I made the reservation through Open Table for Sapori for our anniversary. I noted in the remarks we were celebrating our anniversary, and it was not acknowledged at all. We were seated on the covered outdoor patio near the fireplace which was nice. Our server did his job, nothing special. He took our drink order, brought the drinks, took our appetizer order and rattled off the specials quickly so we barely heard what he said. He brought our wine and the meals were delivered. The food was very good, service was nothing special. We were a little disappointed. There are other wonderful restaurants in the area with fabulous service to celebrate an anniversary.

At last a good meal in Balboa. We are visiting from the UK. It’s our fourth visit and this probably the best meal we have had. Definitely should have tried them before. The shrimp and scallops pasta was delicious We will be back.

Our server, Roberto, was amazing! He suggested a seafood special with shrimp and scallops that was delicious and the carpaccio was equally wonderful. The service was a 10! Great atmosphere and friendly staff. We’ll be back soon!

"it's not just a Restaurant, it’s an Experience!" Everything about the meal was spectacular, from the first cocktails to dessert and the final after-dinner drinks. The food was outstanding, Delicious Authentic Italian Food. The service from Paolo and all his team were exemplary; they made the evening a fantastic experience. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. "Sapori, it's not just a Restaurant, it’s an Experience!" Definitely ranks in the top three meals in all of Orange County we've ever had. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Newport Beach, CA. Highly recommended.

Haven’t been to Sapori in a long time. Our mistake. Our meal and service was superior in every way. I forgot how fresh and good their pasta was. We will put this spot in our regular rotation of great places to eat.

We have not been here for a long time. I remember it being pretty good. We decided it was long overdue to go again so we did. On the plus side the drinks were poured well and the bread was great. I ordered the lasagna. It was somewhat disappointing. The sauce was right out of a jar and the pasta was overdone in my opinion. The Angel hair pasta dish had tomatoes that were pink and tasteless. We will go back again and try it again because we loved the service and setting. Hopefully it was just a bad night for us.

I ordered a martini. From my table I could watch the bartender mix the drink. When he poured it out of the mixing cup into the glass, he miscalculated the amount. He came up short. So he took the hose with all the mixes in it poured water in the martini until the glass was full. I should have called him out on it when it happened. The drink was terrible. I don't know if they are hurting for money, and they have resorted to watering down the drinks or what.

We were staying at the Vea Marriott and wanted to dine at an Italian restaurant nearby and this one was perfect! The Calamari appetizer was very lightly fried & satisfied our tastebuds. House Chanti was excellent, our pasta dishes were all wonderful. The crème brûlée put a nice ending to a great meal. We definitely want to return here next time we visit Orange County

Locals favorite, you can tell but nothing I couldn’t cook at home. Boiled Brussels sprouts and 2 potatoes cut in half next to about 4 oz of chicken smothered in cheese and sweet marsala wine. Not impressive in anyway. When I used the pepper grinder the mechanism broke so I had springs plastic and metal on my food. Would have taken the server up on a new meal but frankly it wasn’t good enough to waste the product . Still they charged for the entire thing. Very unremarkable

The food was so delicious. Our table was perfect. We chose the outdoor space. I put on the reservation notes that I was celebrating my husbands bday and they acknowledged him with a bday candle and ice cream. We definitely will be back. The drinks and food were phenomenal. We ordered the penne otero and lobster ravioli. Cleaned our plates clean

We had a really nice dinner at Sapori on Monday night. Our server, Massimo, was a delight and really made us feel like he cared. The pastas were delicious and the tiramisu was really great! His suggested red wine was a big hit too. We will be back again soon!
