Another fantastic experience at Sasa in spite of pandemic and pending shutdown. Love these guys and highly recommend

Really amazing sushi spot. Fidel our waiter was so great to take time to educate us on the menu. I have to say I wasn’t ready to be as impressed as I was. Can’t wait to return. Worth every penny!!!

It was great until the protesters walked by and were talking to the people that were dining there too. It was a little scary but they kept walking. Overall it was a great experience.

Wait staff was pleasant without being fake. Food was good, some was great, some needed better execution.

The only thing that really bothered me, was that the staff came back to the table a lot, but left behind the same dirty dishes the whole meal. My partner ordered a second drink and his first empty glass was left there the ENTIRETY of the meal. Each time the staff brought a new dish to the table they fumbled and clinked to get it on the table instead of smoothly removing the empty dirty plates first.

My partner and I are long time service industry vets but we try not to pick at service and just enjoy the meal. However, when basic service steps like this are missed it detracts from the experience. Overall though we had a good time, food was tasty, and everyone was friendly.

*one more thing.. I know that ambience is very different during the pandemic as the dining room cannot be full capacity, but it was far too quiet in there. Maybe turning up the music and adding candles or something to heighten the mood would go far.

Quiet table outdoor patio warm and cozy. Entire meal was excellent.

Sasa was wonderful! We really appreciated the distancing efforts and other COVID precautions. And as always, the food was AMAZING! Everything on the menu not only "looks" good from the descriptions, but absolutely lives up to that description! it's so hard to not order one of everything.

Highlights for us were the omakase, the spicy scallop nigiri, the garlic albacore nigiri, the Sasa "soup-less" ramen, the ricotta donuts, the chocolate mousse, and the drink (the Tatsu-rita).

Definitely going to come back!

Sasa has a covered patio with a few seats and we sat there. There is an open area with more seating. Sasa has really great nigiri and several selections we like. The eggplant with caramelized onions in miso honey source is great. We had lettuce wraps with shrimp tempura. We also ordered 5 shrimp tempura. Our nigiri order was hamachi, maguro, tai and sake. We also ordered farmers roll and rainbow roll. All were very fresh. hat is why we go there for special days. Service is always attentive. While SASA is pricey, we continue to comeback to celebrate.

Very good food, nice outdoor patio. Price way too high. While I liked the restaurant, it was not worth the price.

This is place I chose to celebrate my birthday! It was just as delicious as the last time we were there!

Outdoor seating expanded, very nice. Good food and service as usual. Only bad part is outdoor dining is not closed off so there are people cutting across the outdoor dining spot to go on Main St.

Great ambiance and food!

Order starter, sushi and two main courses. They brought sushi last as if it was dessert long after the main dishes. Was disappointed that happened but more disappointed they said that is how they usually serve sushi which is last? I’ve been eating sushi a long time and never had this experience. If sushi chef is running behind just say so. Food was good but make sure to tell them the order you want your food.

Great service and awareness to COVID-19 safety. We enjoyed our dinner- always scrumptious.

Anniversary

We love to go to Sasa. Always a great experience. Make sure to have the Sasa Roll.

We made reservations for my husband’s birthday and we were seated immediately upon arrival. Since we’re still in the pandemic, we were seated outside where they turned the parking lot into their outdoor dining area with lights, umbrellas and a water fountain. (the interior decor was super cute and would love to go back when we can dine indoors) The food was very good, priced on the higher end but good portions especially the sashimi pieces. Our server was easy going, nice and attentive enough without being annoying. We had a great time!

Had such a great time here during SIP. We sat at the normal patio area but they had created an extension of their patio that was quite nice as well. The food was amazing - the black miso cod melted in our mouths, the sushi was fresh and delicious, and the ricotta donuts were a perfect ending. We celebrated our anniversary there and the team made us feel so special. Recommend for a special occasion or just great food! Can’t wait to try it again when they can be fully open again!

This restaurant is TOP NOTCH! Food, staff, ambiance are all the best. Even COVID-19 can't stop an excellent restaurant. Have eaten here 5 times since March on the patio and will come back many more!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the bay area. Hard to beat Louis, the waiter and Jason the manager, working so hard to make you feel loved and wanted. To top that, food and cocktails are off the planet. Covid seating outside is wonderful!

Noise level moderate because of COVID restrictions & outdoor dining. "New" patio dining area is lovely, but it's on Main St in W.C., so on Friday night you get the show that is vehicles "cruisin' Creek" & the party atmosphere that follows. Food is always flawless as is the service. Nothing like SaSa and I'm glad they are making it though these tough times!

Absolutely delicious meal!

We were celebrating a birthday and the staff was very convivial and helpful. My only qualm is the small plate aspect but if your not terribly hungry, it's tasty.

Their new post-COVID set-up is actually quite nice. Tables well spaces, and they've added a mural and the outside wall so it looks nicer too! Food is great, as always. Just wish they were open for lunch once in awhile instead of just dinner now.

It has to be really hard to change your entire business and only serve outside, on what used to be a parking lot.

Great to be able to eat outside. They did a good job with the outside space and distancing. The food was delicious as always.
