So much flavor! Everything was interesting, and many things were amazing. This was our first visit, and we will definitely return!
Sarma is my favorite restaurant in the Boston area. Hands down. Drinks. Food. Ambiance. I'm a carnivore but the veggies at Sarma are always my fave meals. :)
Great food, very colorful presentation and good service.
Superb restaurant with unique dishes and great food. Nice ambience.
Great food, as always. The pumpkin fritters and corn bread were amazing.
It's our second time at Sarma's and the food is delicious, with a good balance of Mediterranean flavors. The only negative thing about the food, even though all the plates taste very good, there isn't much variety in the flavors, all the dishes taste the same.
Excellent food and service as always
The food at Sarma is some of the best. Each dish has numerous complex flavors and spices, the cocktails are top notch, and the ambiance is great. Best restaurant in the Greater Boston Area.
Amazing restaurant BUT beware of the parking situation. There are a handful of spots in front of the restaurant and the rest of the area is permit parking only. There is a parking lot that is not as nearby as they say. Its a 10 minute walk from the lot to the restaurant. Not OK for anyone elderly. It would be super helpful if the restaurant provided an address that could be plugged into Waze or any GPS so you can find the lot. It’s important to build in extra time to park and walk to the restaurant. Fantastic meal with great ambiance.
Food was great. Drinks were great. I will be back!
Sarma is always perfection.
Wonderful place but can’t bring my hearing impaired friends anymore. Fabulous food but way too noisy.
Our meal was fantastic! We had to make the reservation almost 2 months in advance but it was worth it!
Very flavorful entrees food, lot of vegetarian options, helpful bartender and really enjoyed our dinner there and would highly recommend.
As usual, Sarma gave me and my date a great evening. We had 4 dishes from the menu but couldn't resist one of the chef's offerings in addition. The food was great - as always. The service was not quite as good as usual, but adequate and did not detract from the meal.
Food were way over spicy even for me who is coming from middle eastern/Mediterranean cuisine. The customer service is terrible. When I asked our waiter where can I change my son, he said I cannot since they do not have a changing table. And I said this is not a kid friendly restaurant, his answer was “it is not intended to be”. Here is an very small example of their attitude!
Great as always. My new favorite restaurant. Keep an open mind. You may think you know what you want but then they walk around with their special and you pick thAt instead. Also they make drinks to order. I've learned a lot about cocktails from the bar tender. And don't be afraid to sit at the bar
In a word: amazing. One of the best restaurants in the Boston area, with interesting and complex tapas dishes and a hip atmosphere. Casual. A foodie paradise. Wish it were larger, though, as reservations are tough to get and the place can get really noisy. Also the location is awful - tough to park and in the midst of a residential area with resident-only parking or a too-long walk to lots which are creepy at night. No public transportation nearby. Wish they'd consider moving to a more central location.
Great place for dates! Fun music and keep an eye for chef's specials
The food is uniquely delicious. I love going with friends and family and sharing all the small plates. I also love when the chef sends some off menu dishes around. The service is very good too - staff are knowledgeable about the dishes and easy to talk to. I have some food allergies and the chef gave me a special menu with items I could not eat crossed off. First place in my lifetime that ever went to that level of service. Definitely one of my favorite places to eat.
As always, Sarma means delicious food, delightful cocktails and wines, and dedicated service.
Perfect in every possible way. Most importantly, the food was divine - every single dish we ordered was as amazing as the one before it; I am not exaggerating. The staff from front door to table-side were all extremely responsive and professional. I called ahead asking them to prepare a list of menu items I can order even though I amvgluten-free and dairy-free, and my request was accepted with grace - I was not made to feel awkward at all. When we were seated, the host handed me a mocked-up menu with all items containing gluten or dairy crossed out. It was SO helpful for me to be able to decide without asking my server a million questions. And there were many items for me to choose among! We love the decor and atmosphere. I have already recommended Sarma to 5 different friends. You will love it.
every dish was awesome. there were no dud dishes.
All 6 dishes we ordered were excellent. Chef sends out non menu items dim sum style- you pay for what you keep. Recommend for parties of 4 so everyone can taste each dish, we were only 2 so got stuffedquickly and couldn’t order more dishes we wanted to try. Def will go back
Truly excellent food - one of the best restaurants I've been to in Boston.
The food was very good. The staff was helpful acquainting us with how to order and how much to order . If anything we order too much. If we had know that there would be additional offerings made by servers during the meal we might have started by ordering less. We however were happy with our selections. For such a large open space the noise was far less than similar restaurant spaces.
This place has the best food. There’s not much more to say. It’s all small plates that are insanely creative and delicious. The menu changes constantly. Just go there, you will not be sorry.
The food was phenomenal! We ordered the fried chicken--it was crispy and unique. The lamb burgers were cooked to perfection. The scallop dish came with cooked spinach and sweet potato which was very different but amazing. You need to try this place!
Sarma is great. I have not had a dish here that I haven't liked. The only downsides to this place is that it does get a bit noisy and the servers do seem a bit stretched thin, but it was overall a good experience. The fried oyster special was unbelievable, as were the pork belly biscuits. Great place to take visitors from out of town.
Never disappoints. Fantastic food.
My boyfriend and I were here for Valentine’s Day and It was perfect! The food here is beyond incredible, the wait staff are very friendly, and the cocktails are out of this world. At one point, someone (the manager?) even came by an apologized for a particular dish (some Brussels sprouts) for taking so long and informed us he would take it off our bill. We honestly hadn’t even noticed the wait!
This was my second time here. The first time we sat the the bar. We wish we had known about the chef's specials that were passed around before we ordered. The food was excellent but the server not so much.
Sarma is our go-to spot for important occasions (birthdays, Valentine's, anniversaries, etc) and as always they hit it out of the park. We ordered 7 dishes (which was extremely ambitious but we couldn't decide) and each one was amazing in its own way. But the clear favorite was the black sea cornbread, which was both sweet and savory and one of my favorite things I've ever eaten. You just can't go wrong here!
Sarma always pleases!!! Incredible flavors, interesting dishes. Each one a winner.
This was the second time that we visited. Food was good, service was nice and it was worth everything. had a good time!
I can’t get enough of this place! Every dish is unique and that’s what I love. New menu though had a couple old staples like 7 layer hummus and my dates favorite drink like Devotion. I opted for a couple of new items like the baba ganoush and the Suitor, if you like rum. Will always go back for more. Highly recommend for the adventurous type.
Ah-mazing! We were convinced every dish was the best one until we tried the next.
One of the best places in the Boston area. Superb food, especially if you like small plates and Mediterranean food.
Owner Cassie (and her team) consistently delivers incredibly delicious, creative and ever-evolving menu. Flavors and textures unknown and known collide on the taste buds. Sophisticated Turkish soul food. My wife and I love Sarma and have been coming since the week it first opened. I was introduced to Cassie (while she was sharpening her talents at Oleana) via the WGBH public TV series Neighborhood Kitchens that featured her.
The food was again outstanding. I would eat there every week but it is hard to get a reservation unless you plan weeks in advance.
