Sapporo Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Our family loves this restaurant. Excellent Korean food in a pretty setting. From the outside it looks like just a strip mall place, but inside is well decorated. It's always busy, particularly if you want a barbeque table. Favorite dishes include the pork bulgogi and Kang chicken. The Korean side dishes are always great as well.
Wasn't wild about returning here but my son was keen on it. Like my first visit, the place is just ok... and pricey for what you get. The veggies on our shrimp teriyaki dish were very good but the shrimp were tiny and hard... don't recommend. Food is forgettable. Not returning... so many other places that are more enjoyable.
A completely ordinary stripmall dining experince. Food was edible but nothing exceptional the result of doing two cuisines poorly . Far better Korean- Westborough Korean and Japanese- Saka Hana less than 400 yards away. What really killed it was getting 6 oz of sake but being charged for 11 .When I complained the waitress gave some unintelligable excuse and handed me a glass with about 3 oz of sake to make up for the"error". Should have complained to the manager but why bother we were never going back there again.
Sapporo is one of my (and my husband's) favorite restaurants. We drive 25 minutes to go there and have taken almost everyone of our family members when they come visit. The food is delicious, the sushi fresh, and the korean sides are soooo good! We usually skip the Korean BBQ and order the Galbi on our own. It is one of our favorite. And the Bim Bim Bap stone bowl, korean tacos, and the new korean fajitas are delicious!
Our most recent trip to Sapporo was to celebrate, well recognize, my 74th birthday. We'd been away and actually missed the "free entree" (as a result of being on their EM list) offer by a few weeks. Analogous to last year when I didn't bring the EM invite...since it didn't have a bar code. (Duh...how were they supposed to know they had sent an invite I didn't have? Old people...%*)^&%$#.) Since the prior year offer had been graciously honored, I hoped the fact that we had been away would expand our redemption period. Sensitive and efficient customer service again came thru!
As their super server Pauline greeted us it felt like home...with the added fun of chop sticks! As we nursed our Mai tahi (s) and warm sake we entered the "Sapporo Zone". The always popular Korean side dishes got our taste buds activated. Our salmon and tofu meals were well prepared and offered distinctive tastes. These large and tasty entrees provided ample food for both the night and replay at home. It won't be long before return to the energetic care of Pauline and the service and consumption delights of Sapporo.
The food was excellent, with several creative, out-of-the-ordinary specials. My beef bulgogi was the best I've ever had. Though they were quite busy (7pm Saturday), our server was as attentive, friendly and helpful as if it was an afternoon service. She rocked it.
Great food as always (best hot and sour soup!), but service was poor. We waited 30min for drinks to come out and even filled our own water glasses with a near by pitcher as server was no where to be found.
We still love this place, but may stick to lunch buffet.
The food was great! Even my 2 young sons ate all their meals -
Worst service I have ever probably had. Waitress was very short and also forgot to put certain items of our order in AND then had the nerve to tell me she forgot but the kitchen was too busy to make what I wanted.
This restaurant never disappoints. We went on a busy Friday night and had amazing food, great service and everything was delicious! If you're worried about trying Korean BBQ, the menu is extensive and there's a lot to try out - from the less adventurous stuff to some really interesting dishes. Our group loved cooking meat at the table and the sushi was as fresh & delicious as I've ever had. The mixed drinks are fresh & delicious too.
Just ok for me... I'm not a devotee of Korean food so can't match it up to other places... just going by my taste. Food is well prepared, served hot. Goyza is ok. Fried pork wasn't for us. The Grilled Teriyaki Chicken was very good, our favorite. Service is fair as is atmosphere.
Central MA does not abound with good sushi options so it's good to have Sapporo as a solid - if not spectacular - option. We hadn't been here in a while and they appear to have changed the layout, for the better, but service is still a little bit hit or miss.
