Come to our restaurant in the early evening and watch a beautiful sunset while munching on some appetizers like our pan-fried shrimp and sipping on some Italian Sauvignon Blanc. For a main course try our Branzino fish with some sautéed vegetables. Then to finish off a delicious meal and a beautiful night try our Zabaglione with fresh strawberries and a pastry. Sapori Italian Restaurant – Marina del Rey Ratings and Reviews
The waterfront/sunset view was the draw for us. The service was seamless, although there was a little resistance to our using the deserted patio. (We had dressed for the evening chill.) The menu was exiting, and we ordered in excess, sampling all of the evening's specials. And it was the food and the tastes that led to our disappointment: nothing special at best.
Second time here, went for a date with my husband. Beautiful view of the Marina and very cozy and quiet. Authentic Italian food, the carpaccio was spectacular. One of my favorite dishes which I order often - my husband said Sapori's was the best he's ever had. Highly recommend, very cute space that feels undiscovered and tucked away.
Came from out of town to find a place that could accommodate a group of 15 of us at one big table outside by the water. Great placement, great food, great service, great time. Food was outstanding and the owner treated us like friends. Brought out two huge antipasto appetizer trays that were a great touch. Everything made for a perfect night. Great find.
This was our second time at Sapori. The service was not as attentive as during our first visit, even though we had the same waiter. There were four in our party; two ordered the duck. It was very disappointing: tough, uninspired, with a poor excuse for glaze. Should have sent it back. The farfale with chicken was excellent. The pasta with clams was fine. Servers need to warn customers about certain dishes here, or the Chef needs to make changes. The atmosphere is warm and friendly; being on the marina is very nice.
Brought my niece, and my dog, to this lovely waterfront Italian resto. They have a decent sized patio overlooking the channel - boats passing in the sunset - incredible. The owner was kind and service was terrific. I highly recommend the fried artichoke app - delicious! We shared the grilled salmon and a pasta dish with mushrooms and then had two desserts - a truly terrific meal with a gorgeous view!
This place packed people in like sardines. It was overpacked and understaffed. Service was very slow and not very attentive. Once we finally got our meals, the food itself was decent but not worth the whole experience. We wouldn't go back again, unfortunately.
The food was excellent. Two of us had the seafood mixed grill special and it was exceptional; nicely marinated and perfectly cooked. The grill was served with a salad and we ordered a side of pasta ..... Heaven.
They were very busy (both the inside and the patio were full) and for the most part the staff handled it very well ... Seems like they could have used one more person to handle the water refills, etc, but that little hiccup wouldn't stop me from recommending Sapori. The food is excellent, the staff are friendly and it is right on the water!
Delicious food, good place for conversation. We sat outside, but would have had a little better view inside, especially of the sunset (blocked by a yacht). There was a large group nearby, but they were well behaved. Overall, we were very happy to have chosen this place.
Hey We were forced to sit outside because of a large European group booked the inside tables - but we enjoyed the viewed of the Marina boats & the sunset ...the food was savory as always but the device was slow due to the large group
Overall a enjoyable evening with visiting foodies from

Sapori is near my home, it's quaint inside and just a pedestrian path from the sea wall and docks. We ate on the patio. Service was great and the food was very good, for the price.
FYI-Live music between Sapori and the neighboring restaurant, frequently, on summer weekends.
When we first arrived, we sat on the patio, which was very nice but windy (we weren't by the glass wall which helps keep the wind down). We requested to be reseated inside and they were completely accommodating. The food was excellent and we had a very nice time looking out at the Marina and taking a lovely after dinner walk.
I have been to Sapori several times - lunch, dinner. Have taken family & friends there & was always very pleased. I love the variety & quality of the food = always excellent And there has never been a feeling of having to hurry, even when the restaurant if full.. Much appreciated.- Will definitely be back again.
We enjoyed both the food and the setting. The location is on the waterfront. The food was good. My husband had baked lasagna and he really liked it. I had the salmon with grilled vegetables which was also very good. Our waiter was attentive and friendly although the kitchen was a little slow which wasn't a problem for us since we were in no rush. The strawberry and cream dessert that I had could have had more strawberries in it. When the owner came by and asked how our food was I mentioned this to him and he got a little defensive and said other customers always love it. Probably not the best response. Other than that I would recommend you try this restaurant.
We dont know the area but I really fancied Italian. After going on yelp I chose here, even though the reviews weren't brilliant! I am so glad we went here, some of the best pasta I have eaten in a long time. Great service great water views and a really good price! If we are back in this area I will come back for sure
Sapori chefs create consistently delicious dishes. We can always rely on the freshness of the ingredients, the tastiness of the sauces and the dependability of the food. It is a treat to eat there looking out at the boats skimming past in the marina. We split the burrata as an appetizer and I had the ravioli special. My husband had the risotto with wild mushrooms and giant prawns. All delicious. We shared a bottle of red wine and, ta da, a perfect evening.
