Brunch on a snowy day !!!
There was nothing that I didn’t love about this meal. Food was delicious. Service was impeccable. Two enthusiastic thumbs up.
I was a little disappointed with my meal. I ordered the Goldie Lox and it looked like a mish mash of scrambled eggs, salmon, and creme cheese. The presentation was not pretty. Reminded me of a "diner meal". They can also upgrade their coffee beans. Mine tasted sour and bitter. My daughter ordered french toast and that was ok. I was excited to have brunch at Sarabeth but unfortunately a disappontment.
I took our family to Sarabeth's for my wife's birthday. It was a late Saturday brunch and the place was pretty noisy. They were very accommodating and gave us a corner booth -- my mother-in-law is hearing impaired and the corner booth allowed her to hear a little more clearly. The food was OK...a little over-priced. But, it's TriBeCa, so...
The service was very attentive and cordial.
D.L. Hughley sat next to us, so I guess I can say I kinda had brunch with him. :)
Really good food just really expensive for what it was. We didn't expect to spend so much for brunch.
Not good at all bread extremely cold. And sat us near the kitchen where there was too much traffic meanwhile there restaurant was empty.
Adorable ambiance. Very quiet and not too crowded for a lunch. We loved it!
Perfect place to bring my mom on her visit!
Great brunch. Very friendly and attentive staff. Family friendly.
Great breakfast offering and atmosphere - Loved it!!
We were visiting the city and excited to try out Sarabeth's for brunch. While the menu looked creative with abundant offerings, my husband's English muffin on the "Popeye Eggs" was under toasted and bland. A huge fan of eggs and smoked salmon, I ordered the "Goldie Lox" and was surprised to receive a scramble with cream cheese--not what I was expecting, although it was pretty tasty. Perhaps include a bit more description on how the dish is created? My daughter ordered the "Apple-Cinnamon French Toast" and really enjoyed it, while my son ordered the pancakes off of the children's menu; the helpful addition of chocolate chips made him one happy diner! Thank you for that!
The only real negative in our experience was the coffee, which was tepid and a bit dated and served in a Lilliputian-sized serving. Unless you're doing a press for the diner/table, I would recommend increasing your cup size to accommodate those of us who like their coffee fresh, hot, and plentiful. Otherwise, really enjoyed the visit and look forward to trying out your other menus.
Low quality food and ambiance, hostess aggressively dismissive, rest of the service staff super helpful. They do try to push you out as quick as they can.
Our server didn't seem to be overly friendly or even really friendly. I don't need you to be my best friend, but friendly is helpful. That being said, the food was delicious and can't wait to go back there for the food.
No line, hostess was very friendly, and service was superb!
The server brought me the wrong dish and quickly left before I could say anything. I couldn’t get anyone’s attention to let them know that they had delivered the wrong dish. When someone finally walked past my table I alerted him to the error and he said that he would let my waiter know. He left the dish sitting in front of me and did not take it back. Seven minutes later the waiter finally arrived at my table and I informed him that the server had brought the wrong dish. No one had ever let him know. He took away that meal and my correct meal was delivered awhile later.
We go back despite the noise and the unfolded strollers almost blocking egress because the food and drink are dependable and delicious. I am usually tempted to randomly yell out, in the most kind way, "you will long for these days, young parents, when your child is a teen and comes home with a terrible boyfriend/girlfriend". What is stopping me? Fear of ejection.
The spinach & goat cheese omelette is amazing! Banana muffin is delicious too! It’s a regular when I travel to NYC.
Pumpkin waffle was AMAZING!
Sarabeth’s is a great place for breakfast, stay way for lunch though, that said, the food is really good but the service is weak, I’ve ordered pancakes and omelete, after 30 minutes the omelete wasn’t ready, when I asked the waiter where it was he just told me: you haven’t order any of it. I gave to him a second chance asking Popeye Omelet AGAIN, a dish which suppose to come with ham, more 10 minutes and then the omelete arrives, WITH NO HAM, anyways, the food is good, place nice, service weak.
My dining companions loved their choices -- crab cakes, smoked salmon pizza, guacamole with homemade chips. I liked my lobster roll less, because it had very little taste, but I probably shouldn't have ordered lobster in the winter. Fries are excellent, as are chips. Banana split dessert was delicious.
Great service!! Very good food. Awesome Happy Hour!!
my go-to for weekend brunch with or without kids. i noted it was my husband's birthday and they brought out a slice of cake with candle (we didn't even order dessert). it's those small touches that go a long way.
Very noisy. Service slow . Ordered eggs Benedict and they forgot the sauce then when it came out everything was cold. Waited a long time for coffee and very loud restaurant .
Was looking for brunch places in NYC and this exceeded our expectations. Delicious food and great service!
The service was awful. Food cold. Omelet hard when I asked for soft. Promised hollandaise to heat up eggs Benedict but it never came. Didn’t have to pay the bill because of the terrible experience but I would have gladly paid as I came a far distance for the brunch. Have been going to Sarabeth’s for 40 years. East 90’s, west side, CPS. Very disappointed.
Food was relatively good and service was fine. Noise level was off the charts due to a very loud & rowdy party. In addition the tables in our section were just too close together. Probably a decent lunch spot, but not ideal for a quiet Valentines Day dinner.
Sarabeth's is a neighborhood stalwart with a great happy hour, solid, family-friendly brunch and dinner menus, and a spacious series of dining rooms that are refreshing in contrast to most Manhattan spots. Breakfast is probably the one meal that I wouldn't recommend here. A $20 omelette that is served solo, save for one small corn muffin accompaniment is not a good value. If you're going to spend $27 on breakfast per person (tax & tip, no coffee or beverages), do it somewhere with a more interesting menu (like locanda verde), or go somewhere more affordable (like maison kayser). Go to Sarabeth's in the afternoon and evenings, when the vibe is friendly and the value is better.
It was so noisy that, by the time our drinks came, we just left. Never even got to ordering food. If this is the way it is all the time, forget it!!
Delicious food. Big helpings. Noise level too loud for us but maybe because we were given table too near bar. Very near Westfield center and World Trade Center.
The 10oz. Prime Ribeye with root vegetables was delicious. The steak was tender and juicy.... perfect. The root vegetables were tasty.
Super cute, great location, and live music 👍
Came here during restaurant week. Several good choices on the menu and we added an additional appetizer feeling the portions sizes were quite small on the first course. Main course was good as well as the dessert.
Charged 26 dollars for a 6 shot mocha
Food is always good but the service is awful. Our server was the only staff member doing her job. Everyone else was checking their watches, avoiding eye contact so as not to have to help. The lights are dimmed all the way which makes it impossible to get anyone’s attention. We live in the neighborhood and I would love to eat here more but we’ve had terrible service every time we’ve tried SB’d for dinner.
Really enjoyed the place and food. Would recommend.
Overrated. Hostess was rude and made us wait even though we had a reservation and there were tables available. Food was mediocre diner level. Dry muffins and overpriced. Skip this touristy spot and go to some place else for brunch.
We had a newborn and they took care of us. Very good food and service
Sarabeths has always been a consistently yummy experience! We had the toasted almond French toast, the salmon eggs Benedict, the crab meat guacamole and the grilled cheese and tomato soup. All were great. The French toast had a great crunch. The guac could have used a bit of a kick, but it was full of fresh crab meat and house made potato chips. The grilled cheese was sooo good and the soup was cheesy, chunky and rich. Perfect for a cold winter day!
