Took a friend to Sarabeth’s for a celebration dinner. The menu has plenty of great choices and the service was terrific.

Although the restaurant came recommended and I had glanced at the menu beforehand, I honestly didn’t quite know what to expect. I loved the style of the place - from ceiling down to floor tile. The brunch menu had what one would expect- but a cut above the rest.
I ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes and am happy to report I ate all 5 of them! Delicious.

I have had mixed experiences at Sarabeth‘s. I tend to like the uptown locations better, however, the location of this restaurant was better situated for one of my friends.

We ended up having brunch and I had the almond crusted french toast. I had it before at the upper West side location and it was delicious. Here, the bread was soaked in butter and unevenly cooked. I also had to send the bacon back because they did not make it extra crispy like I had wanted. Although this appears to be minor, the reason why I pay a lot of money to go to Sarabeth‘s is that they typically follow instructions and I don’t have to delay my meal by sending things back to the kitchen.

My friend and I did try one of their drinks which was champagne with flower juice. Yes it sounds a bit odd and I guess that’s why we tried it. It was supposed to be on the sweeter side and it definitely wasn’t as advertised.

We finished with a plate of cookies, which were tasty. What grates a little bit is the fact that you get about five or so cookies and you pay around 10 or so dollars.

So, my review is a culmination of aggravation that I’ve had over the past few years with this location. I’ve decided to put this one on the blacklist and not dine there in the future. It cost too much money to have mediocre food.

Coffee served lukewarm. Very bitter. No refills. Muffins in muffin basket cold, so clearly came from the freezer and had not been properly thawed out for serving. Butter was cold and hard - difficult to spread.

The great menu and decent food can't salvage the experience when the service is so subpar. Incomplete place settings, water glass with a dead bug on it, repeated requests for coffee refills, and a 20-25 minute wait for food that was nearly cold. Pathetic.

Very disappointed for service - there are only one time I got ‘Thank you’, it was when I leave the place from gentlemen who looks like a manager at the place. Our server had major attitudes, almost very rude. I used to use this place for business meeting but I will not use the place anymore.

My friend and I️ met here for brunch on a Sunday. Service was prompt and friendly. We shared the jalapeño cheese omelette and the blueberry pancakes. Both were delicious. It’s a pretty large place and quite packed too.

Service was not great, took forever to get milk for the tea for example. Scones were not warm. Food wasn't bad but wasn't outstanding and considering the tepid service and premium price I wouldn't go back.

I ordered the special menu item Crab Cake Eggs Benedict and asked specifically that my eggs be poached very easy. Instead they were medium - hard, there was hardly any hollandaise sauce and the flavor was mediocre. For $26 brunch special menu item it was beyond disappointing. My first time at Sarabeths, i dont understand what all the hype is about.

I prefer this Sarabeth's over Tribeca now, it's more up-to-date with the decor. I love that they serve breakfast until 3:30pm since they have the best choices - the popover with scrambled eggs is amazing. I got a quinoa crusted ahi tuna salad that I really enjoyed. Big fan of Sarabeth's....

Made a reservation for a family member's birthday on a Sunday @1:15pm. The place was packed and the waiting area in dire need of clean up. When arrived at table, floor below it was filthy with plenty of remnants from previous occupants. Table sticky from something..While the food and service did not disappoint, I was surprised at the poor cleanliness throughout the entire restaurant. Perhaps the staff was short? We did appreciate the free chocolate cake and candle to celebrate and finish on a high note.

Funny - I told my friend that I was booking for our lunch - she said "that place is filled with old ladies" - she was thinking of the Central Park South restaurant. When she arrived here the front was filled with strollers - the only old ladies here were us! Got her to admit that she loved the lunch and that the place was indeed quite wonderful. We sat for a few hours chatting, drinking and eating. I recommend this restaurant - I have been here many times and plan to return many times more.

Our waiter, Louis, was really attentive and very professional. We each chose a pre-fix dinner @ $40. Our starter , we both had the kale salads, and main courses (I had salmon, my friend had lobster) were very good and so was the assorted bread basket. Our only disappoint was the dessert. The choices were chocolate truffle cake and caramelized banana split. So, we ordered one of each; they were disappointing. We only had a couple of bites. Not worth the calories. Overall, I would certainly recommend this restaurant, just not the two desserts featured.

Sadly I was disappointed by Sarabeth's. I have such great memories of previous visits there, so I was really looking forward to breakfast on our last day in NYC. We ordered 1) farmer's omelet - good but pricey 2) almond crusted french toast - best thing we had that day 3) kale & eggs 4) regular eggs. and pancakes for the table.

The pancakes were incredibly disappointing...no flavor, not warm...

food was ok - but not better than the diner breakfast we had the day before at 1/3 of the price. I'd recommend it - but be prepared to pay a lot - and skip the pancakes.

Food was great, the service was friendly, until one of us had finished a dish, and then the staff would rush over to take the plate away . We wanted to wait until all of us were finished before the plates were cleared. They didn't get the hint, we told them, "clear the plates later when we're all done" and the busboy kept coming to clear them one by one. We had to stop them. It was annoying. other than that, good food and service.

Service was awful, our food took over 45 minutes to arrive, my eggs Benedict were ice cold upon arrival. Bloody Mary tasted like regular tomato juice.

My first time and it was fabulous. My husband has eaten at Sara Beth locations for the last 15 years(when in town for business).lived the bar while we waited;a couple was having the coolest bloody Mary's (one had a jumbo shrimp in it) noticed the bar menu that had yummy choices. Brunch menu and lunch menu offered classic dishes as well as creative ones. Can't wait to come back ...to bar or dinner.

Sara Beth is great place to know about: reliable with several convenient locations. I was trying to accommodate a number of dietary needs for a lunch that included a 13 year old. Sara Beth came to mind because of their wide and approachable selection. They serve breakfast and lunch at the same time, so it's also good for travelers who may not be totally on Eastern Time. Everything we had was delicious and portions were generous. Our waiter checked back often enough to bring us what was needed without intruding on our conversation.
