The wait staff was very attentive
Wonderful. Staff was friendly and efficient. Food was fabulous. We couldn't have asked for a nice meal.
Pre theater lunch. Delicious meal.
Friendly, responsive, good food, great service!
Great experience before theater. Service was excellent and our dinners were prepared perfectly. Will return to Sardi’s!
Very good across the board pre theatre dinner on Saturday night. Thanks waiter Mike for a great job !
One of our favorite places in NYC! Love the staff and the regulars that frequent the upstairs bar.
We've been to Sardi's many, many times over the years and have never been disappointed. It is right smack in the heart of the Theater District which is great. Especially for us yesterday when the weather was hideous but the theater that we were going to was just across the street. We needed to kill a little bit of time and were not pressured at all to give up our table. The food is wonderful; the waiters are supreme professionals and the ambiance is perfectly New York with all the caricatures of politicians, actors and actresses, etc. I love it and wholeheartedly recommend Sardi's to anyone.
Sardis was too bright for dining.
Wonderful place to have a pre-theater lunch or dinner. Great atmosphere and service. Love the cannelloni, Caesar salad and the classic cocktails.
Great spot to eat before broadway show. Recommended
Our waiter was very nice and the food (Salmon and Chicken Club) were excellent! A very enjoyable experience!
Food service and atmosphere were excellent
Meh. Service was fine. Food was boring. Won’t return.
Nice restaurant with good food and service right in the theatre district.
The best place to eat before the show, don't miss it
An institution! If you are going to New York, go to Sardi's.
NY Strip steak was awful
The food was good and it came out nice and hot the wait staff there is extremely good at what they do but it’s an old restaurant that’s never been updated and it’s just a large room to eat in others in the pictures on the wall which are great there’s really not much to this place
Great night out with out of town visitors....pre-show dinner without a hitch.
Wonderful , consistent, nostalgic atmosphere. One of the restaurants in NY that has changed the least over the 30 years that I have dined there. I often have their steak tartare which is fabulous! On the last two visits my dining partners found their choices only mediocre. One had a shrimp salad and the other a vegetarian dish. Stick to the classics here...also true of the bar... had an excellent martini.
My dining experience was supeb. The cuisine, wait staff, wine selection was top shelf. I would make this a definate stop on my next visit to NYC.
Great service, fun atmosphere! Need better wine by the glass
Ordered the strip steak- medium rare. Steak came medium/medium well so I sent it back. The 2nd attempt the steak was raw- not rare- raw. The third attempt which was the 2nd steak which had been cut in half and it was more rare than medium- rare but I ate it. The waiter apologized- no manager, no offer to buy desert or a drink...really didn't seemed concerned with customer satisfaction.
Everything was wonderful. Great ambience, delicious food and excellent service!! I’m coming again!
Wonderful experience. Attentive staff, friendly and accommodating.
Great after a show
Sardi’s was a favorite of mine in the 1980s when I visited New York often for work and took in as much theater as possible. What a thrill to bring my 10-year-old granddaughter for supper before her first Broadway show, Phantom of the Opera! She recognized many of the famous faces, loved the food, and appreciated the classic elegance. Such a lovely experience for both of us!
Wait staff excellent, salmon was delicious and best Cannoli we've ever had!
After seveal visits recently for a pre-show..we were again impressed with efficiency and consistenrlt good menu choices and attentive staff...Sardi's is a must for every visit to Manhattan
Wonderful ! We had an early reservation before a show and we were not rushed but easily made it to the theatre
We went this past Thursday night to eat there, given it's history. The food was just okay, definitely not worth the price. And what was off-putting was the service. My kids and I were dressed somewhat casually, like about half the people in there. Not t-shirts, but not suits either. The waitstaff basically acted like we were wasting their time, even though we all ordered complete meals. My recommendation is to walk in, see the place, and go eat somewhere else.
Our dinner at Sardis began with a selection of warm breads served by a friendly and courteous waiter. We enjoyed the sea scallops that were enhanced by two colorful sauces, along with a pea pod and green bean combination of vegetables. This restaurant has not changed in the 15 years I have been dining here; service is quick and efficient and the red walls are decorated with portraits of famous singers and celebrities. A great choice for a special occasion, directly across the street from the Schubert Theatre.
We were not disappointed, and finished off our dinners with tasty raspberry ice cream cake and NY cheesecake.
Great service and a fun old NYC experience. My daughter and I enjoyed this slice of New York history. The food was solid, and served with friendly and efficient service in this iconic dining room
We came to NYC with friends for a big birthday celebration and went to see a Broadway play. Sardi's was a must not only because of proximity to the theaters but because it is history. We had a great time and loved it!
Ate here before seeing a show. The food is delicious. Wait staff very attentive and courteous. Will definitely come again.
How delightful to once again be at Sardi's! It is one of our favorite places when in the city. The food is never a disappointment and the service is always top notch. The ambiance is fun and welcoming and one never knows who they may see. Thank you.
Service is great at this famous location. Food is much more midwestern than refined NY and the eclectic menu distracts from the cooking wins that a more targeted repertoire might have achieved. Club sandwich is a good price point and the tastiest thing on the menu.
Touristy, but fun. Don’t come for the food, though.
I had the scallops. All but one had sand in every bite. I got the cookies and some icee cream for dessert. The cookies were just ok, but the ice cream was excellent.
The service was wonderful! Only issue was uncomfortable chairs.
