Great experience and the service was exceptional, he walked us through the menu giving some advice on his favorite foods...we chose both recommendations and enjoyed everything!

our waitress was so nice. my sister has a lot of allergies and they were very accommodating and informed about the menu items. I love the atmosphere and the sushi was delicious. if you're going there, you have to try the green tea creme brûlée. it's life changing. i will be going back.

This is my fifth visit to Sasa. As far as I’m concerned this is one of the best authentic Sushi restaurants in the Bay Area. Pricy, but given the quality of the food and the muted elegance of the restaurant, well worth it.

The food here is always amazing and that is why we keep coming back, almost weekly. We always sit at the bar and order a few rolls and some wine. However, next time we won’t be sitting at the bar. The bartender had a very foul mouth (f-bombs) and was so loud it was very distracting to our conversation. We will be back for the awesome sushi, but next time we will reserve a table in the dining room.

Sat at the bar and had a great experience ! Service is usually better at the bar, we find ! The sushi is so good here, though sometimes the wait from the kitchen is annoying. Presentation is always artful !

Although our waiter was gracious and the food was delicious, there was some back ground noise from the main Sushi area that was uncomfortable.... a bit of "ghetto" talk that made this experience not that great!!!!! Perhaps the folks working behind the "sushi" bar area can keep that "ghetto" talk to themselves in the future!!!

The food and service were great. Love this place and will for sure be back. I went with my 6 year old for lunch, she loves sushi, and although it’s doesn’t have good ratings for kids everyone was super sweet with her. Thank you for making our special lunch date even more special.

Ambiance was great, as was the decor, so we were a bit more hopeful that the dining experience would match. The waiter was friendly, but the service was slow and ver piecemeal. Each of our 7 people were served at different times. We were told by a young staff that he was too young to help us instead of him immediately searching for our waiter.

The food was alright, but not much better than what we could get at the strip mall sushi place. I had hopes for much more.

Sasa is becoming one or our two go-to restaurants. We dined there three times in the last few weeks - with friends and family. We've introduced a few of our friends and family to it and all loved it. Favorites are: Ahi Tower, eggplant, short ribs, cauliflower, Dragon roll and saba. We'll eat there again and again. Our server, Louie, is very helpful and friendly.

Must have been an off day. This was our fourth time and from the minute we walked in the place seemed off. From the host not greeting us or welcoming us to one of the bus boys reaching for our plates before we were done. I asked someone who walked by for something and he said "Yo", not yes ma'am or how can I help you.
Also, menu only. Don't try to request anything else as they do not accommodate.

We arrived a little early and went to the bar for a drink. The bartender was rude. We told her three times we wanted to read the wine list, which she apparently thought was unnecessary as she wanted to just describe what was available and have us order based on her description. However, in the dining room the food and service were very good and we will certainly return.

Well...I was not that impressed with SaSa. Our table was in the back in the "young kid" section. We were celebrating my son's 17th birthday. We had 7 people in our party and I had made the reservation a week prior to the event.

The lowdown:
Our server was dull (as in uninteresting) and slow.
The food was pretty good...We ordered pretty much everything. The rolls were fresh...The miso soup was warm and way too salty.
The tea was in a tea bag in a fancy pot - Very meh for a Japanese restaurant.
The seating area that we were in was not great, and the bus persons, although very efficient, were really intrusive. Like cleaning the table as we were eating intrusive. Mind you, we spent hundreds (yes, hundreds) of dollars.

Probably won't rush back. It wasn't horrible, but sadly, it wasn't memorable either.

Salsa used to be one of my favorite restaurants and when friends and I had lunch this past weekend, it has really declined. The service was extremely lacking and the menu had changed quite a bit. I no longer will recommend this restaurant, as it’s quite expensive and needs to have service up to par

My reservation was messed up by Open Table Ap so they didn't know there were three people instead of two. The restaurant was fully booked but they made it work. Really delicious food-- but the portion side was pretty tiny. Will return, and would recommend it to friends.

This must have been my 4th time this year to dine at this establishment. Until this last time, I really liked it, but was not impressed this time. the food is delicious, very nicely presented but the service we had this last time was not acceptable. Our waiter, Louie, I think, kept on hurrying us to order, because of course, he wanted to turn the table. It was 5:30PM. come on, you will turn your table, but if you have an attitude and give the terrible service we had, you will not making the tips you expect.
With my choice of entrees, I ordered Miso soup. Well it didn't get there, even after I asked for a second time, until I have been served my entrees, and the soup was lukewarm. Mid dinner, my husband asked for a second glass of wine. Well he never got it! We left very disappointed. I don't think I will return even though the food is outstanding, but when you pay the price they are asking for, you want the whole experience to be a good one.
I come from a family of restaurateur, and having owned one myself on the Peninsula, I was appalled by the condition of the Ladies Room; there was no seat cover left, pieces of toilet paper all over the floor, the trash can was full. Again, it is 5:30PM. the start of the evening. Obviously , the manager didn't bother to check if the Ladies Room needed some tidying up.
Too bad I will have to look for another Japanese restaurant .

Love the Restaurant. Food choices are creative and big. Sashimi is top quality. Side dishes are inventive. Try the cauliflower and the eggplant dishes. Ahi parfait is a work of art and delicious. Sever is excellent, delightful and friendly.
