Friendly. Food great. Wonderful view
The best Italian restaurant in the Marina Del Rey area. Great food and service. Nice view of the marina. And on Sundays, you can sit outside and listen to live music in the afternoon.
Thank you Miguel and the owner who gave us a superb service. With regards to the food and ambience, as always ...it is excellent! That’s why we keep coming back with our visitors from different states and from Europe!
This restaurant has been there for a while, and it has never failed. It it's the only authentic Italian restaurant in the neighborhood. Fish pasta dishes and fish based main courses are my favorite.
The daily special, stuffed quail was fabulous. The service was very personal. We loved it.
We were there at lunch time and it wasn’t really busy so the service was excellent and the food was spectacular! We shared the muscles and clam appetizer . It was a large portion and really tasty . We then shared the Radicchio Salad with grilled shrimp - Delicious!
Good food with personal attention. I always get seafood here, so can't comment on anything else.
My girlfriend and I had a very delicious lunch and the service was good, we ate outside on the patio, it was 12 o’clock and was not busy yet on a Sunday! We had a long lunch but nobody was rushing us to get out of there which we appreciated.
Good flavored food items, just not sure if everything was prepared fresh to order. Pasta dish was a very basic tomato sauce with very little spice to it at all. Needed more Italian spices. Wife had the chicken dish which was very good.
The staff was very efficient and friendly. The excellent food just upped the level to an already great evening.
One of my favorite restaurants in LA and my go-to for special occasions and to make out of town guests happy and satisfied
We chose this restaurant because we had dined there previously on a few occasions. It was just as good as we remembered and although we sat inside, we might give outdoors a try next time. Delicious!
Grouchy host, not accommodating. Service was slow - big price - not big value. Won't be back.
Wonderful ambiance- ocean view in MDR. Service was great- just wish food was. My grilled Jumbo Wild prawns were medium sized at best and very difficult to take out of the shells bc so small. My husbands lobster risotto was average. But sitting outside with a view was worth it!!
It was wonderful. It was authentic Italian cooking! We were visiting from the East Coast and found this gem of a restaurant. Meal was freshly made, outdoor dining was beautiful.
The service today was accommodating and attentive. they took the trouble to cool the wine for me.
Parking is validated and there is plenty of room.
Awesome food. Great service, though they're a little understaffed. Only complaint is that it was a bit warm inside. Tight quarters and the patio doors closest to us were closed. Still highly recommend.
Loved it! Food was delicious. Service was great.
Great food and wonderful service. Try the Lemon ice in a Lemon for dessert - excellent
A little bit disorganized but that made them truly Italian. Very charming and great food.
Fisherman's Village is so wonderful and lunch at Sapori makes it even better.
Good food, friendly service and music on Sunday afternoons.
Our favorite way to spend a Sunday!
Excellent service, food and ambiance
I look forward to my next visit
We came across this place while staying near the airport before a flight. We were a family of 5 and they were very accommodating for our little one. The food was very good and the service was excellent. The prices were reasonable given the location. We would definitely go back and recommend this spot if you are.lookibg for good Italian by the marina.
Always consistently good, owner is on top of his restaurant,
We were a family of 5 from Toronto stuck waiting for 7 hours between flights from L.A. to Toronto. Knowing this, I booked a dinner reservation in advance to travel to Marina Del Rey for the late afternoon and evening and was hoping for a nice dining experience near enough to the airport. This worked out really well because the Uber was a short 15-20 minutes drive to Sapori and we were by the water and enjoying an authentic Italian dinner. The memories created to end our 2 week vacation were etched in memory for ever! We'd love to thank the staff and the chef for an amazing evening of dining. The food was delicious and authentic and the portions generous. The wine list was extensive enough. The desserts and coffee a terrific end to our meal. The staff were accommodating and friendly and polite. I would recommend Sapori to anyone who's visiting the area to pay a visit and enjoy all that the restaurant has to offer. Thanks again Sapori for helping us make a memory that will last forever! Hope to see you soon...
We often go to this lovely restaurant on the water in MDR. The food is great and the personal touch with service is amazing
Thought the service was lacking, the food was poor quality and the owner was extremely rude. I would highly recommend going somewhere else. I eat out all the time and was one of the worst Restuarants I’ve ever been too.
Very beautiful restaurant with a nice view and yummy food!
I was here for a business meal. There were 6 of us. 4 people really enjoyed their meal and 2 did not at all. The specials were incredible. We had the burrata prosciutto special appetizer. The salads were very bitter. Too much arugula and nothing to mellow that flavor. The grilled chicken was the best part of the salad even though it was quite dry. Everyone seemed to enjoy their pasta. Their house choice for Pinot Grigio was very nice. The patio view is on of the best the marina. The staff was attentive and accommodating.
Food was good and reasonably priced. Lasagna was excellent. I had the appetizer special -veal stuffed zucchini. It needed a sauce or more seasoning as I thought overall it was very bland.
Authentic Italian, very well ran with scenic marina view.
I had not been to Sapori in years and had good memories of it.The view of the marina is lovely and the decor is also attractive. It was very loud, even though it was half empty and other guests were not particularly loud-it is the acoustics. So, if you want to have conversation, this may not be the best restaurant for that. The bread was delicious and fresh. My salad was delicious and enough to split as an appetizer. My entree, a Agnolotti Tartufula, was also delicious and the perfect portion size. Unfortunately, my companions did not fare as well. One was warned by the waiter that her pasta dish was very cheesy and he was not exaggerating. It was very rich and she could only eat half of it. My other companion was brought the wrong entree and had to wait 10 minutes as we ate ours. The waiter apologized, but charged the full price, so we will not be returning.
We had a wonderful time and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating! I've been several times & look forward to visiting again soon!
We are now regulars here! We ALWAYS make it a date night stop when we are in Marina Del Rey! VERY authentic from the Italian elderly owner to the Italian staff! Great wine and great company!
Amazing quick service. Such good food!
We have dined at Sapori several times over the years, always for special occasions, and we have always been super happy about our choice. The food and service are both excellent. We usually are a group that includes (by now) middle schoolers all the way to grandparents, and we have always all been happy. The Marina location is, of course, very special, too. Definitely, recommend the place. We look forward to celebrating at Sapori again in the (hopefully near) future!
Some of the best Italian dishes around (you'd never know it but true)
Excellent food and excellent service. Your will feel welcome. Al special requests will be fullfilled. This is our favorite local Italian restaurant.
