The food and bellinis were amazing. Love the root chips that came with the fish tacos!
Sarabeth's lost our OpenTable reservation after we checked in with our whole party there early. We ended up waiting for over 45 minutes past our reservation time to get seated. We were also told by a waiter not to order one of their specials off the menu because it was so bad it kept getting sent back to the kitchen. It does not inspire confidence in their restaurant overall!
I love Sarabeth’s this is my go to brunch spot!!
Waited 20 minutes despite having a reservation. Took another 20 minutes to order food after we were sat. Order did not come to the table properly and some items were cold. Drinks were watered down. Hostess was rude. It should come as no surprise to the staff here that they will be busy on the weekend. They should plan accordingly.
It's always a treat to go to any Sarabeth's restaurant! You can count on amazing food, presented beautifully. So good. A bit pricey, but every so often we splurge.
It doesn’t get any better than Sarabeth’s! All of their locations are fantastic...the food is fabulous, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere is upscale yet approachable. Sarabeth’s is known for its outstanding brunches, but the bar is also trendy and fun, and the lunches and dinners are superb. We tease my husband because this is the restaurant he ALWAYS chooses! There are also private rooms available for parties and showers, and the staff’s attention to details ensures perfection. Truly a gem in a city known for its myriad foodie opportunities.
I work in the same building. This is always a reliable spot for lunch or dinner. The food is excellent. A little on the pricey side but generally worth it.
Heard so much reviews, but was disappointed (Park Ave South Location). The hostess was nice and patient but she still would not seat our group, even through a majority of our group were on time at the site except for one. The one person was a block away.
When we did sat down, they quickly asked for our drink order, but took longer to come back to take our food order. We finally ordered and waited even longer for the food to arrive. Over all everyone enjoyed their food for a ”classic” NY brunch, but I was disappointed with my order when it came. I ordered the Avocado & Burrata Toast- sunnyside egg, petite greens, espelette. I was expecting sliced avocados, and a side of espelette aoili for spreading or dipping. Not guacamole spread on the toast. If that was the case the menu description should have said guacamole, not espelette. And the petite greens was basically a pinch garnish of watercress. "Where was the greens!?" When I questioned it, I was rudely told that is how it comes. I wish I took a picture, so I could have attached...a picture is sooo worth thousands!!
The waiter didn't even offer to refill our coffee and tea throughout the meal. Service was so so very bad, especially considering the upscale ambiance and prices! Waiter barely visited the table and was extremely hard to reach (especially when paying). The waiter didn't even ask if we wanted dessert and just presented the check. The waiter also did not ask, as a courtesy, if we wanted to split the check, since it was a big group.
So much high expectation, but was very disappointing...unfortunately my experience wasn’t as great as expected...it was a special occasion (birthday and we're out of town visiting friends). I would not go to this location again. May be will try the other location, they seem to have far better reviews.
Delicious food, excellent service, varied menu. We will definitely return.
One of my favorite places for brunch! Always excellent. I love their popover eggs.
The ahi tuna was about an appetizer portion. Not really a lunch size.
Good food, good service, nice ambiance and quiet (note: I understand it can get very noisy at lunch and brunch but dinner is nice and quiet).
Typical Sarabeth's food--tasty and reliable. Service was very bad, especially considering the upscale ambiance and prices. Waitress barely visited the table and was extremely hard to reach (especially when paying).
Table was too high, or seats too low.....Hostess told us they replaced the seat cushions, so they are too low. My friend, who is short, almost had her chin on the table. Need to fix this! It's not real comfortable.
Sarabeth’s provides a ”classic” NY brunch for well heeled tourists but lacks the friendly neighbourhood vibe that so many other places provide. Just ok.
Consistently good food, consistently poor service - it takes very, very long.
The food was great and the ambience was awesome. The servers were kind of weird though. Not as lively and happy as I’ve experienced at other Sarabeth locations.
Excellent service great food alittle high priced but great experience
We frequent Sarabeth's every New Year"s Day for brunch. It never disappoints. The Bloody Marys are great and the food is delicious.
The skirt steak was incredibly small in size and not worth the price. The s’mores in a jar desert was awful. We advised the server that we had 40 in cash and the rest on the card. He then ran the card for the full amount and pocketed the money. When we asked about it he said he misunderstood and assumed it was for him, which is not what we told him when he took the bill and was well over a 20% tip based on the bill. Safe to say we will not be returning to Sarabeth’s.
The hostess seated an incomplete party before us
We were put in the back room which was not where I wanted to sit
I ordered the French toast which said it came with strawberries. It came with raspberries and when I questioned it was rudely told that is how it comes
This has been my “go to”
Place for brunch when friends and family come to town. The service and food has always been great and this time was very very disappointing.
On this particular Sunday we got a comfortable sized booth for 6 people where we could have intimate conversation in a large dining room. Food is consistently good, wish my eggs Benedict was warmer, but the portion was ample and tasty. We were not rushed, but food comes out quickly. They don’t seat you until the entire party is present. Prices are higher by 2-3 dollars from what you might get elsewhere, but this is a good, reliable option where there’s plenty of seating in a well-lit place where you can go for a quick good bite or linger a bit with friends/family.
Food was nice but over priced. The waiter seemed to want to get us out as soon as possible. Very crammed almost elbowing the table next door and screaming children distracted from what was a nice bit over priced meal.
Sarabeth's (Park Ave. South) is one of my favorite brunch locations when visiting the city. On my most recent visit the food was delicious, however, the service was disappointing. The staff works as a team, which normally works well. But when there was a problem the communication broke down.
I requested a grilled pumpkin muffin with my original order. When the muffin didn't arrive with my eggs I reminded the server that I was also expecting a grilled muffin. The server's reply was, "was it on the original order?" ... with a glare ... yes, a distinct glare ... and an attitude that somehow the source of this mistake must be me! Another server quickly delivered a whole muffin and retreated to a corner where he began talking to 2 other employees. Since the muffin was not grilled as requested, I spent 3 minutes trying to get his attention from my table. I finally stopped a passing bus boy and asked him to get a server. A grilled muffin finally arrived when I was almost finished with my eggs. (This was at 10 AM and the restaurant was not packed.)
The most frustrating part of the experience was how difficult it was to get the attention of a staff member to correct a problem. The staff should be trained to continually scan their respective tables when they are moving through the restaurant or standing in a corner.
Very nice service. Food was just ok. Much better for brunch then dinner.
Very warm welcome from the hostess and all the waitstaff, especially our waitress Freba. Loved my cocktail and this is a good option for comfort food.
Food was amazing! Service was a little slow but overall the experience was great.
My first time and I felt comfortable and everyone was so polite and helpful. Food was excellent !!
The adult grilled cheese was great, and the tomato soup was the best we ever had. Great Gems Caesar salad.
I always go to Sarabeths and the food is excellent. I had lunch with a friend from out of town and looked forward to catching up. The waitress brought our order and never came back with butter and syrup. After about 45 minutes she started circling the table and tried to take our plates away. This has never happened before. The waitress then placed our check on the table not even asking if we wanted dessert. I will go back to Sarabeths because the service is usually excellent. I guess this was a busy day.
One of our favorite restaurants in NYC
Host/Hostess were a bit snippy but that was overcome by very attentive service once we sat down. Brunch on Christmas eve was very good.
Just not good. It may be called Sarabeth’s but on the inside it’s a different style of restaurant from the Central Park location. Not quality. Food was cold, muffins tasteless. Won’t be going here again.
Christmas Eve, Eve Brunch 🎄
It was perfect wasnt too much crowded
It was the perfect place to meet friends for a late afternoon lunch. It was quiet enough to have conversation and we enjoyed a pre-holiday celebration, opening gifts and languishing over coffee and dessert.
Our server could not have been nicer, and the food at Sarabeth's is reliably delicious!
Excellent food. Service was disorganized. No bread until we asked. Then no oil or butter until we asked. One appetizer never arrived. Their service approach was too informal.
The french toast was probably the best I've ever had. So perfectly fluffy and toasted.
Always great for hosting colleagues or friends. Consistently great service and good food. Highly recommended for breakfast and lunch in particular.
