   We went to celebrate our anniversary. From the moment we walked in, we were treated so nicely! The waiter, Diego, was professional, funny and very knowledgeable. Our Sommelier, Dave was very informative and suggested the perfect wine for us. A wonderful and delicious experience! Highly recommend.

   This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Monterey. The service, food, and wine list are phenomenal. If the bartender tells you that you have a call from Evelyn Draper, though, don't take it ;-)

   First time at Sardine factory while on vacation. Neat ambience with a lot of history… Definitely like the darker room in the front as opposed to the lighter observatory in the back. Food was excellent as well as the service! Enjoyed it!

   Late Mother's Day celebration with mom. A tiny bit of a challenge to navigate a wheelchair around parking lot towards handicap entrance but the OUTSTANDING service and EXCELLENT food more than made up for a couple of bumps : )

   First time at the Sardine Factory. The staff is very friendly and well trained. The food and wine prices are somewhat inflated and realize that this is a tourist destination and we are tourists. The food was mediocre at best.

    Excellent food, great service. The menu isn't large, what they do is beautifully done both in terms of the food prep as well as the presentation. If you like a great wine list, this is one you'll love. Wine steward was quite knowledgeable and personable as well. Service throughout is very good, professional.

    We've eaten at Sardine Factory several times over the past 35 years. Our dinner was fantastic as always along with great service. Really enjoyed the gentleman that played the piano.

    The food was cold when placed on the table for a special occasion we wanted to enjoy something special. What we enjoyed the bottle of wine which we brought and the company of family. For the price I won't be eating their again

    We had the three-course, Prix Fixe Mother's Day menu. Between us, we had the salad, soup (lobster potato leek) and prosciutto appetizers (amazing), the salmon special and the filet mignon entrées, and the crème brûlée and chocolate mousse cake desserts. and Everything was very tasty and beautifully plated. The Strawberry Lemon Drop was a cocktail special, but if you see it on the regular menu, go for it - it's great! We sat in the beautiful gazebo. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, despite the Mother's Day crush.

    I never write reviews but the experience was absolutely wonderful. Food was amazing, service was just as good if not better. We had 2 toddlers with us and our server was so mindful of them, timed their food perfectly and certainly reduced the amount of anxiety we normally have when we eat our with the kids. Cannot speak highly enough about our experience.

    Fantastic restaurant in Monterey, full of history! Top notch service (special thanks to our waiter Brandon!) in a beautiful setting with live music. We loved our dishes (we had the ahi seared in sesame tuna, best ever; the calamar steak over risotto with seafood - delicious; and the pork steak waygu style, also very good!). The wine list is impressive and the sommelier recommended great wines for our menu. The staff was also very kind to our 8 yo son, which is always very appreciable. This was clearly one of our best restaurants while in California for our holidays! Thank you!

    The waiter was robotic and humorless. They g Had a specisorbet he neglected to mention and we were very upset when we saw other tables getting it. We had to ask to remove used glasses and plates. Not a very fun evening

    Staff was very accommodating being I had a mobility Scooter & had me enter through a side entrance..Food was excellent and wine with our meal was too.

    The Sardine Factory is a staple of Monterey and Cannery Tow but that comes at a cost, literally. The value does not match the service and atmosphere. Cobwebs and body odor don’t portray a business I want to drop $400 on four people.
