It was a beautiful day and we were sitting outside. It was busy as it was Father’s Day. The food was really good and the service overall, also pretty good despite being very busy. The only thing I would add is that having ordered the eggs Benedict, I asked to switch the peameal bacon to regular bacon and unfortunately and although it is on the menu for another brunch item, they would not do it. Apparently because of how busy it was. I did not understand how switching from peameal bacon to regular bacon, could be a problem but it seems that it was. Again, it is a very small thing and I thought it would have been easy to do. Overall great place. We are regulars either for a drink, a snack or a meal. Thank you. Céline.

Amazing as always!!! Everyone from the second you arrive is there to make your experience 10/10. Everything we ate was fantastic and the atmosphere is great.

We adore Sassafraz, especially having a few rounds of French 75s and enjoying the new Lobster Salad. We love to gather with pals on the patio in summer and cafe bar in cooler weather but this time it was so packed outside we sat inside.

Fantastic service and excellent food. We got oysters and burgers. The food was delicious. The restaurant is beautiful. We sat by the indoor waterfall. We highly recommend it.

Got seated fast and got a great waiter (can’t remember his name) he was very helpful in deciding what we had a for dinner. We started off with the beef tartare which was good.I had the duck which the duck was cooked just right and same for the accompanying mash potatoes. My girlfriend had the Brozzini. Which was cooked a little over done. But the broccoli that came with it was the worst I’ve ever had in my life which we did not eat due to how toxic it tasted. The waiter and the manger both told me this is how it’s made which for someone like myself fine dining isn’t a new experience and especially for a restaurant that is trying to be prestigious having a accompanying side that taste so terrible should have not been allowed to be served. But i digress After speaking to the manger he offered a dessert which wasn’t going to fix the terrible taste in my mouth. So after asking the manger for the bill I paid and we left shortly after. I will not be going back. Hopefully they fix there quality control. 1.7/5

If you are sitting outside on the Cumberland side, the noise level from the traffic is very high. Still a nice place to go to.

It’s been years since I’ve been to Sassafraz. However, I’d rather spend my money elsewhere. Hostess wasn’t friendly. Our server was very energetic and friendly, but it took over 25 minutes for him to take our drink order. He attended to another table before us, that was seated after us. Food was great. Coffee was cold, but dessert was delicious. Waiter did bring out a special treat for our birthday person celebrating. I asked for water, never received a refill during dinner. Ask for water again during dessert and we it received quickly. It was nice atmosphere, but I’d rather spend my $500 I spent on dinner at another restaurant.
