Service was pathetic. 15 minutes before a server talked to us and it’s because I had to ask for a server. Ordered 5 items total, all came out in 5 minute intervals so I had my entree 10 minutes before my appetizer and 15 minutes before my date.
Great food and service. This is a special and repeat destination for the family.
Great service with Louie. The chef can accommodate excellent options for those following Keto Vegan and all other diners. Each dish was superb
I took my daughter and mother for lunch to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We each ordered a lunch set and we all very much enjoyed it, excellent presentation, perfect flavors and a lot of food! I mentioned it was my daughter's birthday and after the meal our server brought out a beautiful dessert with candle. Great experience overall.
Outstanding, as usual! We love the ambiance and vibe of the place. Sushi is always of the best quality and ( most importantly) fresh!
Wanted a more sophisticated Japanese restaurant with a more diverse menu than the usual NorCal fare. Sasa really was just right. A izakaya (small plate) restaurant. The server was very helpful in guiding us through the menu. Each plate was a visual and sensory delight.
Best sushi in the area by far, worth every penny!
Duck buns are the best here. Pork belly skewers were also delish!
My husband and I enjoyed a quiet dinner on the patio, a very pleasant
environment with heaters. Service was a little slow but pleasant. Our salad came before our cocktails and this is always a little disappointing. My husband's fish allergy was considered and the server was knowledgable of the menu in this regard. The food was pretty good-- the winter salad was a hit but the pork belly skewers lacked flavor. Soba noodles special was very tasty if a bit salty and the duck confit buns were solid.
Always excellent food and service, even on a busy new year's eve!
Great food; great service.
I've been a few times and it's always great. The cocktails are good, nice wine list and the food is always fantastic. The waiter suggested a nigiri we hadn't considered and it was one of the best I've ever had. I'd tell you the name, but it's a little noisy in the evenings and he had a thick accent, so I really have to idea. Everyone at our table had a great experience.
Great food and nice atmosphere!
Everything was delicious!
Food was wonderful, service was great, hostess was Not!
We sat out in the patio which was quietist than the main dining area. I was told it was an enclosed patio and very comfortable. And while it was nice and had heaters, our legs were very cold from the draft at the bottom of the enclosure.
Food and service was very good. Pretty pricey for what you get.
Ordered scallop appetizer for $20 and it consisted of 3 small scallops.
Outstanding! I appreciate the creativity of their daily specials - the mushrooms on the scallop dish were incredibly good. I could have eaten a whole plate of them! They also brought back the Umi Masu (ocean trout) that is my favorite. The tiny slice of lime that they add really hits the spot. They had a completely full house, yet every staff member was attentive and personable. This is one of our favorite go-to restaurants because they are consistently excellent.
Always good food and service
great place !!
Very tasty- great selections
A gem in downtown Walnut Creek. Wonderful lunch specials. Excellent service. Very fresh food.
Great as usual. Brought someone that hadn’t been before. She loved it and of course will be back and the rest of us will too!
Walked in early for my reservation andthey already had my table ready. The food was awesome and bread pudding was the best!
Was good we sat on the couches
The ambience was ok. The hostess was very pleasant. Our server was terrible - He was pushy and "in our face" personally and we were rushed to finish our meal by the bus person. Barely set our forks down while he was cleaning up. The food actually made my daughter and I sick later that evening. We ordered $200 worth of popcorn chicken, edamame (best item that we had), riblets (those were pretty good too, but I think we got sick off of them...Lots of butter), meatball/chicken skewers and California rolls. Not worth the $. Will not be returning.
We love eating at this restaurant. We there on Tuesday Nov 26th celebrating my birthday with my daughter and boyfriend from Nashville. The food was delicious and service was good, but unfortunately it was the first storm of the year and the power went out towards the middle of our meal. The staff seemed unprepared to handle the situation. Obviously we were not able to order any additional items to complete our meal and it seemed forever for them to settle the check. Fortunately we were able to pay in cash. I understand there is no way to predict these types of things, but it was disappointing to have to leave. I thought it would have been nice for them to offer us a discount on a future visit
The food here has really gone downhill. We used to enjoy coming here because it was something different, a bit higher end, too. The menu is now down market, many items are fried & lacking in flavor. On this particular night, the waitress spilled sauce on us, too. I wouldn’t go back.
The floor was wet under our table. We asked several times for heater to be turned back on. Finally my husband had to go inside and find someone. Service was very slow.
I was 10 minutes late and they cancelled my reservation. Seem a little strange given Bay Area traffic
Amazingly delicious food, small portions, tried a lot of different things. My partner and I really loved this place. Service was ok, not slow or fast, but for price (spent 80-90$ per person) could have been a bit more attentive to our needs. The food is amazing, would def come back, just it is very expensive for very small portions. The sashimi is incredible, loved all of the apetizers, sushi was decent.
Every special was outstanding. Who knew a corned beef recipe at a Japanese restaurant could be so delicious. Melt in your mouth spectacular. The salmon sashimi always so delicious and the steak on the rock mouth watering. Every detail every garnish vegetable always perfection. Louie the best service
Great stop for an afternoon out shopping. Food was terrific & waiter Sonny was on top of it.
Once again the crew at Sasa delivered the freshest fish and the tastiest culinary treats. Love this place and would go back any time
The outside seating really needs to be adjusted - there is parking lot adjacent to the seating. It really takes away from the ambiance and the ability to enjoy ones food , exhaust and emissions so close by. They should find a way to enclose that section of the restaurant. The food was and Sevice was excellent once we were moved to inside seating.
Fresh fish, total foodie spot! full bar for cocktails, cheers!
Very loud. Can't hear the people I'm dining with.
Everything is so fresh and generous amounts. My grandson loves the sushi here and he is 17.
Food was good but we were asked to leave our table as they had other guests. I was meeting girlfreinds from college and picked this restaurant just to be asked to leave before we were done.
