Feel the energy while dining in a casual and rustic 6700-square-foot setting. Dine at natural reclaimed wood tables with seating for 175, surrounded by inviting darker woods, exposed brick and beams, subtle filament lighting, and accented with muted chocolate and caramel tones throughout.
I always have a great meal at Saranellos!
Service and food (every bite of dinner and breakfast!!) was delicious!!!!!!!
We always have a great meal and great experience dinning here.
The food was absolutely amazing tasting. The meatball in my spaghetti was tender and full of flavor. The noodles were also really good and were clearly made in-house. I will go back and order the lamb meatball spaghetti next time to mix it up a little.
My partner got the potato gnocchi and it had a great flavor to it, it was cooked to perfection. The only complaints either of us had was that her meal portion seemed to be noticeably less than mine was. The beer selection was also less than stellar, to a point that I opted for a soda instead. With that said, I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a good american take on Italian food.
Love the happy hour early bird dinner.
Was there for dinner. Appreciated them doing substitutes for me.
We dined on a very slow evening.
Mushroom appetizer was served room temperature.
Roast chicken was served a little warm (not properly warm) and "dry"
The meat pasta Wed eve special was plain and taste less. At least it was served warm.
Overall entirely unacceptable meal (except for very attentive server).
Let me first start with the fact that we LOVE Saranello's. My husband & I have been many times. I can't get enough of your fresh pasta. We brought my mother in law last week as it was her birthday & dinner was part of her present from us.
We were seated right away & greeted by a waiter (still not sure if we had a designated one, but if you still do that i believe it was him) He presented the specials & then left. It took a while to get him back. We did not get the usual bread & oil right away which was fine, but if you were going to change your policy with what is going on in the world right now but if you are going to change your policies, you should notify your customers.
We finally got the waiter again & ordered. & still... no bread & no mention there wasn't any planning on getting dropped.
After waiting a bit & my mother in law complaining about her hunger levels i sought out our waiter & asked if they weren't doing bread anymore. He explained that due to Covid-19, you've suspended it. Why could he not have mentioned that when he sat us. Surly it could have boosted his tips because maybe we would have then ordered an app. but no. He said he could bring some to us if we wanted it though???
That put a bad taste in my mouth because if you were really concerned for your customers/employee's you wouldn't still be putting water glasses (rim side down) on the table or have free reign salt & pepper shakers for anyone to touch. It just seemed like the restaurant was cheeping out.
Once our food arrived our waiter was once again no where to be found. I know we arrived later & we were maybe the only group in his section, but we had to flag down everyone but him in order to get water, bread & drink refills.
It was embarrassing to both me and my husband because the service was so bad & we've always told out MIL how great this place was.
I'm still not sure where our waiter was the whole time & it made us feel extremely unimportant. Not your guys best performance.
We always love Saranello's. We hosted our Baptism party, attended the New Year Eve party and dinners frequently. Every time the host accommodate our requests the best they could. The food and services are excellent.
Our friends had a wonderful time!
Patty is the best server anywhere
Always a great choice!
The food was delicious - well-prepared and presented. Damon's service was exemplary - attentive, enthusiastic, helpful with recommendations. He made us feel like the most important customers in the restaurant.
Our server was great and food was delicious. We tried this venue again after our first experience was not a good one and glad we came back. We're disappointed with our reservation that we had to be seated near the bar and banquet area.
Great dinner. Service was good and the food was excellent.
Great food and fantastic service
Had the best time for my mother’s 92nd birthday! We were placed in a back area that was absolutely perfect for our group. My mother is very hard of hearing so this table was more than we could ever ask for. Our server for this dinner was so wonderful! He was very attentive and brought such a positive energy to our night. Such a great night and we will definitely be back!
I have been there a few times and it was ok.
Bar room service is fantastic.
If you’re in dining room all bets are off.
Food is always going to be good here. Scallops were done to perfection. Down side is the bar seemed way understaffed so the drink orders were very slow in coming out. If you do not do valet, then parking is a bit of a bother, you end up walking a bit of a way.
David was our server ave he is the best! Great service and great food.
Waiter brought us the wrong salad and by the time we could get his attention the food came. Also he poured wAter into my husband’s drink. He did get him another drink. He did offer to bring us the other salad but by then our dinner was there so we ate our dinner. Normally we eat only half our food but with no salad we ate all our food.
Our group of 6 enjoyed a lovely birthday dinner of lasagna & spaghetti & meatballs. Our food was delicious & the service impeccable. Unfortunately the noise level was way too loud - we couldn’t hear the people across the table.
I had fish which was okay. May be better to stick with Southern Italian there.
Food was great , service was the best. Nancy went out of her way to get us out in time for our curtain time at The Marriott.
BUT.....It might be time to redo the menus. The plastic is old and cracked in many places. My wife even cut the top of her hand and one of the sharp corners. You have a first class operation and it should have decent menus.
my food was slightly warm at best..didnt have time (during my lunch hour) to re-order or wait for kitchen to ReDo it.
A consistent winner on "restaurant row" in Wheeling. Great menu and outstanding service. Sunday brunch is a wonderful treat.
This is my favorite place for Italian food! Service is great too!
As usual wonderful staff great service and food. Can’t say enough about this. Resturant that’s why my brother and I go there weekly.
The service was awesome very attentive waitress. The food was so tasty.
All I'm going to say is that It's hard to believe that this is a Lettuce Entertain You Restaurant. The service was just horrible.
Love the early dinner options
Great service. Good food. Overall very enjoyable dining experience to look forward to. Will definitely return
We sat in a booth right next to the kitchen. Overall, it’s a loud place when the restaurant is full, so we were constantly repeating ourselves when asking the staff for something, (water, wine, etc). The food was good. I loved the sausage! I was told they made it in house...yum! The server seemed to have an “I don’t care” kind of attitude. I saw her sleeve touch another tables food, and her fingers were all over our plates when dropping them off. I would go back, but would probably like another server.
The kitchen seemed overwhelmed by the extra crowd due to a function at the hotel next door.
Waiting time to be seated with the reservation was more than 15 minutes
JD was outstanding!
Eggplant is excellent!
Wonderful evening at one of our favorite restaurants! We will be back very soon.
We had a good Sunday brunch at Saranello's. Our table was in an awkward area near the bar but foot traffic around us was moderate. Food selection was excellent. No wait at meat carving and omelet station. The coffee blend was excellent.
Been for dinner many times always nice. This time we went for the brunch. It was delicious and an excellent value.
They crowd ALOT of tables in for brunch. Very tight
