Fair service. I ordered burger med well and husband ordered med rare. Asked if mine was the med we’ll Nd waiter said yes. It was rare and my husband got the med well. I was almost finished with mine when he finally got his bd side his side was wrong. Very overpriced. Very touristy. Not what Sardi’s used to be.
Lovely lunch with my Daughter before attending Jagged Little Pill
Moms 70th early Birthday celebration
Have used Sardi’s for years as our office used to be above it.
Thoroughly enjoyed our pre show experience.
The staff couldn't have been lovelier. We had a great corner table and it wasn't yet busy but they were so accommodating. We had the chicken parm...which was done to perfection, the green beans were warm and crispy, the spinach canneloni was terrific. I appreciated the service and the mood. Didn't feel rushed. The food was yummy and it was a quintessential NYC experience. Well done.
Although everything was very good, I would have had another cocktail had I been asked. Also, they got my after dinner drink wrong. On whole however, it was a very positive experience.
The service was outstanding. We felt the menu selection was limited and the prices were high for what we received.
Close to Times Square, large restaurant, good food. Very convenient and relaxing.
Come on, it’s Sardi’s. A trip to the Great White Way isn’t complete without stopping at the long-standing institution. They know you are going to a show are are time conscious with their service. Make reservations.
Great meals and drinks. So convenient to theaters!
Service has improved from the days when the waiters REALLY didnt want to look after anyone who was not a celebrity. Very convenient location pre theater, though decor is now dated. Food so-so.
Had lunch before seeing a play and the whole experience was a delight. Thanks for a lovely day!
There's nothing like it! If those caricatured walls could talk. A great theatre-going tradition that continues with the Sardi family. Definitely recommend for lunch or dinner.
The service was perfect but the food was pretty awful. Even for the “experience” it wasn’t worth it. There was no experience. It’s hard to mess up a chopped salad but it was watery and flavorless. The crepe was ok. The sampler/mezza plate was my daughter’s meal and the melon was hard, it came without the meat, the shrimp was bad and the olives were no better than out of the jar. We left and got slices of pizza, which we should have done in the first place.
Convenient location, must-have NYC experience. Host and bartenders were very nice and very professional. Server and food were mediocre.
A delight as usual. Favorite place for late post theatre dinner and drinks. Great martinis and steak tartar
The food and service were both outstanding and we will be back!
Fun dinner before a show. Great food and the atmosphere is fun.
Simply excellent as usual. Won't have steak tartare anywhere else!
Had a drink in the upstairs bar where the bartender didn’t bother to wipe the counter where we sat.
Then moved to the nearly empty restaurant and we were ignored! A group of waiters in the corner clearly
moreninterested in chatting than looking after us. We left after 20 minutes of being ignored.
Great dinner before 8pm curtain!
I have dined at Sardi’s many times! The food , service and ambiance is excellent!
Good food but nothing exceptional. You go for the show and history that is it.
Over all a lovely experience. Note- the Appetizer for 2 was not worth the value and poor presentation. Should be a lower price and there was very little prosciutto. We had too many cheese dishes and waiter should have guided us on that part offering other suggestions. The signature strawberry cake dessert was very strange and should have returned it. Still trying to think where the meringue was. Everything tased the same. Disappointed.
Best part was our friendly and attentive waiter.
It was a great experience. Loved our waiter. Food was delicious
Over priced, mediocre food, the chicken vegetable soup I had was absolutely terrible! The cream for the coffee was sour and curdled when poured. Good location for the theater district, but there are much better choices in the area. The waitress and service were good.
My wife and I took our five-year-old daughter to go see a play next door. My biggest complaint was that although they had children’s “options”, they served processed chicken fingers for $20
Everything was delicious. Only problem was getting our check. Disappeared for 25 minutes.
We took our friends (their 1st trip to NY) before our show on Sat. Sardi’s still has it all....just sets the tone and starts the evening off with loads of good vibes. Some things just get better with age. Sardi’s did not disappoint!
Seated right away with reservation. Service was terribly slow and it was not particularly busy (but every server was gracious whenever we could get one). Food was fine. Dessert was fine. Paying up for the name/location. Was definitely convenient for watching a 2 part show but not nearly worth the money spent.
Wonderful meal! Hot is our in time for the theater matinee. Wonderful lunch special menu!
Good service and consistently good food. The cocktails are very good, also. I’ve had just about everything on the menu, and always very pleased. Perfect for pretheatre because they make sure you get out in time without rushing you. I had the filet mignon and a lemon drop martinis with a cappuccino for dessert. All was great. It’s so much fun identifying the caricatures. One of my all time faves. I’ve been a diner at Sardi’s for 54 years!
Fantastic food and such a special place! Loved the Broadway caricatures surrounding you as you dine. Made for such a memorable experience!!
Great food, easy to get in and out if you are seeing a show
Went to see a Broadway show and decided to have dinner here prior to show starting. Our waitress was great and food and wine were excellent. Definitely have to have the crab cakes as an appetizer.
Wonderful! Perfect dining after a Broadway matinee.
Everything was top notch, drinks & dinner !
Will be our “go to” place in the city!
Great time as always, but the servers were rushing so much they spilled drinks at our table constantly...red wine, water and cocktails...I love you guys, but please slow down just a touch...nobody wanted to eat at a wet table with wet menus.
A Bucket list restaurant in the theater district
Just tell the waiter where and when your show is,and they will make sure your meals arrive without you rushing through dinner.
We were very excited to dine at Sardi’s being we are huge MadMen fans. Overall, it was a nice place, but the staff didn’t seem to communicate much between each other. The food was wonderful though and I can see why it’s such an after-theatre tradition.
