It was an unpleasant experience from every perspective. We chose the prefix menu and was shocked to receive pulverized mashed mush which were supposed to be vegetables topped with rubbery burnt fish. Other members of the party who ordered the skirt steak received something that looked like steakums and a tiny basket of about a dozen or so French fries. The waiter was selling and did not appear for the first 15 minutes, did not return for another 15 minutes and we had to flag down other staff to at least give us a basket of bread to hold us until someone came to take the order. After the meal was done, the waiter disappeared again and once again, we had to go to the extremely unpleasant Hostess to find out whether our waiter would return with the bill. It was a shocking decline in the level of quality from prior visits. We will never, ever, ever return to any Sarabeth's location

Went to Sarabeth's recommended by a friend and we were not disappointed. The food was very good: my kids loved it. The ambiance was vibrant. Great location as well. We strolled to Madison Square Park after finishing our copious brunch there.

The food at Sarabeth’s used to be extraordinary! We’d go for Sunday Brundh every time we were in NYC (at least twice a year). It replaced Parker Le Meridien. This time the prices have almost doubled and the food was not as good. The lemon ricotta pancakes were smaller and thinner and not as good. My 5 flavor mimosa was very banana forward and not as good. There weren’t as many options on the menu. We decided we’d be trying somewhere else on our next Girls’ Trip to the City… 😔

SaraBeth's was a gem of a find! I had the adult grilled cheese and tomato soup and it is the best I have ever had. My sister had the burger and fries and loved every bit of it all. The fries were hand cut and perfectly cooked. My daughter had the roasted chicken and loved it and my neice had the meatball appetizer and enjoyed it as well. We also ate there for breakfast a couple of days later and everything was amazing. From the service to the food to the atmosphere, everything was top notch. It was such a special find in NYC. I would absolutely go back the next time we are in New York.

Location location location. Mix of tourists and elderly upper east siders. We were sat at a row of tables in a hallway immediately outside the kitchen. Might as well have been inside the kitchen. Door slamming, kitchen staff yelling, noisy. Restaurant clearly trying to maximize number of tables with no care of impact on dining experience. Food itself was tired and uninspired. Tasteless breakfast sausage, two runny eggs, toast and “micro greens” (mostly the parts one would discard because they are inedible) for $30. Oh and cold coffee. Avoid.

Server sat us and then moved our table sandwiching us between 2 large parties with multiple young children. Guests were up and around, noisy, and their backs in our face while dining. Made for a terrible experience and lost my appetite. Escalated to the manager but he offered his apologies and not much more.

We had a great time! Delicious food and outstanding service! It was the birthday of one of my very best friends - what a great way to celebrate! We had the best time - not rushed at all! Shrimp cocktail, pizza and tuna entree were all wonderful! And the surprise slice of cake with a candle at the end was the perfect ending! Sarabeth's is always fantastic! Thank you!!

The food was so good. Our party of four got French toast, buttermilk pancakes, quiche and another dish which was eggs in a popover. We also had a basket of popovers because who can resist a popover! Our server JC was attentive, friendly and very helpful.

Way overpriced food and not very tasty. $30 for a "french toast" that straight up tasted like egg yolk. Do not recommend, not the same quality food as it used to be. We paid over 100$ for an omelette, french toast and coffee. You are better off grabbing a bagel sandwich from across the street.

Overall, the food is always very good. The service is just so-so. The only downside is that the cost of dining here is pretty high. I got the "fat and fluffy" French toast, which was $26. Only two pieces, which is enough for me, but a bit meager given the price. Also, they tend to be a bit stingy with the jam, which comes with toast. Sort of surprising since that's what Sarabeth was initially known for. This restaurant (for me) is a special occasion type of place. Unfortunately, not someplace where I could dine regularly.

Love Sarabeth’s!! The food is amazing and the service is superb! Elizabeth the manager is wonderful and makes sure your visit is great. This is our go to place when in town and when we finally move here. Will definitely bring family and friends. Bought a couple bottle of her jam and it’s delicious. Had to take a little piece back home.

We thought it a little odd, that the happy hour menu for outside diners was only on one side of the curve and not the other. Our food was initially delivered cold however, the maître d’ was very good in replacing both dishes with fresh hot dishes the artichoke dip was very tasty in particular.
