Sapori Italian Restaurant – Marina del Rey
Quality of food - veal sclopini and fish dish- were disappointing. Need a better chef
Great local spot on the marina. Good food, good ambiance.
Small pleasant Italian Restaurant with good food, excellent view and a nice quiet place for lunch away from the more crazy popular places in Marina del Rey
Great spot to meet friends , great wine, great food and nice to look on bay!
44 wedding anniversary / they didn’t recognize my anniversary at all but it was a nice evening
Loved this restaurant and it being my first time. The food and Prosecco was excellent. Will definitely go there since it's in my neighborhood.
We had reservations for 8:30 but there were no tables available until about 9:15. I was starving and looking on my phone for a different place to eat when we were finally seated. While we were waiting the manager or owner repeatedly came over to us and blamed the wait on diners who arrived late, without apologizing or offering anything. (Reservations are to help manage table seating, so it's management's fault -- NOT diners' fault -- that they allow so many people to be late-seated that reservation holders have to wait so long.) By this time I was already irritable ("hangry"). The very noisy environment added to my vexation. It was so noisy I eventually stopped trying to talk and listen to my dining partner. The food was good but not memorable. The salads were good and very attractive but large enough for 2 1/2 people. Nothing was said about this on the menu or by the servers. (The prices on the menu should have been a clue but I missed it.) The bread was very disappointing, airy slices without crust. For the main course I had the "square" (long and thick) spaghetti with seafood; I chose the tomato-based sauce. It was quite good and even better as leftovers the next day. I will not go back. If you do go, make early reservations so you'll eat when you want to and will be able to enjoy the view of the Marina (which of course we didn't have since it was dark).
Very quant, nice small atmosphere. Manager gets his hands "dirty." Authentic Italian food. View of boats on the water. Restaurant is one compact room, but gives you that real Italy vibe. Perfect for a date with a significant other. Highly recommend.
The food was good. Service and staff were unbelievably wonderful. Our waiter explained all foods that DID NOT have rosemary (my allergy) and brought a sundae with a candle in it for my sister's bday and it was such a happy surprise for her. Wonderful restaurant, clean, charming and we loved it!
Authentic Italian food, reasonably priced in an attractive setting overlooking the water. Good service from knowledgeable staff.
Sapori has become my getaway restaurant for those days when I take the red eye home to new York. It is always a satisfying meal, and the ambiance is terrific.
Wednesday's meal featured fresh made Rigatoni with Ossobuco sauce, with a fresh burratta and tomato appetizer. Delicious!
Though we've lived here in Marina Del Rey for over 20 years, neither my friend or I recall seeing this place before, much to our loss. Sapori is a quaint, lovely little authentic Italian restaurant in Fisherman's Village. Beautifully finished, it's cozy, comfortable and warm. The owner is a very nice Italian gentleman who helped through the wine list and the menu and everything, from the breaded shrimp appetizer to the chocolate mousse cake desert, was absolutely delicious. One caveat, the place is small during the winter months as they don't serve on the patio...make a reservation!
Been there a few times. The food was very good. A little hard to see the menu in the low lighting. Also, a little hard to hear due to lots of hard surfaces. Sounds like I am getting old. Those are the only negatives and I still recommend it for good Italian food.
I love this place -- the food, the location and the service.
My go to place before heading to LAX for the red eye home to New York.
Food is always amazing there. We wish we went more often!
Wonderful little hidden gem of a restaurant tucked into a quiet part of the Marina waterfront. Food was great, service was exemplary and great ambience. Also, has a parking lot which is always helpful in California. Not one of these trendy places -- just good solid Italian food in a nice atmosphere
Food was very good. Two of us had Veal Marsala which was delicious and tender. One of had roasted chicken dish.. very tasty. We also ordered Beet Salad which we enjoyed. Food was very authentic Italian with a lot of flavour. I’m Italian so I don’t always like eating out Italian but this meal was delicious!
Great Italian food even though the name sounds like it should be Japanese. We've been going there for years and never had a bad meal.
Office Holiday Lunch. Everyone enjoyed.
We do love this quaint Italian restaurant with a water view. Food and service always great. It was louder than usual Saturday night but most likely due to the holidays. 😊
our waiter was class all the way. house was packed. tables inside and right on the marina. beautiful.
Great food, well served and fairly priced. Nice view of the marina. What's not to like?
Hosted by Stefano, an intimate dining pleasure. Consistent personalized service, creative food dishes and warm atmoshpere
Friendly. Food great. Wonderful view
The best Italian restaurant in the Marina Del Rey area. Great food and service. Nice view of the marina. And on Sundays, you can sit outside and listen to live music in the afternoon.
Thank you Miguel and the owner who gave us a superb service. With regards to the food and ambience, as always ...it is excellent! That’s why we keep coming back with our visitors from different states and from Europe!
This restaurant has been there for a while, and it has never failed. It it's the only authentic Italian restaurant in the neighborhood. Fish pasta dishes and fish based main courses are my favorite.
The daily special, stuffed quail was fabulous. The service was very personal. We loved it.
We were there at lunch time and it wasn’t really busy so the service was excellent and the food was spectacular! We shared the muscles and clam appetizer . It was a large portion and really tasty . We then shared the Radicchio Salad with grilled shrimp - Delicious!
Good food with personal attention. I always get seafood here, so can't comment on anything else.
My girlfriend and I had a very delicious lunch and the service was good, we ate outside on the patio, it was 12 o’clock and was not busy yet on a Sunday! We had a long lunch but nobody was rushing us to get out of there which we appreciated.
Good flavored food items, just not sure if everything was prepared fresh to order. Pasta dish was a very basic tomato sauce with very little spice to it at all. Needed more Italian spices. Wife had the chicken dish which was very good.
The staff was very efficient and friendly. The excellent food just upped the level to an already great evening.
One of my favorite restaurants in LA and my go-to for special occasions and to make out of town guests happy and satisfied
We chose this restaurant because we had dined there previously on a few occasions. It was just as good as we remembered and although we sat inside, we might give outdoors a try next time. Delicious!
Grouchy host, not accommodating. Service was slow - big price - not big value. Won't be back.
Wonderful ambiance- ocean view in MDR. Service was great- just wish food was. My grilled Jumbo Wild prawns were medium sized at best and very difficult to take out of the shells bc so small. My husbands lobster risotto was average. But sitting outside with a view was worth it!!
It was wonderful. It was authentic Italian cooking! We were visiting from the East Coast and found this gem of a restaurant. Meal was freshly made, outdoor dining was beautiful.
