We love going to Santorini - great food, fun decor, all around great evening every time!
Easy to access, safe neighborhood, easy to get a reservation, good food, nice staff.
Great as always!
I ordered the Lake Superior whitefish grilled. It came in a huge layer of oil/fat and I suspect it was pre-frozen. Service decent but not as attentive as it usually is. Valet parking a plus
Fish was tasteless and poorly presented. Waiter brought the soup to one diner, but not the appetizer or salad to the other two. Had to get up and find the waiter (restaurant was empty) and he said that he thought they wanted them with their entree. What?
Always fun to make a stop at this Greek Town tradition.
Wonderful setting for a good meal. A bit too much salt on to many things.
Bathrooms need remodeling to keep up with the high standard of atmosphere in restaurant!!
Needs a scrub
The seafood was great as was the Combination platter. The seafood was fresh and flavorful. Service was a little slow but staff is very personable. Enjoyed the meal and the value for fresh seafood was great! Fresh red snapper was delicious.
We had a great time here. The service was great ,fun relaxed atmosphere. We shared a bunch of dishes between the five of us .All were delicious ,and reasonably priced. Would go back again.
It was empty. Food was overpriced and mediocre. Bathrooms were pretty gross.
One order had to be sent back because it was cold; the other order’s meat was very dry and not too warm.
Food needs a lot of work. Grilled salmon came drowned in oil, steamed vegetables had no seasoning and grilled mushrooms were poorly done. Would not go there again.
My meal was very good, not exceptional, though. But, our server, Jesus, was simply wonderful!!!!!! He was extremely polite, friendly and helpful!!!! He make our first time visit special!!!!!
Our daughter and her husband along with my wife and myself had a wonderful experience at Santorini restaurant. The valet attendants were cordial and welcoming. Opening the doors for the ladies and
greeted us with smiles. Our server was well informed of the menu. Did not rush us but was attentive to our needs. He gave us all of his attention. Keenly aware in anticipating our desires for a wonderful time.
I apologize, but I did not remember his name. We were there Saturday 18th and our reservation was for 3:45 pm. He did thou have a special watch given to him by his brother. The watch had a flashlight in it if that helps to describe him. Excellent member of your staff. The dinner was excellent!!! The one and only item I was displeased about was the vegetables. I ordered steamed vegetables. Broccoli
and cauliflower were steamed but the carrots served were hard and not steamed. It may seem petty, but I love my vegetables. Otherwise we had a wonderful time. We had dinner across the street but I prefer to return to your restaurant if Greek cuisine were suggested.
Service was very good, food was very good. Sat at a table in front of the fireplace while the guy was building a fire which was very nice. Overall a great experience
I like Greek food once every few months, but I am not familiar with all of the different dishes. The servers are always friendly and respond to all of my queries "mainly about the menu."
Great lunch or dinner place for a couple or large family. Delicious dinners prepared with family recipes. Like the decor since it makes you feel like you are on the Santorini island.
Friend from the suburbs came into the Union Station and we met for lunch. Perfect location for both of us. The valet parking was a big help since I drove in from the South Side of Chicago
Despite the fact that this place has decent value for what they are serving, I found the service to be extremely lacking. Speaking for my entree, it was served cold and the waiter was extremely hard to find to remedy the situation. Further, when my dish was returned it was marginally better. The strong points were the staff who filled water glasses and the bread was free flowing. I understand that the holidays are busy for restaurants but patrons deserve decent service at any time. We weren't even given menus at our table and had to tell the waiter when he came to take our order. We were a table of 7! Unlikely that I will return.
The restaurant was 1/2 full and the host attempted to seat us next to a bussing station in a tight booth. We moved to the booth next to it to have a bit more room and avoid the traffic at the bussing station. Our waiter often took long breaks between checking on us. Our grilled octopus was Luke warm as was the Greek chicken and the green beans. And, on a To Go order for a family member who stayed home, they did not put bread in the bag. When we asked about it, they said they ran out. Really? A 1/2 full restaurant on a Monday night and they ran out of bread. I don’t think so. Miraculously, they produced a small chunk of bread as we were leaving. The food was just ok, nothing that wowed is. Chicago has too many other great restaurant choices. This was not quite mediocre. We won’t go back.
Not very good. Tons of food but it was served sloppily and the restaurant is dirty. Won’t go back
I loved everything about our experience. Great food, great wine, great service.
Great food, consistent experience. A real Chicago landmark. Will be there again and again.
Our server wasn’t good. He kept rushing us, was impatient with us the entire time and made a nice holiday dinner with our family feel very stressful. He clearly didn’t want to be working there and he couldn’t even pretend to care about providing good service.
Food was great. Service was horrible. They did not even get my reservation right and had to change tables after sitting our group down. Could not get a drink and even our water went dry. Very loud to where you could not talk across the table.
Food is excellent and ambiance is nice, but restaurant will not split checks for parties! Made it unnecessarily difficult.
Very nice dinner
Pre-show dinner with new friends. Told them we had mobility issues but got seated in back of restaurant up a few stairs. Food was good but lamb crepe was pasta not crepe.
Everything about our experience was perfect. Though we were rushing to make a show, the waiter bent over backwards to make sure the food arrived on time without rushing us through each course. All the food was first-rate, from the saganaki, to the village salad, through all the entrees.
I love this restaurant. But, I ordered a piece of fish and a salad and my waiter charged me for a full fish dinner ($27) plus a side salad ($6.50). He did not charge me for my coffee so I guess he thought that would make up for it. Next time I will just stick with the menu.
It had been a few years since my last visit. I brought two ladies I work with for a holiday lunch. The restaurant shows its age a bit, but the atmosphere is warm and the service was professional and helpful. Everyone enjoyed their food, commenting that everything was tasty and nicely prepared. For me it was an excellent black sea bass cooked on their lump charcoal grill. Perfectly moist, some olive oil and lemon on it, expertly deboned at the table by the waiter. The grilled fish alone is the best reason to visit this restaurant. And the serving was large enough to save half for my wife for dinner! Prices were reasonable and the free valet parking was very handy.
Wonderful people. Great food. Every dish was extremely flavorful and the portions are generous.
