Good food, great view and wonderful service - 4th time a friend and I have met there for dinner, probably go again in a few months. the seasonal specials are particularly interesting.
We were pleasantly surprised by the entire dining experience. None of our party of four had dined there. I can say very strongly that we will dine there again. We all ordered different items and to the person, the result was magnificent. We brought our own wine and the corkage charge was very reasonable.. The service was also excellent.
Fantastic home made Italian food with amazing views, a must go!
The perfect place for a relaxing and delicious lunch and/or dinner
Great service and great food. Fish and pasta spectacular as well as appetizers
Great service, food, and price! Wasn’t sure what to expect but loved the restaurant portions service and quality!
Very nice, intimate restaurant on the water with very attentive and professional staff. Food and wine were excellent. Moderate to high cost. Would definitely recommend to others for quiet dinner with friends.
We love this place---the Italian food is almost like grandma's , the owner is darling, the view of the harbor and boats is so peaceful especially at sunset. On warmer days the outdoor patio is like being on the seaside in Italy!
We love the porcini pasta dish and the other very authentic pastas. The fish was served beautifully, with crispy roasted potatoes. and the gelato delicious!!!
We think it is definitely worth the ride and its free parking.
We frequently go to this lovely restaurant for date night and love it each time. It is close to home, wonderful food and the best service... Miquel is always gracious and accommodating...we loo forward to having him at our table each visit.
Everything was lovely. It felt authentically Italian. We felt the food was a little over-salted, but would go back.
The ravioli with mushroom truffle sage sauce was light and delicious. I loved every bite. The pasta was perfectly homemade. The affogato dessert was very good but what can go wrong with espresso and ice cream? My service was impeccable.
Hidden jewel of a place in Fisherman’s Village at Marina Del Rey. Delicious Caesar salad and baked Lasagna simply delicious.
Excellent food, excellent service, we will be back.
Somewhat grumpy, inattentive service. Unremarkable food, dry (warmed) lower quality bread. Antipasto misto a collection of vegetable pieces with a few sad cheese cubes. Average at best pasta dishes. Compared to the many excellent Italian restaurants in Los Angeles, this one cannot compete.
Had a very pleasant meal at Sapori's. Everybody had something different and we all enjoyed out meal. Great views of the marina. Would recommend to anyone.
What a lovely evening, service was great -
I especially enjoyed the number of menu choices with my favorite ingredients: artichokes, asparagus, crab meat, filet of sole, sun dried tomatoes, all in classic Italian preparations!
We'll be back!
Food and service were excellent as usual. Can't go wrong here. My favorite restaurant in LA. A delightful little gem💎
Great restaurant. Friendly; consistently terrific dinners.
The Staff was excellent and some of the best food every. The Owner continued coming over to the table making sure you were taken care of. Special Place
Dinner for my 21st birthday! Was very good food, music choice was a little weird (country) but the rest was great.
Sapori is a great place to get delicious italian food without all the overpriced hype or “cool” trendy ratings. Been living in this neighborhood for over 50 years and am grateful to have a place like Sapori to get a great Italian dinner without making reservations a month in advance or breaking the bank. Plus who can complain being on the water and being treated to great service and a good meal with plenty of free parking.
Food was good as usual, however, the service was much slower than on other occasions. It seemed as if they might have been understaffed that evening as it was not up to its usual standard.
I have loved and continue to love Sapori. Been coming here for almost 10 years. It is consistently excellent. Do yourself a favor and go!
The Marina was fogged during most of the dinner, but we could see what a great vantage point that the restaurant would be for very good food with a Marina ambiance.
This is a great place for delicious food, excellent service and perfect view!
New year eve
On New Year's Eve, Sapori Italian Restaurant was understandably chaotic and very busy. The restaurant was fully booked for the evening. The noise level was loud enough to make dinner conversations almost a shouting match. The waiter was friendly, but I felt that I was rushed to place my orders. There was a limited conversation when discussing the menu items that were written in Italian. The appetizer ordered was the Gamberi Ala Milanese which is a shrimp and crab mixture that is breaded with a lot of breadcrumbs and served on a scallop shell. The first thing you taste is the breadcrumbs, then you eventually can see a sparse of crab meat and baby shrimp. For the main course, there was Tonnarelli Pescatore and a supposed ravioli in a lobster sauce on the special menu. The Tonnarelli Pescatore had all the right ingredients that consisted of calamari, shrimps clams & mussels. The taste was bland and slightly acidic. The was no taste of lobster in the ravioli that was underwhelming. I think this meal was cooked by Chef Boyardee, at least that what it tasted like. For dessert was a Tiramisu. The taste was just okay. There was no trace of rum in the taste and it tasted more chocolatey than normal. All the aforementioned together with 1 glass of bad tasting house sparkling white wine and a bottle of Sole water and 1 cup of coffee. The total bill came out to be $124. I could have gotten a better tasting equivalent dinner at my local informal family Italian restaurant for more than half of what I paid. Maybe there are other items that are better. Unfortunately, I won't be back to try them.
Lovely waterfront dinner. Carpaccio was delicious as was the risotto.
Very Nice! Food is good, service and atmosphere awesome and reasonably priced, with a great view of the Marina. Will definitely be back!
One of my favorite neighborhood spots!
Thank you, Stefano & Miguel for taking care of us while there was a very large dining party going on the same table time we were dining (party of 3)!
Sapori is a great spot for Italian food in Marina del Rey. Owner Stephano is there most every evening and has a staff of warm and knowledgeable servers. We enjoy the warmth of the restaurant even though it is bright and cheery on summer evenings with all the windows on the west side of the restaurant that looks out to the water. The outdoor patio is great in the summertime. Food is simple great Italian food, fish and seafood always good too. We enjoy the food and experience every time we visit the restaurant which if once a month.
Really good high quality food
I am a regular patron and the Sapori staff always accomodate my special requests (I am vegetarian) deliciously.
Sapori never fails to bring a smile to your face and amazing meal to your table. I’ve told friends to go and to order the special regardless of what it is. I took my own advice and we had an outstanding Osso Bucco and also a very spectacular Venison ragout.
Rounding out the meal was a Tiramisu that all others should be judged against - perfection.
Sapori is a great place for a meal with the family or an intimate date. Don’t miss it.
The waterfront/sunset view was the draw for us. The service was seamless, although there was a little resistance to our using the deserted patio. (We had dressed for the evening chill.) The menu was exiting, and we ordered in excess, sampling all of the evening's specials. And it was the food and the tastes that led to our disappointment: nothing special at best.
Second time here, went for a date with my husband. Beautiful view of the Marina and very cozy and quiet. Authentic Italian food, the carpaccio was spectacular. One of my favorite dishes which I order often - my husband said Sapori's was the best he's ever had. Highly recommend, very cute space that feels undiscovered and tucked away.
Great food and service. Sapori never fails. Consistently good cuisine. Excellent wines.
Slow service, food was good, but had made reservation via Open Table and asked for a patio/outdoor seating and found out that the management does not even look at the request. Go figure?
We’ve been there many times. Nothing is inspired or that great. What the menus describes isn’t what you necessarily get. Love the location
