The food, service and ambiance were all outstanding! I will be back!
Disappointing - my Cesar salad had the 3 lettuce cores in it. I found the restaurant dirty and fruit flies bothered us. Not worth the price
Sunday breakfast was quite disappointing. This location did a very poor job with the food. Lower Manhattan and west side locales far better. “Green and white” eggs and lox and eggs dishes overwhelmed with cream cheese. Three pepper potatoes were underwhelming and seemed mass produced elsewhere — and not cooked well (mushy, not crisp as usual; tiny overcooked pieces of peppers and onions). Muffins on smaller side.
Terrible. Poor service and mediocre to poor food. I will not go back.
We waited an hour and 20 minutes to he served after the waiter ignored us or assured us it was “five more minutes”. The excuse was that they had a party going on. But others received their orders. We had an event that had to get to and we all had lass than 5 minutes to eat. We ordered the prix fix hut had i no o tome for dessert. No apologies no offer of even one free entree. Sent us packing with a paper bag of cookies. Never again
Had tomato soup, crabmeat guacamole, a few salads and some iced teas. Soup and tea were the highlights. No gluten free options. Everything else was forgettable, as we must have been to the waitstaff. Hardly saw our waiter. Would not come back on a return visit to the city.
Creamy tomato soup was just that, creamy and excellent. The omelette was excellent as was the accompanying biscuit. Salad was a little dry and served on a plate slightly small for all of it, although it was not a particularly large salad. The waitstaff was efficient, not particularly welcoming. This is a good place to have lunch. It is a large room with a lot of tables, sunlit in the front part of the room, and clean.
The dining area was beautifully appointed, with high ceiling and lavish (faux) floral arrangements, but still maintaining a feeling of informality. The staff was very friendly and efficient. We were headed for a lecture at the Guggenheim after dinner, and our plates appeared quite rapidly, without any special prompting, so I assume they are used to a pre-concert or other event crowd. The menu had a number of interesting choices and they were responsive to a number of special requests on the items we ordered, without any delay in service. Prices seemed a little steep, but perhaps that's just because I've become used to dining out in Westchester these days. There were not a lot of other diners there on a Sunday evening, but I understand it can be quite crowded for Sunday brunch.
I usually love this restaurant but boy was I disappointed. The omelette that I had which was simple - the Farmers Omelette had no taste and later that evening I was sick to my stomach. In addition we were there for brunch and they did not have one muffin left. The worst thing though was that the people next to us had a water glass with lipstick on their table when they arrived. When they told one of the servers he removed it and gave them a new one but put the dirty one on someone else’s clean table!!! It was disgusting and I will not return.
we had some nice muffins. there was a fly. i had avocado toast. my name is sophia.
This is very nice place to have a blanch. Egg Benedict is awesome.
Safely, predictably, comforting.
Thank you for your feedback and we hope to see soon again
Very very disappointing
Will never go back
Birthday brunch with a friend. We waited 30 min. after our reservation time to be seated. Once seated, everything was charming and the food was as expected. Will go again but not during peak hours because the wait area is tiny.
Wonderful place to have Sunday Brunch. --- But have reservations.
Perfect spot for a Birthday brunch
The food and service are always reliably good, as evidenced by all tables always being full. Service is friendly and attentive. I do think it is a bit pricey, especially for breakfast. However, I do recommend.
Food and service was very good. Restaurant was a little cold when door opened. Expensive but it was the upper east side.
That was my first time eating at Sarabeth’s and the experience was great. Thank you to everyone who made my Valentine’s Day special.
Our server was poor. She left for the day and never told us.
Go to Sarabeth's often. It is consistently good. It is close by and I often take guests.
Thank you for your feedback and we hope to see you soon again.
Always a comfortable experience.
Thank you for your feedback and we certainly hope to see you again soon
Eggs Benedict were delicious. quiet not rushed on a weekday.
Thank you for your feedback and we hope to see you again soon
Had a wonder time here to kick off restaurant week. The staff was absolutely amazing and helpful
Thank you for your feedback and we hope to see you again soon
I have eaten at this and other Sarabeth's many many times over the years. It's an "old" stalwart...not the place where you expect anything exciting. That said, the level of service at this location, on this particular night was lackluster, especially considering the dining room was less than half-full. The waiter forgot one of two drink orders. The tomato soup was cold. When it was time to request the check, and i tried to get someone's attention, after a few attempts to do so discreetly by raising a hand and waving, and then calling in a low voice, i finally had to shout - literally shout - to be heard. The person who finally responded was either in conversation with another staff person or was listening to something, but definitely was not monitoring the dining room to see whether any customer required attention.
I hope this is an anomaly, not the new normal for an old favorite.
Always make an effort to visit Sarabeth's when in Manhatten.
Awesome food. Great place
Our server was very good and my friends and I had a nice time catching up. But it was noisier than I remember from past visits. Perhaps I'm just more sensitive to the noise level but we all had a difficult time hearing --except for the person sitting closest to us.
Lovely experience. Great champagne cocktail and eggs Benedict was delicious. Waitress was kind and engaging. She was attentive while allowing my friends and I time to catch up. Just perfect!
It was crowded and noisy, the plates are very expensive and they don't even make an effort in the presentation. For 22 dollars I literally had an omelette thrown on an empty plate and 4 pieces of toast on the side, no effort on a little decoration or something. Also the omelette was supposed to have salmon and goat cheese, however the salmon was chopped in tiny tiny bits that you could barely taste while eating. The waiter was rather condescending, when we asked to see a hot beverage menu he just kept on repeating they only have coffee and tea. It made us feel rather unwelcome so for sure we will not go there ever again.
Seated promptly with reservation. Server was excellent and attentive.
We wanted a quiet spit o the upper east side. Good choice. Food was very good and fresh. I had delicious fish and chips and my friends had chicken pot pie and salmon and raves about the food.
It was quiet which allowed us to have conversation without screaming.
Will be back again.
Have the tomato soup and cheese sandwich, it will bring back memories of your childhood, only better! A really wonderful place for brunch, light and airy, very good service. Prices are a little high but I thought it was well worth it. The food was excellent, we will definitely return here. Was so nice after a day at the Met which is not too far a walk away.
