We visited Saranello's for our department holiday luncheon. We are a small group of four, and around us were larger groups who I suppose were having a similar celebration. Let me say right off the bat that everyone enjoyed their food. The problem with this visit was the service. Our server was ultra-friendly and bubbly, but she seemed very disorganized. She took our drink order, and one of my colleagues requested balsamic vinegar to go with the bread. She returned with the drinks, but no vinegar. We requested it again---she promised to bring it back right away. And it only came after we reminded her about 10 minutes later. This pattern followed several more times when we asked for more bread, drink refills, the bill, etc. On the bill, we were provided an empty folder without a bill. The consequence of this was that what could have been a very pleasant visit turned into a mess of irritating waits. It might have just been the busy day, so we would try again; but I hope this good restaurant can step up their game.

The food was great. The only problem was it took a long time to get our first course, evidently for to a large party. The waiter didn't tell us about this until he delivered the food

Nice ambiance, friendly but hurried staff. Food across the board was great. We went with the family style menu for 4 which affords many options and good selection. Portions delivered to table were very small but you can have as much of everything as you want.

The service was poor! The main course came before we were able to finish a shared salad. The ceasar salad and the dessert was good! The entrees were very disappointing . I ordered the spinach gnocchi with chicken sausage and it was VERY spicy and salty! We felt very rushed-salad and entrees were done in 25 minutes!
Will not go back

My wife and I had a delicious meal before going to the theater. The service was excellent and attentive. We really enjoyed our meal and the experience of eating at Saranello's.

Food is good. Pre-theater menu is awesome. Dinner came while still eating our salads. That needs to be worked on. Took a long time to get our check. Overall, a good evening.

The food was so delicious. We started with Minestrone soup, a wonderful Caesar’s Salad, Rigatoni with broccoli and sausage and Chicken parmigiana with pasta. The food was just perfect. We always have a good time at Saranello’s.

The service was excellent. The server was friendly and responsive. However, the salmon was undercooked and had to be sent back, which took a while surprisingly. When the salmon was returned, it was the same salmon just heated up and they put it on a bed of spinach, which I had originally told the server I could not eat so I had a different vegetable on the side instead so the salmon pieces were then reheated and brought on a bed of a food I can’t eat and tasted like spinach. Very disappointing when the bill was $80 for 2 Kids and me and did
Not include alcohol or dessert. I would have expected better.

Food was very good, as always, but the service on our last visit was excruciatingly slow and unattentive. We were among the first few lunch customers at our reservation time of 11:30am, so I wonder why everything took unusually long, so much so that we had to request our desserts to just be boxed instead - at around 1pm. At an hour and half for lunch, definitely not an ideal place for a business meal.

Our meal was delicious, the server is what made the experience over the top. It’s still one of my favorite local restaurants.

It was busier than normal and there was a line out the door when we got in. Despite the huge rush, they were understaffed and another server took care of us because we never found our original assigned server. The food is always amazing but you may want to avoid Saturday nights in December.

The service starts out well in the early evening but tends to slow down later in the evening. This was Saturday evening and the restaurant was full by the time we left at 6:30.

Our waiter Dino was not very friendly and we felt rushed. We were not done with our salads and dinner came. Restaurant was so dark we had trouble reading the menu. Food was excellent as always but service poor.
Plus we forgot to give our reward card so I’m in the process of trying to get my points credited. Our bill was $73.99 pre tip and our act. # 1028640

Saranello has been a high quality spot for excellent Italian food for years. The food is consistently good and that goes for all items on the menu. Good service and nice environment add to the quality of the experience. In an area of the metro area that has numerous good choices for Italian this is in the top tier (not Francesco’s Hole in the Wall good).

Saranello’s. Absolutely one of the best restaurants in America. I just returned from the west coast of Florida and I enjoyed some great food. Sea Scallops, Grouper, Crab, Fresh Oysters and some great wines. Saranello’s is better. Think about it. I have the best service of any restaurant At Saranello’s from Jake, David and Brittney. Tonight Brittney was, as always, Outstanding. I tell her to match the wines with the meals. Incredible pairing. White wines with Octopus and Squid Salad, a wonderful Pinot with the best Pork chop with pomegranate Apple side. The Saranello’s Pork Chop is so juicy with a crust that will make you simply say...ohhhh, so good. The Pinot Brittney picked was perfect. I can only say the pasta is homemade and excellent. Brittney made a special ice cream dessert for us with fresh fruit. Outstanding! Another wonderful dining experience. I like to enjoy my dining experience slowly. It’s so romantic. Thank you Saranello’s.

Saranello's has one of the best Sunday brunches in the burbs! For only $35, you'll get a fantastic buffet and bottomless mimosas. I've also gotten catering from Saranello's and they always have delicious, quality food.

Met out of town friends. There were 6 of us. We ordered salads and main course. Waiting, waiting, waiting for our food. Waiter not to be seen. Suddenly they're serving our entrees and there were no salads. Oops, they'd missed them around the corner (really for 30 minutes?). "Do you want us to wrap them up to take home?" Uh, I think not! The salad charges were removed and we did get free dessert.

This wouldn't be a BIG deal, except this is our third time there with similar poor service. Not going back.

Server was rushing us to order when we wanted to enjoy our wine and wait until our appetizer arrived. She also never acknowledged it was a birthday celebration even though it was noted on the ticket. She also was annoyed when we didn’t order the bottle of wine she recommended.

The service was not so good, our calamari appetizer was an embarrassment. The server proceeded to let us know the Chef was having a bad night, he would buy us another one. We were insulted by this comment as anyone could look at it and see the portion was ridiculous. He brought us another appetizer, and when we were finished eating, brought us a third.

Something was off at the restaurant.

This was a very disappointing meal. The food was mediocre at best (after finding out more than an hour after we sat down that they were out of what 2 of the 4 of us had ordered-- eggplant parm. We were surprised-- not sure I have ever been to an Italian restaurant that ran out of eggpalnt parm.) Service was SLOW and spotty. Well meaning, but was not a well paced meal. Won't be back. Don't think this is a restaurant one goes to for a well prepared meal-- it is more of a big box restaurant.

Love this place- made a reservation for a Saturday night - 5 days prior - requested a booth near the bar. The four of us were celebrating a wedding anniversary and a birthday .We arrived on time and waited at least 20 minutes before we were told our table would not be ready. We asked if there were any other booths available. No dice- we said we would wait and have cocktail at the bar. Took the bartender 15 minutes to acknowledge us. We asked for a wine menu. He never came by to take our order and by that time the maitre d' found us a table. Although the food was delicious I will not chance this place again for a special occasion. Disappointing.
