The food was really good. I was disappointed in the atmosphere. Although modern decor was stunning the layout was not relaxing. Crowded and noisy. The staff tried their best but the seating in congested and the you felt as though you were in a chain restaurant. Even PF Changs has a better and more personal ambiance.

We go here because my kids love their food. The service is extremely fast, so I would recommend ordering slowly if you want to linger. Great place to go if you are looking to get a fast bite before a movie or a game as you will can in and out quickly. Always good quality food and very consistent. Love their fried calamari and soy ginger sauce. They make great tuna hand rolls too. for some reason we rarely order entrees, just sushi and a few appetizers, but it always hits the spot

Sapporo did not disappoint on food, service, location or setting. Only downside - is the noise level. Not a place to have a conversation unless you are sitting next to each other.

Requested a Teppan cooking table. They rushed us through dinner, as we were sitting with another couple, we could not control the timing as we felt uncomfortable asking them to slow down. We ordered appetizers and the food started coming out and the cooking started before our appetizers arrived, so we cancelled the appetizer order. Very disappointing. The waiter didn't have a handle on the timing of everything.

The evening was odd from the start. We had reservations for 8 they called to confirm but when we got there it was for 6. They then showed us to a 4 top with leaves that we huddled around - even with an empty restaurant. The server was nice but inattentive/inefficient. Empty plates and glasses piled up. We ended up putting them on the next table over. He would get a couple people something then leave without clearing items or getting the full order. Also this was a birthday celebration noted in the open table reservation and on their log book but no mention by anyone on staff. Food was good but came on its own schedule regardless what course it was. Not sure I will go back.

Service was great. Ordered lamb chops med rare and were more on medium side. Also, small bone chips on some chops, like residue from sawing chops. Flavor was great. Sashimi was excellent. Service was great. Also, we had one person at our table who ordered a meal with a pork chop and the manager came out and advised against them due to small size. Kudos to the manager!

Was our first dining experience with Sapporo and it was EXCELLENT/OUTSTANDING. I had the Chicken Cashew with fried rice and loved it had a decent blend of peppers, cashews and chicken and was quite filling but not over filling. Portions were excellent not to big just right. Also had the Japanese Noodle Bowl and it was delicious wished I could've had more noodles. The atmosphere was energetic and music selection good. The hostess was very helpful and our server did an excellent job of explaining the menu and entrees. Cocktails were good too. Definitly has been a good find for us and we will definitly be back.

Predictably excellent food. Didn't have to hunt for walnuts in my salad - it was full of them. Skinny pineapple mojito is very good for only 100 calories. The only concern with Sapporo is that it's pretty noisy and can be hard to talk.

I really enjoyed this place because of the experience. If your any kind of sports fan you will enjoy this place, because of the sports memorabilia . D&C is also where the Sun Devils have their pregame meals.

I have three kids and it is a great place where we can go and have the best sushi in town! The staff is very friendly and treated us like family. The bartender put on a show that was amazing and the kids loved the action!! Would definitely choose Sapporo again. (Did I mention The BEST sushi in town!!)

Went to Sapporo with a friend on Thursday night and sat in their main dining room, I loved it so much that I took my family there last night for the hibachi tables. I ordered the Seabass which was absolutely the best I've ever had. My parents ordered the Kobe which the waitress recommended and they loved it. The Chef was not as entertaining as we had hoped considering my two nieces were with us. But he was friendly and definitely knew how to cook. I ordered the clementine drink again and I'm not waiting long to have another one. It was a Friday night there and busy, but the wait staff was attentive and gave my very needy father lots of attention. The manager came over to our table and talked with us and was on top of her game. Awesome!

We dined for NYE with the intentions of a great meal. Sapporo did not deliver on any level. We arrived about 15 minutes early for our reservation and we're seated promptly which was a good sign. We ordered a bottle of champagne...he then returned and asked which bottle we wanted because he forgot...he later comes out with a bottle of Chardonnay...7 minutes later he arrived with the correct bottle without a chiller, which arrived 10 minutes later. We then ordered sushi and received it within about 10 minutes and never saw the server again for 15 minutes. We then ordered another appetizer from another server. Finally we see our server again and order our entrees. We arrived at 9:15 and didn't close out until 11:30pm.

I have been a regular customer for years and have always enjoyed our experience. We love the food and the experience. Unfortunately our New Years Eve experience was bad. We made reservations as we always do, arrived early, then waited and waited as everyone seemed to get seated before us. The hostess was not helpful and the manager was rude to us, which was shocking as it never had been our experience there. We under up leaving after waiting 45 minutes for a table. They really seemed to not care, and on a busy night I guess that's the way it goes. They lost a regular customer to accommodate for those who visit once per year that night. Oh we'll, such is life.

Salad server was very energetic. Waiter did an excellent job. The table chef was quiet and acted completely bored with his job. We came to this restaurant for the table showmanship as it was our daughters 16th birthday. The table chef never even mentioned her birthday. He lit the plates on fire and also made the tower with the onions but that was it. Very disappointed as compared to past dining experiences and also compared with the table next to us!

Made reservations for 6 people for table cooking. We were taken to our table where they had forced 11 chairs in a table designed for 8. They were sitting another family with us for a total of 11 people. You couldn't even move the chairs to sit down. When we complained we were given attitude by both hostesses. The facility was less than half full at this time and multiple other tables were available. They forced us to move when we were the first group to arrive. They moved us to a table that did not yet have a server assigned. Consequently we had to wait over a half hour just to get water. Food was average for the price. Japanese cooking with mexican cook=everything way overcooked. He even joked about this.

Have been to Sapporo twice now and both times the rhythm of the service isn't comfortable. The first time we got our meal before our waitress brought us our wine and we hadn't finished our appetizers before the meal came. When we asked our waitress about it she said wasn't her fault - the kitchen sets the pace and then when on to explain how most people at Sapporo want their meals fast ????? This time was better - got food in the right order - but still the over zealous waitress (though very sweet) made us feel rushed. The wait staff we have experienced seems very inexperienced - not schooled in the nuances of a great dining experience.
Food is always good!

This was my first visit and it will be my last. The only great thing was the waitress! She was awesome! The booth was very uncomfortable. The booth was just below a Tepinachi (spelling?) table. Once a "show" started above us, we could not hear each other think, the smell of the gas that powered the table was overwhelming, the notice level rediculous and the food mediocre! The sushi choices, for people allergic to crab was terrible! I understand you can change things out but almost every roll had either fake crab or crab mix? Not happy. The other couple ordered food and the portions were small and were on small plates. Overall, not happy

I visited Sapporo for the first time for lunch. It had a wonderful ambiance, inviting
for a single person or a large group. We were given a table where we could talk without being disturbed, and our sever was wonderful. She was considerate of our time, and helped us with the menu. The sushi was delicious, such an amazing selection and I had a difficult time deciding what to order, so we ordered several different kinds. If you are a sushi lover, this is a great place to eat but even if you are not, they have a wide variety of other foods as well.
