Overall good experience with the food and service as this is my favorite brunch spot in the city (like that it's spacious and kids friendly). EXCEPT - the first impression this past Monday morning (2/18) was VERY unpleasant. The receptionist's attitude was terrible and absolutely unacceptable for a well known place like Sarahbeth. She shown absolutely no eye contacts and no smile, and acted like she's either did not like to serve us, or she simply does not like her job. We just felt very unwelcome at that very first moment. We observed her a bit more after we sat down and she pretty much acted the same way to most customers - except very few that she shown a bit of smile (I wonder why...). I hope the manager can investgate a bit more on this as this person is nowhere near to qualify yo be at the front greeting people - I can get better service at McDolands.
Do not miss for breakfast! This was "hands down", the best smoked salmon benedict we have ever had! We also ordered a sausage plate as a side. How could you make sausage interestingly different at breakfast? This restaurant impressed us right down to the side dish which was delectable and delicious!
Had a 11:15 reservation for my daughters 16 th birthday Saturday it was so fun we had a great booth , we all ordered French toast of some kind it was delicious not an empty plate ! Coffee was great and service excellent. Never been to this Sarabeth’s total different vibe loved it !
I love this place! The lemon ricotta pancakes are DELICIOUS!! and the tomato soup is great too!
Tuna sandwich was the worst. So dry. And service was beh. Impossible to get the waiter's attention even though there was barely anyone there.
On the bright side, their creamy tomato soup was very good!
My boyfriend and I waited over 40 minutes for our food after ordering. Definitely they should work on this.
Truthfully- aside from the jam and muffin, i don’t feel that it was anything different than a typical NYC diner for brunch. My friend and i found the service to be pathetic. Asking the waitress for water had her eyes rolling. Wouldn’t waste my time going to Tribeca for brunch again
Good atmosphere but the service was very slow
My go to restaurant for reliable great tasting food.
The place was jumping so we were looking forward to a fun brunch. Somehow the coffee looked and tasted old even though they must've beens serving a ton of it - cloudy, thick and bitter. Omelet was good, but the benedict and sides of bacon were literally so cold that there was congealed fat on the bacon. Clearly it is precooked but wasn't reheated before serving. That was easily resolved by the server. Also the benedict was cooked just enough to make a thin, white outer layer, but inside it was pure raw egg, both the clear egg white and the yolk were raw. I love benedict with runny yolks, but this was cold and not poached enough. Final note, bland french toast that my guest pulled a long hair out of his mouth that was cooked into the french toast batter - eeewwwww. Service was perfunctory but covered our needs to our expectations.
Our service was absolutely horrible. The server did not greet us properly, he was nowhere to be found the entire time. Runner brought in our orders and server did not come back not even once to check if everything was alright. We had mentioned it was a birthday and we had asked for a cake. He brought a birthday cake wihout candles on it. Once we mentioned, he went back and got the candles. He only came back on his own without being asked to provide the check. Also had a bad attitude.
We did indeed show up and had brunch today. I checked in at the front desk, too, so if they reported a no-show, Sarabeth’s is mistaken.
Service with a relatively empty restaurant was extremely slow during lunch time. It was so slow the managers provided complementary desserts. We took the desserts to-go because we were pushing 2 hours and everyone ordered standard pre-fixe menu items.
Food was good, staff was helpful, but very crowded loud and not enough bathrooms
It was awesome as always!!
Had a group of 12 and they were super accommodating!!
Everything was great EXCEPT it would be good if you offered gluten free options.
Went for brunch and were seated basically in the kitchen - was very annoying to be seated when there was constant commotion and servers/managers arguing and cursing about customers. The soup that I ordered said “cream of tomato soup” however, the soup was the chunkiest soup I ever had. I didn’t even eat 1/4 of the bowl, and the server never even asked how it was. no manager ever came over to ask how everything was. Very disappointed and likely won’t be coming back
We had oysters, the deviled eggs, Cobb salad, and crab cakes.
I got really sick and intoxicated within hours of our meal. The seafood or eggs were really bad.
Never going back again.
The food was good. My spinach and goat cheese omelette was excellent, but the pumpkin muffin was just okay. The service is what kills it. I had to flag someone down to take my order after several minutes and the place wasn’t that busy at the time. I only had my coffee refilled once and that was after trying for several minutes to flag someone down. Wait staff spent much of my time there leaning against the wall chatting with each other.
Great meal. Service was fantastic.
Typically this restaurant is great but the last time I went the pancakes had an awful aftertaste. When our server got an order incorrect he gave us a hard time about his mistake.
Food was great, as always, but I could do without the attitude from the hostesses. I know you’re always busy, but we had a reservation and didn’t need to be reminded that “this is a really popular place and that even celebrities have to wait.”
Great place! The only bad thing we experienced was we ordered an egg white omelette and we didn’t receive it.
Sarabeth's Tribeca should HONOR items on your menu including your Express Lunch during Restaurant Week OR remove the items from your menu. Manager made no subsitute or accommodation.
Sarabeth's Tribeca is rock solid. The food was both creative and hearty. The service attentive but not obtrusive. The bartender actually walked over and re-filled our cocktail with what was left in the shaker. And when the bill came, it felt like the amount exactly matched the value received - no small feet in Manhattan dining.
Food came out cold, coffee and cappuccino came out cold. We had to co stantlynask for water and other things. Wouldn’t go back. Madison Ave Location is a class act. This location isn’t ... and the restaurant wasn’t even full!!
Authentic NY breakfast experience in a lovely location
Truly disappointing since we thoroughly enjoyed the small Sarabeth coffee shop in Chelsea Market. The restaurant experience was deflating. Service was depressing — waitress seemed unhappy to be waitressing. Special basket of muffins ordered for table was cold and stale’ish. One of six entrees ordered was noteworthy (the others were equivalent to my subpar cooking). Overall ... a waste of meal when our time in NYC was limited.
5 stars on everything
Good for both of us came to table cold. Had to take back to reheat. Service was marginal.
Terrific neighborhood go-to place for all meals. great service from Natalie.
great spot to bring a baby and have a nice family meal together. requested a corner seat, and got an amazing round table. great service and good food!
Loved the tribeca location ♥️
Endroit très agréable cependant service décevant et il faut avoir le temps, 45 minutes pour recevoir notre petit déjeuner.
Food and service were good but portion size was small for the price
Convenient location to financial district; food was tasty and price was right; great ambiance and friendly staff
it was pretty empty and waiter was extraordinarily slow, although nice. But VERY SLOW.
My chicken (rotisserie) was dry and served on lettuce which was wilted by the heat of the chicken and as a garnish was neither attractive nor functional. Martini was not good nor was the sangria.
We were very disappointed in our Sarabeth’s experience st tribeca. We were sat at a table a foot away from another on each side. Our food was cold and our waitress barely checked on us. The bloody Mary’s we ordered tasted like watered down tomato juice.
Great find! Brunch/lunch menu varied and reasonably priced. Service fast however they did not try to push you along to leave. Will be visiting again
