Lovely place for brunch-lunch. Cozy. The staff was very accommodating; we were sitting near the window and it was a bit cool so they moved us to a warmer and quieter table.

Our food was perfectly delicious, and the service was excellent. We were there for a late dinner, 9:00ish on a Monday, so the restaurant was quiet and not at all crowded, with lovely ambience. We would definitely return and highly recommend!

We had a nice family dinner at Sarabeth’s. It is our go to spot for a family dinner in Carnegie Hill.

There is something for everyone ...for young daughters and for the adults as well.

Food was freshly made and good quality. Like that breakfast is served into late afternoon. Seating is cramped as tables are very close to each other making it difficult to get up from your seat bacuse you have to squeeze between tables next to yours.

A nice lunch there with friends, with delicious chicken pot pie and grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup, and friendly service.

BUT the restaurant doesn't appear to be well-maintained, and the bathroom facilities, which are not accessible from the restaurant without going up about 6 stairs and through a door into the corridor of the adjoining hotel, are really subpar.

Not sure what's happened to Sarabeth's East but it's certainly not the restaurant it once was. The staff were perfectly pleasant but clearly untrained. The hostess spent most of the evening shopping for clothes on the iPad used for seating. Waiters were not proactive nor were they aware of what was out of stock as nearly all of our orders has to be amended well after ordering due to items no longer being available. Some items that were ordered were simply not brought to the table. We had to flag people down for drinks. Food was served from the right and removed from the left (again, clearly not trained). The bathrooms were disgusting, uncleaned, chipped paint, broken toilet hardware. The once luxuriously upholstered banquette seating now features seating upholstered in cheap faux leather. The food was fine though not exceptional and certainly not worth the cost. I'm aware that Suzanne Levine (Sarabeth) sold this property years ago but those owners kept standards high. I assume it's since been sold off again and whoever runs it now is running straight into the ground. A real shame.

I have been coming to SaraBeth's at this location for 30 years (from when it was just a bakery). I have never had a bad meal here and it remains my favorite place to eat in NYC. It has lovely ambience, the service is always good and the food is delicious.

Hello, it is sad that I took my girlfriend here for her birthday. The food was really good. But the service was horrible. And I heard other tables saying that the service was horrible as well. The other friend that we brought with us said that they will never return to this restaurant. The waiter barely came to talk to us the whole night. We had to hunt him down every time we needed him. We asked for a checked three times. When it did not come, my friend just got up went over to the hostess and asked for the check and waited to get it. All of this is too bad because the food was good.

The cobb salad was best in class--delicious, wholesome ingredients. The omelet was great. They said they had pumpkin muffins, but did not, and did not apologize for that oversight. They seemed really shortstaffed. They were, though, kind when seating us.

The food was good (four of us had a variety of dishes) but the service was very strange. When coffee arrived, there was no sugar on the table. Also no spoons. I ordered cream and got milk instead. Servers had to be looked for and flagged down. Very odd. There were sufficient servers on view, but no one seemed prepared. Eventually, meals were served, and all evened out, with better service to follow. Perhaps the problem was that we had arrived between shifts (a bit late for brunch, a bit early for dinner) on a Sunday afternoon/evening. Still, it would seem that a longstanding restaurant like Sarabeth's could do better than no spoons, no sugar and wrong items brought to the table.

Always loved Sarabeth’s- I even had a birthday party at the midtown location.
I asked twice for balsamic vinegar for my salad . The waiter never checked back on our table - person who cleared the table just said sorry and handed my husband the bill.

Orange juice is not fresh. Guacamole also not house made. The cheese melt for adults, announces a good mix (gruyere, manchego ,..) and none of those cheeses one can barely taste, the pretzel bread is not toasted but butter soggy and small...
Really dissapointing
