Wonderful, helpful staff and great food. Really excellent cocktail menu. Lovely place for a date night, the menu is built for sharing.
Go for the Fries. They are the best you ever ate. Many other good things - largely lots of Sushi and other Japanese influenced foods.
Food was excellent and service was great. I will be back for sure
Sasa, is always good. Best part is you can try several things as there are small portions
Our standby for great food and fabulous staff!! Sushi is delish!
Every visit to Sasa is great! Always excellent food, cocktails and service.
I am disappointed in the service I received. I made a reservation on opentable. When I arrived was told there are no tables. I went to bar and it took forever for service.
Enjoyed an evening out with my husband. We savored some tasty cocktails. Their sushi rolls are on the larger size. I was content after eating a tiger roll and a hand roll. The poached pear dessert is a amazing. On a side note, the waitress did have a list of options for those with gluten allergies.
We spent $120 and ordered a few sushi dishes as well as two main dinners. The sushi was not very good at all and the only good thing was the Korean beef dinner. Just overall we we're very disappointed for the price we expected far better.
Good food and drink
This is a great Neighborhood Restaurant. An excellent choice of menu items. Good wine list. And the prices are really good as well. Best french fries in the world!
Eli did a nice job
I rarely do dining reviews and I eat out constantly across the globe. Sasa is a huge go to for our family, at least 2x per month. The food and service is always outstanding. Great place to go before catching a movie at Shaker Square. Awesome for take out too! The hot rock is always a hit. Sushi is excellent. We left a glove last time and they immediatly contacted me so I could retrieve it before having left Shaker Square.
Scott Kim and his team might make the best sushi on the East side. I love their SASA fries and
SASA fire roll, which does sizzle before you eat it. Great place to warm up on frigid winter evening!
The food items we had have element of sugar in most of it, it needs to be more authentic. The menu selection have several choices and also has good seafood options. The service was great with several efforts made to make good recommendations.
Great food and oustanding service. A good place for a meal on the east side of Cleveland.
The service at SASA was great. The food is mediocre and costly. My kids love it.
Theee stars overall. Layout is not optimal, and we had a table near the door on a bitter cold night and froze. Menu is interesting, pan-Asian with some twists on American standards. Nice wait staff.
Perfect!! As usual. New menu is wonderful. Toro special roll was perfection.
We went to Sasa for my daughter's 18th birthday party. We were a big group, but they accommodated us without complaint. The food and the service were both excellent. We couldn't have been more pleased. Thanks for a great party, Sasa!
The food was delicious. I had they meatballs and spicy dynamite rolls and since that day I buy them weekly.
Our server, Kayla, was attentive, personable and well versed with the menu and suggested several delicious appetizers and small plates!
The four of us enjoyed a variety of dishes, from sushi to hot pot to desserts. Every item we had was made with high quality ingredients and was well prepared. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive.
Love this restaurant and the owners.
We had a delicious meal and Sasa went above and beyond to take care of us. We had two separate tables and both were well taken care of with excellent service. We will return often.
One of the best spots on the East side for fusion Asian!
Excellent sushi dining experience! Sasa fries are a must and if you enjoy some spice in your meal with an excellent presentation the SASA fire roll is great. Overall expierence was nice however if your looking for a boring sushi experience (quiet/no conversations) then SASA is not for you!
The food was fabulous! The service and ambiance were wonderful! I would recommend Sasa for every occasion!
Upbeat and bright ambience. Staff was very helpful in navigating the menu and making suggestions. Food (sushi and tempura) was excellent. Would highly recommend for a change in pace.
This was my first time to Sasa, and I will be a return visitor. The menu has items that aren't on most menus, and the food was excellent. I highly recommend the Kobe beef gyoza, SASA fire roll, and Vietnamese roll, the oyster fry, along with the Miso lobster bisque. If you like creme brulee, you will love their trio (regular creme brulee, green tea creme brulee, and chocolate creme brulee). The whole squid was good, as the sauce was wonderful, and it was grilled to perfection. The only disappointment was the 5 spice lamb rib. Lamb is a mild, tender meat. This lamb was obviously grass-fed, as the meat had a stronger flavor intensity, primarily a grassy flavor (that’s the actual term). However, that wasn't the problem. The lamb was far over-cooked, and the 5 spice marinade overpowered the lamb, and tasted burnt. This was just one item in an otherwise outstanding dinner. The restaurant is loud, modern, clean, and the tables are close. This is a fun, wonderful place to have a great meal.
We dine at Casa at least 2-3 times per month and have never been disappointed. The food is fresh and well prepared, sake menu is fantastic and then of course there is the staff. The manager is one of the tops in the NE Ohio area and she treats us like family when we visit. We love Sasa - give it a try - you'll become regulars.
I am never disappointed. The sushi melts in your mouth. I think it is the best around here. The chefs wave and smile; the waiters are helpful without being bothersome. I always choose my favorite nigiri sushi and we all have miso soup and the cold steamed spinach, which is tiny and delicious, to get some green vegetables in there. I could do without the sports TV that's on all the time, but overall I LOVE going to Sasa.
A repeat “offender” who brought 3 new people. I keep reordering the entree I got the first time. I still love the vegan domburi. One guest ordered it with the spicy beans on the side (she liked the dish but the beans were too spicy). Another ordered a shrimp entree which they sautéed since she doesn’t do fried and was very pleased. The third had soup, skewers and dumplings and thought all were tasty. I am a big fan.
Always a good meal at SASA.
I picked Sasa because I had an out-of-town job candidate and wanted to impress him with some of Cleveland’s best. He was blown away.
First time at SASA. Service was excellent. Food was excellent. Noise level made having conversation among 4 people a bit difficult.
Sasa combines the best of authentic Japanese with an excellent choice of creative tapas plates, great for sharing. The food is consistently delicious and the service is wonderful. It is one of my favorite go-to places when I a craving a great meal.
Great neighbourhood gem.
Good but not great. M
A little shady area of town but the restaurant is a gem! Loved out sushi rolls and appetizers!
