
We had good food and great service. Only downsides are how small it is and how noisy it can get due to its size. Much of the food was fresh from local farmers' markets and creatively prepared.
Wine choices, while not well known labels, were all very good - at least among the reds. We each had something different (4 people) and all of us enjoyed our own!
Would definitely go back!
Great neighborhood restaurant, nice atmosphere, excellent food.
Fantastic as always!
the food was absolutely outstanding, fresh and seasonal. the staff was attentive and very sweet about our anniversary celebration. i loved the white bordeaux recommendation. cannot wait to come back!
