Disappointing. Been here a number of times and today was a let down. Food preparation was NOT up to their typical standard. Off night I hope. Service was also irreverent and we felt unappreciated. Second time the greeter at the door says they don’t have our open table reservation. And the look on their face seems to say they aren’t thrilled we are here. Too many good options elsewhere to feel unwelcomed here.
Food is excellent however feel they rush to turn tables delivering food to fast
Lovely but too rushed, quality not quantity of service please. We came by taxi from the airport especially to visit and wanted a relaxed dining experience.
We will be back though.
Best Italian restaurant!
Buen lugar y muy buena cómida!!
Delicious pasta and excellent atmosphere - loved it!
Overall excellent. Only drawback: To much noise that didn´t allow for a normal conversation to take place
My wife and I had dinner on a Saturday. The restaurant is a small place, and it was packed. So much so, that you basically end up sharing tables with strangers. Because it is so full, the restaurant is very loud, preventing you from having a conversation without shouting. My wife had the halibut special, which was fine, but not great. I had the seafood pasta which, which was over cooked, and the calamari was so chewy it was inedible. The servers were very attentive and friendly, but not overbearing, which made the experience more enjoyable. There must be some magic to this place because it was packed with a line out the door. Our experience, though, was very average.
I was recommended the special for the night, filet mignon and it was the worst steak ever otherwise other food was fine. No salt or seasoning, it was tasteless and expensive.
Amazing! I don’t want to give this review! We will never get a table again! The best in Coconut Grove hands down.
Phenomenal food, great owner/hostess. Their signature baked pasta with truffles is unmissable. Great little place for a romantic meal or cozy business dinner. Best Italian I’ve had in Miami.
Best pasta I've ever had. And I've been all over Italy
Extremely salty Pasta, and expensive.
The service was great!
Absolutely delicious, the service was fast and the host/owner is very gracious and welcoming!
A hole in the wall restaurant located in coconut grove. I’ve traveled to Italy and this restaurant somewhat resembles a restaurant in Italy. The ambiance is that of an oceanic type, with some outdoor tables. The tables inside are somewhat tight, you may bump into someone at another table; but it’s intimate. The food was good, but overrated and over priced. It was a nice first time coming here and I do recommend for you to try it at least once, but in my humble opinion, this restaurant is a little overrated.
My family love the restaurant even the little ones
Everything we ate there - my wife had pasta and I had a delicious branzino - was so good - and the service was so good and caring - we came back the very next night. We've never done that before in any restaurant we've eat in here in Miami. And it was just as good (maybe even better) the second night as it was the first. The person who recommended it to us - who is a chef/owner of a local French restaurant was in Miami for a week looking for good Italian food - and ate there three times in a row. Go. Try it. It's so good, so delicious, and such a pleasant place to eat, It will become a habit. Like it is with us.
I’ve been here a few times and it’s always fantastic. Hands down best Italian food in the area. Especially love the homemade pastas.
The pasta tartuffo pecorino is not in the menu but is delicious!!! Veryyyy recommended
Wonderful choice. The food is excellent, if anything, a bit too copious.
Best meal ever. Fig ravioli, carpaccio with artichoke, olives and roasted tomatoes!!!
Great neighborhood spot with terrific service and excellent authentic Italian seafood
The Sapore Di Mare food and service are outstanding. I love this restaurant !
Great food and service
We absolutely love every dish served there! We’ve been several times, and their quality of food and service is consistent. Love it!
The pasta was very salty (pecorino pasta with truffles)
The best italian food in South Florida
Truly a special dining experience. You will not have a bad meal and the service and ambiance is terrific. Highly recommend.
Un excelente restaurante italiano, muy pequeño pero sin duda regresaria. Todos los platillos fueron deliciosos y la atencion buenisima ademas de que los precios son muy adecuados para el tipo de platillos.
Excellent; great food and service
A friend could't wait to bring me here to share the cacio y pepe and it was truly remarkable. Just writing about it now makes my mouth water. Service was attentive (but not irritatingly so) and very friendly. Intimate place without feeling cramped. Can't wait to go back!
Delicious dinner with friends! Highly recommend reservations as it’s a small restaurant
One of our favorite places since the opening.
Veronica and Augustine are fabulous hosts
Parker and David Stone
I love the food the atmosphere the service...love it
A Grove favorite. Veronica makes sure that the energy is fun, upbeat and positive . The staff will customize dishes/ingredients and they're focused on providing an excellent dining experience. The pastas are delicious- especially the cacio e Pepe with truffles. Start with octopus or the burrata. Save room for the lemon cake.
Amazing food and service highly recommended
Marvelous. The service was great. Food, no words! Excellent!!!
Great Meal and service was timely and knowledgeable about the menu
Delicious food, warm ambiance, and attentive service, in a cozy atmosphere make Sapore Di MARI a wonderful neighborhood restaurant!
