Though having to sit outdoors in a tent is the sad state of affairs in California. We still had an excellent meal with fantastic service. Hope they let you back into your own building soon.

We ordered the lobster special and it was a good value and tasty and the presentation was terrific. The lobster was bigger than expected but although tasty, it was more chewy and tougher than we’ve experienced in the past. The rest of the plate was as good as ever. The drinks were excellent too.
With the pandemic, we dined outside in a tent, with heaters, flowers and Frank Sinatra serenading us. It was sweet. The staff were amazing and the food and wine list was even better. This is a special place. We always come back for more and we're locals.
This restaurant is a part of the old Italian heritage of Monterey. It's been around forever and is run by two Monterey icons who are world renowned restaurateurs.

Wonderful food. I had the lobster tail and my husband had the diver scallops. The abalone bisque was tasty and creamy, although the abalone was a little rubbery.
The service was great and we had a wonderful evening, forgetting for a little while that we were under a tent in the parking lot
Even though we were early for our reservation they seated us immediately. Service was very good and the wine expert was knowledgeable and friendly. We had the Chilled Seafood Indulgence for two for dinner and it was fresh and tasty. Mango sorbet for desert hit the spot. This is one of the best restaurants we've gone to in Monterey.
This was a birthday celebration for my husband. They have created a nice pavilion and our
Waiter, Orlando, was excellent. My husband enjoyed his filet with stuffed prawns but my daughter did not enjoy her escargot due to the hollandaise sauce. This restaurant serves a sauce on almost everything, and I would suggest asking for it on the side. I had the impossible burger, and the fries were the best I’ve had in years. I always feel the meals here are a bit overpriced, as dinner for 4 was almost $300.
Nice outdoor seating setup for social distancing. Delicious from appetizer to dessert. Recommend the Chesapeake crab cake and a mojito to start!
Excellent outdoor tent that felt like being in the restaurant - maybe even better. Food and service were excellent from cocktails to dessert - an all around great experience.
Absolutely a must ! If ever in Monterey this is a must spot for Wonderful Cuisine. Absolutely perfect evening.

Visited Monterey for the long weekend. Always go to the Sardine factory and never been disappointed. The way they setup the outdoor dining was better than I have seen anywhere. Nice tents, lights, heaters, chandeliers. Was a great experience. Food excellent as usual. We can’t wait until the music comes back
Second time here and it was absolutely amazing! They adapted it for COVID and very glad I got to go again. Lobster ravioli is a must!
We revisited the beloved Sardine Factory and we were both disappointed that the splendor we remembered is gone. COVID has claimed another soul - we were so saddened by the lack of atmosphere, though they definitely tried to make the best of the environment. The food was lacking in the love and luster of yesterday’s , the staff was terrific. We don’t know if we will take the challenge to dine there again, but wish them all the very best.
We ordered the surf & turf and sea bass. Both were phenomenal!! The owner Mr. Cutino personally greets all the guests at their table & asks if everything is satisfactory, which is a really nice touch. He even sent out the iced swan dessert to our table because we mentioned that it was our anniversary. Truly such a sweet gesture!! Talking with him about how he met his wife & started the restaurant like 50 years ago made our dinner even more memorable!! We will definitely go back when we return to Monterey. Thank you to all the staff & servers who were also wonderful & made our anniversary dinner so special!!!
