Sapore has been a family favorite for many years. Consistently good service + imaginative menu items.
The menu for daily specials adds a variety of items for regular diners. Fun spot for weekday special lunches + cozy, comfortable venue for dinner.
This was our second time at Sapore. The food is very good, but with service being so slow, it was hard to enjoy the dining experience. Also the noise level was off the charts.
Sapore provides good value, well-prepared food and attentive service. We go there for lunch many times and are seldom if ever disappointed.
A good Italian restaurant that stands out, in a town full of them. I don’t usually go to Italian restaurants, because I find them typically uninteresting, following a formula. But Sapore is different - a smaller space, efficient and relaxed service, good wine, wall art of Italian scenes, good food. They have all the usual Italian meals, that are great, and add some choices outside the norm. If you want the Caesar salad, fettuccini bolognese, it’s here! If you want something a little different, it’s hrre too.
We have been to Sapore many times over the last few years and were very disappointed with the service. We had to wait well over an hour for our dinner after ordering. The food was very good, but the wait was not acceptable.
Good authentic Italian food for the family. Good flavour portions and value.
The gnocchi gorgonzola was great and so was the spinach and cheese ravioli
Absolutely superb, we will be back I’m certain!! The food was fabulous, the service was impeccable and the menu selections were absolutely perfect!
Excellent food, great service, and not too pricey. We had kid's with us and they had a kid's menu that made it perfect for a family!
Food was delicious. Waiter was just okay.
We stay at the San Francisco airport Marriott waterfront hotel whenever we travel out of SFO. This restaurant is a short drive from the hotel and we always eat here the night before flying out. We generally have friends meet us here as well. It’s consistently excellent Italian food (and authentic).
Birthday - no candle nothing. Had to go to bar to get our drinks as service was horrible.
Had to ask for water refill. No one checked in on us.
Bread was great!
As there are a lot of Italian restaurants in the are I probably won’t go back and would not recommend it to anyone.
Food was mediocre for price.
I love this restaurant, I had business meeting lunch, dinner with my colleagues, dinner with friends. I recommend to many diplomat friends, the food is great.
But on the 6/17/18, I was very angry with the service, the waiters/waitress took our foods and put it on a wrong table! but after sometime the other table told them that it was not their food, so they brought it to our table.
Imagine? When it came to our table was already cold, I was about to react very angry but for the sake of my family I stoped myself. Then When I want to pay for my bill, asked three people and waited for all most an hour very bad...
Delicious food, service is very professional and Elio the owner makes everyone feel so
We love it! Our friends do too!
Catering is an added bonus!
Keep it up!
Bland tasting food, including spaghetti, pizza, calamari. Service failed as server was unattentive. Upstairs was hot, dark, poor ambiance. One of the worst restaurants ever!
When traveling, one way to tell if a restaurant is good is by how many locals are eating there. From what I could tell, we were the only non-locals at Sapore the night went! The staff and the customers seemed to know each other very well, which I feels says a lot.
The food was delicious! Came out piping hot, obviously freshly made. Great selection - beyond the typical Italian restaurant choices, which I greatly appreciated.
Pasta sauces are so delicious never disappointed
Great food and great friendly service🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒
Good Dirty Martinis! And Eggplant Lasagna. The upstairs is pretty nice to sit and people watch.
This is a wonderful place in Burlingame
Great, delicious meal. Ordered pasta Rustica, very flavorful and filling.
Great food and great service
went at an odd time. 2pm. Place was empty, but food was great!
I travel here for work, but it’s one of my favorite places to eat. The hardest thing when traveling is not being able to take some home
Excellent spinach stuffed ravioli. Disappointed in the “folded pasta sheet” stuffed with”vegetables.” Only vegetable was mushrooms and sauce was very bland.
Love this place a little hard to get reservations. They have a great bartender and the
food is always wonderful
Excellent service. Friendly staff
Hard to beat for excellent home made pasta specials, attentive but not intrusive service and a very congenial atmosphere!
Had a reservation on Valentine’s Day that I had made many hours prior to arriving for our dinner. Couldn’t even get past the giant line of people that were cramped in the doorway to talk to a host. When I finally forced myself ahead he said it was going to be a 30 minute wait. We left.
Had to wait a bit but it was Valentine's Day. Great Waiter and great food.
Location is perfect on Burlingame Ave.
Check it out for good Italian.
One of our go to restaurants.. Ambiance, Food Service all excellent.
Authentic home-made Italian cuisine wonderfully prepared with excellent, not intrusive service!
Veal was very good. Would prefer with served with ravioli/pasta vs. potato
So disappointed. Lunch crowd was small, yet the service was terrible. Waiter acted like he was doing a favor waiting on us. Lunch prices a bit high as well.
Noisy and a lot of traffic through the dining area
Have to admit we didn’t have a great first experience. I asked for a quiet table and we were seated dead center in a noisy restaurant. Started off with a mixed up drink order (beer and Cabernet, not Chardonnay). Then the wrong salads were delivered. Lastly we got the wrong bill! No apologies just craziness. The menu was changed for New Years Eve but not forecast online. Very expensive for ok food and little atmosphere and mediocre waitstaff.
Main course came before the appetizers. Therefore we cancelled the order for the appetizers. It took to long for the food to get to our table, same for several tables. Service just took too long.
Been here many times, always good food. Service level was off tonight, perhaps due to the holidays
Very good Italian food - and our waiter Oscar was pleasant and efficient and also made a great recommendation on the pasta dish
