A very special place that we love to return to. Brought my young granddaughter there for a special breakfast while she visited us from Chicago. Food is delicious and the ambiance is lovely

I’ve been loving SaraBeth’s since the 1980s.
Great brunch options and always consistent.
Now that we can make a reservation it’s even more enjoyable. Best Tomato soup!

Sarabeth's is ridiculously overrated. The coffee was lukewarm, the mugs were small, I had ordered an egg white omelet and they brought me a regular one, so they had to re-make it, meanwhile my friend was almost through her breakfast when they brought me out the new omelette, which was so greasy that it made my croissant soggy. There is absolutely nothing positive to write about the food experience. I don't think I will be back again.

I ordered a caesar salad with chicken breast. Pretty simple to get right. Nope. The chicken was as dry as the proverbial cardboard. I go back to Sarabeth's on the Westside back when she started. Her Eastside establishment needs more input from her because she would have never allowed such bad food to be served back in the day.

The food was excellent and there were some unusual dishes like the crab spaghetini . The service was first rate. It is a charming, well-lit room. The background music, Jazz and the American Songbook, was very tasteful. And the baked goods, which bewitched us on the way out, were well worth our time and money!

I have to be gluten free. There is almost no accommodation for that. I ordered a $19 omelette it came on a large plate with nothing else. ( i asked for the muffin that it would have come with as take out for my son)
Had I preferred scrambled eggs with say bacon or home fries..it would have cost $14 for the 2 eggs and $10 for Bacon and $10 for home fries. $34 plus $5 for coffee I say that is gross and outrageous. it states No substitutions - so its irritating and limited and I'll Never go there again. Staff was fine.

The food was great—as usual. And the service was nice and my colleague and I had an enjoyable dining experience this evening. The crab cake is always supreme at Sarabeth’s.

I use a wheelchair and it was difficult to get in the restaurant.the staff was great, tho, and had a few people get up from their table so I could get in to the restaurant.

Why not use a portable ramp like they do at Prune?

Then when I decided to use the rest room, I was told that I had to go thru the hotel and the hotel staff would help me get to the rest room. Talk about making one feel second-class!

Really, it appears that Sarabeth’s has disdain for those of us with disabilities. Our credit cards are as good as anyone’s, but we do not like to feel that we are a pain to deal with. And from the clientele when we we were there, there were no others elderly people. Maybe Sarabeth’s should look at this and make some renovations.

I went to Sarabeth’s central park south before. UpperEast is better than that because there are fewer travelers so I could feel the local atmosphere.

There is not a lot of competition in the area and the menu has something for everyone. However, I have gone to Sarabeth East for many years and feel the quality all around is mediocre.

The ambiance was very upper east side...stoic but quaint enough. We ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes and bacon which were very good, and the grilled cheese with tomato soup which my teen enjoyed. Seemed a lot of the older ladies brunching there ordered mimosas which looked yummy. I did note a good mix of older and younger (even high school age) tables. Very good place to have brunch before heading to nearby museums (we went to the Guggenheim which was about a 5 minute walk). Prices were a bit high, over $50 for our meals, but then again it was the upper east side...

Sarabeth's is a consistently excellent restaurant with food and service. We go there at least once a week for lunch and occasionally for dinner. It is always reliably good.

It was ok. I prefer the other Sarabeth's location. I am not sure if they didn't have enough staff, but our order was only partially correct and I had ordered a drink that never came. They didn't charge me for it so it wasn't a big deal but still annoying.

Living on past reputation. Food was just average. Space is depressing and in desperate need of a paint job. Staff attitude is begrudging at best. If given a choice between “anywhere” else and Sarabeth’s, take “anywhere” else.

PS. My wife said 2 stars is generous.

DISAPPOINTING! I have been to Sarabeth's on the West side several times, but this was my first visit to the East side. The food was tasty, but the service was very slow and inattentive. My sister and I had to ask for water and a coffee refill, and the server never came back to check on our table after our food was delivered --after waiting 45 minutes and seeing other tables seated after us get their food first! There was no excuse for the slow service as it wasn't even that busy. Not going back!

Perhaps I ordered wrong but everything on the menu should be tasty. My dish just seemed odd. I ordered the granola with yogurt, fruit and honey. I got a large bowl of yogurt with a dollop of yogurt in the center surrounded by a sliced banana and 3 slices of strawberry and a tiny bowl of honey. It should have been more yogurt and less granola as it was literally eating plain, dry granola. The granola should’ve been a topping for the yogurt instead of the yogurt being a topping for the granola. The coffee was expensive at $5 but very good. Service was attentive.
