Great, we are so sorry that it is closing.
This is the best restaurant I have ever been to. It is heartbreaking that it is closing in May. I will make one more visit before returning to NY.
Celebrated a 1 year anniversary . Had been saving this spot for that special day and it did not let us down. Beautiful sunset, food, and quiet enough for a very nice low volume conversation....I didn’t want to have every table around us in on our love talk...
get there early and enjoy a drink at their bar, then dinner.... perfect place
Great service, ambiance and food: so sad will be closing in May.
Overall, the view and ambience of the restaurant were unbeatable. We sat down on the patio right before sunset and had a great view of the sunset across the horizon throughout our entire meal. The food was also delicious, and the prices were reasonable for a nicer restaurant like this. Would definitely recommend the papadelle or the linguine with clams. The service wasn’t quite up to my expectations for such a nice place though - it took quite some time after we’d eaten for the waiter to come back, and then more time for him to bring the check.
Enjoyed our dinner her very much. Beautiful property. Too bad it’s closing ins few months. Hopefully the chef will move his crew to a location with just as much ambiance.
It is very sad that this lovely place will be closing in May.We will miss it a lot.
Outstanding food and service as usual. Going there more often before they close. We just won’t order their $17 one ounce cocktails anymore. $17 for a one ounce Tito’s on the rocks. I could buy the entire bottle for that. Just not worth it. It’s outrageous. The food is also pricey but so good, it’s worth it.
Bittersweet visit. We have been coming for years during spring training. Very upset to see you are closing. As always food and service were outstanding. Thank you for many years of wonderful meals in a magical setting.
Everything is just too perfect
Great as usual. Went with hangar steak, gnocchi and parpadella pasta. Don't close !
Wonderful in from out of town. Was recommended by a local and we found it a wonderful evening.
Perfect! So sorry to hear Sassi is closing in May
This overall experience and it's food are amazing! You've gotta check this out before it "fades into the desert" in May, as they are losing their lease.
Wait staff is wonderful; Tricia was superb. The food was terrific--octopus was excellent as was the red snapper. The Multipulciano wine was fine and at a decent price for such a restaurant. The view and ambiance are always great here whether by the fire outside at the bar while waiting for the table or dining on the patio. We'll hate to lose this restaurant.
Splendid as always. It's a real shame that Sassi will be closing their doors. We have enjoyed many memorable meals on the patio at sunset.
Or waiter was simply outstanding - -a 12 on a scale of 10. Hopefully we can get back oe more time.
Best Italian in a long time!
Food was good however it took over an hour to get it. Server was very good.
Dinner was amazing! View was amazing! We love chef Chris.. blonde lady at front desk was not so nice, very snobby. We can't believe that this place was sold, we are going to miss it a lot
Very strange my wife had to remove her dressy hat while men were in tee shirts at the next table.
You can count on an excellent meal st Sassi’s.
We had the duck med rare and the skin had a lot of fat much we could not eat it. Too Rich for anyone’s taste I have decided .
The prices have increased to an unreasonable amount. $17 for a 1 oz cocktail. Outrageous! We sat for 30 minutes after eating and never got our water refilled or anyone coming back to the table to see if we needed anything. What a shame. It used to be a great place to go. They are squeezing every penny out before they close. Won’t go back.
We were a party of nine adults. Our server, Simon, was great! I had the pork chop and it was the best I have ever tasted...couldn't eat it all so enjoyed it for breakfast the following day. All the other eight people loved their choices also.
So sorry to see this great restaurant close its doors.
The menu was hard to read and understand. The service was quite slow. It is a beautiful place, but did not suit our needs. We were there to meet old friends that we had not visited with for a long time and wanted to get a light fare with a few drinks. When the waiter said"We have great italian wines from Italy" we laughed . Where else would they be from?
One of the very best restaurants I've ever had the pleasure to dine!
Sassi is always a great destination for solid Italian fare. However, due to the impending closure in June, the service staff has considerably declined in their quality and attentiveness to detail...somewhat expected, yet nonetheless, a shame to an organization who always prided itself on quality execution.
Food at Sassi is always very tasty and beautifully presented. We had the flat iron steak and the pork chop entrees with a eggplant cake appetizer. All were wonderful.
Best Restaurant in Arizona, the food, service and ambiance are second to none.
Sassi is always a treat. Chef Chris puts his whole heart into his regional Italian cooking and it is delicious. Just waiting for squash blossoms to be in season again...
Sassi and Chef Christopher is one of our favorite dining spots for years in north Scottsdale. Always outstanding presentations and flavors. Combine the excellent menu with the unique and comfortable setting and Sassi is always our number #1 choice. Many thanks for being here.

You absolutely must try the squid ink pasta. It is amazing. It was recommended by the wait staff. My date said the tomato based pasta was only OK. The staff is very helpful and attentive, the atmosphere wonderful, and the location scenic. A great experience.
Sassi is a favorite when in the valley. We were so sad to learn that they will be closing in June so we went twice during this visit and were not disappointed. The service is always impeccable and the food is delicious. Our favorites include the octopus, orecchiette, manilla clams, and wild boar ragu. Unfortunately, they did not have wild boar our second evening which was replaced with veal and I did not enjoy it as much. Go while you still can! I am going to miss this spot very much. Thanks for all the great times and great food!!
Food was delicious. Over all great dining experience.
We went to Sassi's to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday. We were given a private room with a fireplace. The room was beautiful - and we felt very well taken care of by all of the staff. The food was amazing. We are just sad that we will not be able to celebrate my milestone birthdays at Sassi's - unless we rent the whole space. :)
Beautiful outdoor setting near Pinnacle Peak. Overall the food was very good and the presentation was fine. The menu was somewhat restricted as to choices of entrées. Not many traditional Italian dishes. Wine selections were good with reasonable prices. One person in party ordered snapper that arrived not warm throughout. Overall a good experience with fine service.
First time diners, truly enjoyed the menu and ambiance . Will hate to see it close.
As always, my wife and I had a great time with great food and service.
