We were treated like royalty at our recent wedding dinner reception for my daughter. I appreciate the attentiveness, kindness and communication expressed by the hostesses, special events planner, servers and general manager. I highly recommend planning your special event dinner at Sarento's!
Upon arriving and shown to our table.....which was OUTSIDE we requested a table under the covering and with a view. There were 2 tables available and we were told by the main hostess they were for other reservations. My reservation was made on Open Table and we put back by the booths. My husband was not happy! Our waiter was great and the food was good. Will we go back? Not sure.
Great food, good service, beautiful setting. All the homemade pastas were excellent and the fish was very fresh. Had an awesome sunset from our table.
Always a beautiful view and great food & service!
Excellent food and staff! If you want a table next to the beach book early.
Our meal and service was amazing top to bottom. We were celebrating a birthday and they did not rush us from our table at all, all night. We were sat on the patio and had the prettiest view of sunset. Our waiter offered to take our photo multiple times and even reminded us at sunset. There was not a morsel of food left on our plates. Everything was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The wild tiger shrimp scampi was to die for. Highly recommend when you come to Maui. Make sure to eat before or during sunset for a stunning view!
Beautiful view, the owner was kind enough to introduce himself at our table, the service staff was attentive, the food tasted great. This was a business meal, and neither I nor my clients were disappointed.
Always a great view. Our waitperson, Brady, was professional and friendly. Usually I have the filet, but this time I tried the spaghetti and meatballs, I thought it was delicious. Guests' entrees were all well-received, as well. Profiteroles were great!
Beautiful setting on the ocean. The menu is small but food delicious. Ww had the ono with pasta and marinara...so good. Salads were fresh and good. Great sunset view and they had a professional photographer taking photos if you wanted- we loved that option. Our server was nice enough but not much personality or aloha spirit...which surprised us for an upscale restaurant!
One of my top picks on the island of Maui this is to go to spot for us every time we vacation. Absolutely impeccable service the views are amazing and the food is delicious highly recommend making the stop to this little gem.
We were able to secure a table outside (one of 6) that was uncovered (no roof) to watch the sunset which was great as it was much quieter than ‘inside’ the restaurant. The service was quick and attentive. We both had seafood dishes and they were great, very well prepared and tasty and well described by Michael, our server. Serving sizes were just right but we had no room left for dessert, other than a bourbon for myself. This is definitely the best seaside restaurant location along with 5 Palms next door, in all Kihei and Wailea you are just steps away from the breaking surf. Be aware there is limited parking on-site and that valet parking is available for dinner hours. There is usually parking available at the Keawakapu Beach parking lot which is almost next door.
We had a great time. We got the table we asked for. We really appreciated that.
We will be back soon.
Excellent service in a wonderful setting!
The professionalism and service is probably the best in the world.
The beach front setting with sunset views -- magical!
Great meal. The service was superb. The food was creative and delicious. We highly recommend.
Food took 2:15 hours to arrive.
We were looking forward to our dinner at the beach with Sarento's. Upon arrival, the valet parking was a bit unclear but overall turned out fine. We were seated at a table overlooking the beach for sunset. The blinds were halfway shut until a couple minutes before sunset. Our server was very disinterested in making our evening enjoyable. He was not attentive and seemed to be distracted by whatever was going on in his life. The specials weren't offered or even mentioned, he wasn't interested in questions about the menu or preferred items and he disappeared for unusually long amounts of time. Our food was a bit average and with the local competition, this restaurant will be overlooked. The pesce picatta was quite bland and flavorless. However, I was very satisfied with the Kula Tomato Gazpacho. It was flavorful and had enough kick to awaken my senses. All in all, I would only go back for appetizers and salads but skip the entrees. This restaurant could use a makeover.
This restaurant is set on a absolutely lovely place! The food is exquisite, the flavours were heavenly! I will definitely go back! ❤️🤙
It was a very pleasant experience. Great food and service. Beautiful view. One of our favorite special restaurants on Maui. The only down side was terrible traffic between Kaanapali and Kehei. It took an hour and a half to get there... about twice as long as we planned on.
The view, especially closest to the beach is outstanding. Food is just okay as well as the service. We all had the fish special (Ono) which was dry.
We had been to Sarento’s in last year and we did not enjoy our visit. The food and service was lacking. Our visit this time was wonderful. The service was great. The food was great. They even arranged the whales to preform. We will be back. Good job
Amazing meal. Great service. Excellent food. Very flexible. Highly recommended.
Lovely view with good service. The quality of entrees and appetizers was poor. I won’t be going back!
Ewe did have to wait a while to get service. Was told they where busy and there was a mix up on who had the table. View was excellent, food was also very good but one plate didn’t get delivered until we reminded them. Much different service than what we had on Saturday night.
LOVE this restaurant. Always attentive; the food is outstanding; the ocean view is amazing!! I’m glad I made our reservations weeks before our trip to insure that we would get in.
8 of us went to Sorentos for a special evening. Boy were we disappointed! It took a long time to get a beverage, the soda in drinks was bad (they did replace), the food was mediocre but expensive, the wait staff were not very friendly. The capper was: a photographer took a picture of all. They soon came back, want I g to sell at $20 each. We said we'd buy 4 for $50...no. 20 each. What?? Salesmanship 101!! Oh...the octopus was too tough to cut with a knife. We loved this restaurant on our visit 4 years ago. What hapoened???
Wonderful place for Mai Tai and watch the sun set. Love the open air restaurant. Destination for more tourists than locals.
Service was sub standard. Some food came out with meat being very rare when it was ordered medium. Our favorite Maui restaurant is now just ok
As long time fans of Sarentos we looked forward to our annual special time at our favorite Maui restaurant. Sadly the service was fair ((problems with processing our check, hurried explanations of the specials, and not the same detail to service during the meal...I.e., a messy table). Likewise, the food was just fair (meatballs on the spaghetti tasted like dry meatloaf, my mixed seafood grill was small in portion and barely warm, and the house Pinot over-priced). We were very disappointed and unfortunately will be looking for a new Maui favorite. We are sad.
Loved the brunch! Parked in front at 11AM on Friday for Valentines Day. Seated at beach front seat ASAP requested they reservation with Open Table the day before. Waiter came and took drink order telling us special 2as Blue Marlin and we ordered it with Benedict and I an order of crepes. Two Mimosas and ice water came quickly. It got busy quickly and took a short while after ordering tab and empty plates were quickly taken away. The Manager came to talk to us towards end of meal. He was out front on bar and the Hostess was lovely and helpful with all my newbie questions. Will go again for brunch with reservation and I did make sure to wear a coverup over my sleeveless sundress. Wore flip flops. Hubby was in shorts, tee with Hawaiian Shirt and Keens Sandles. No comments from staff. Will go for Happy Hour once to try out from front bar as the front is glasses off so you can see beach but it’s not open air so it might get stuffy. We will see.
While we arrived early for our reservation, we had to wait 15 minutes past our reservation time before being seated, yet at least 10 other parties were seated. Therefore I would give the hostess a rating of 1. Fortunately our waiter saved the evening. He was everything you want your waiter to be. Excellent service once seated.
The reception at the door was anything but inviting. She hardly acknowledged us. Not like it was that busy either.
we have been coming to Sarento's for 11 years and it's always been one of our favorites! Great cuisine and a beautiful view.
Each time we have visited Maui during the past 10 years, we have visited Sarento’s. In the past, the food, service and atmosphere was always stunning and on point. It was a place where sophisticated diners could enjoy a memorable evening. We visited 2/6/20 and were terribly disappointed. This restaurant is an imposter of what it used to be. Our waiter annoyingly mumbled the specials and was not very attentive. We were served a mojito that was prepared with rotting mint. The caprese salad was a joke, consisting of cherry tomatoes and tiny, ordinary grocery store mozzarella balls. Gone are the white table cloths. The mirrors in the dining room were badly in need of cleaning, the furniture extremely tired. To say that we were disappointed is an understatement. We wish someone had written this honest review before we made our reservation. It would have saved one of our precious vacation evenings from being wasted.
Sunset dinner for 4. Complimentary valet parking. Exception cocktails. Service was fantastic. Right on the water. Overall great experience.
Not very happy as we’ve dined here before. The waiter seemed distracted and our food was not nearly as hot as it should have been. My husband
The wine list was in an unkept tablet which was inelegant and very difficult for four people to share. Many wines were not known by us, and they were not described.
All wne choices were expensive.
We also missed the white table cloths.
Such a great beachside location, but the service was lacking. Friendly, but extremely slow. Cocktail glasses were never cleared from the table and water was not refilled. The food was good but the menu needs updating.
Overall very good. Menu is limited should have a few pasta.
Very pleasant receptionist Ellie
The waiter Jack was overbearing and zoned out, could not hear anything I said, he just charged forward with what his memorized speech is
The food was heavy and did not taste fresh or lively
Red wine came in a chilled glass!
