I really enjoy going to santornis. In fact my friends and I have done a yearly tradition to go there at least once every summer. The food is always amazing. Not to mention the great withers, we've had the same waiter twice now and he remembers us from last time!
The seating is a little close, but it's not terribly uncomfortable. The noise level is moderate. It's definitely a place for groups of people to gather, enjoy a nice bottle of wine, and just talk!
Overall the food is a bit pricy, but it's definitely worth it once you see the portion size! It's a must to start off with saganki, because the show the put on is awesome!
I love to try new things when I go to the same restaurant. the chicken gyro is amazing, the Slovakia is absolutely perfect, and the chicken oregano was fabulous!
However, this time I had the lamb chops and though the few bites I had were good; I felt most of it was inedible. There was more bone than meat. I got maybe 5 good bites from the three small pieces. Definitely not worth the $24 dollars. I felt if I paid more for vegetables (which I didn't mind eating at all).
But the night was saved because we always order the chocolate ganache cake (probably the best dessert they have) and our funny waiter!
Fabulous lunch with friends. I LOVE the tilapia platter. Wonderful grilled veggies with a mild and lovely fish. So much food I always have to take some home. Service is professional and attentive. We felt very welcomed. We will be back! Nice value at lunch, too!
Can be loud at times. Food is great. Beware of the weekend belly dancer. Kids love it. Flaming cheese constantly being served. Beer selection is very weak.
We met another couple to have dinner. I made reservations but it wasn't very busy so I didn't necessarily need them. The food was very good. The table was almost too small for the amount of food we had. The pitas that come with the appetizer are the best I've ever had. The beer was nice and cold. We all had a gyro and it was yummy, it came with rice, potatoes and green beans and a Greek salad to start it off. The servings are very big here. I brought half my gyro home and had it for lunch the next day, it was still very good. My favorite Greek restaurant!
This is our go-to for awesome Greek food and service. Great for large groups, love that they take reservations via OpenTable. Also impressive that having a group of 10 really didn't slow the service time. We will definitely be back!
We have gone there three separate times and each time we have had a marvelous experience. Great family dinner. Food and service is great
Table for 4. Service was very good and very quick. Appetizer then salad then dinner with drinks in between . Plenty of sizzle and appetizers blazing all around and belly dancers too. Overall good time.
LOVED LOVED LOVED the night...great staff and food.....definitely coming back with other family and friends...Staff even got me my favorite wine not on the list...perfect!!!!!!
We had a wonderful time! The food was fabulous, and the service we received by Desa was probably the best we have ever received anywhere!
I have made 5 trips to Indianapolis for the Indy 500. We found the Santorini on the first trip and it is a permanent stop on the annual trip. Great food - especially the seafood and lamb.
This is a great place for a noisy festive evening of flaming saganaki, belly dancers, great Greek food and wine and go-boxes for lunch the next day. Not for a quiet romantic evening.
Best Greek food in Indy. A family favorite, much requested when kids return to visit. Always friendly service and fun atmosphere. Just go!
It was a fantastic experience. We were seated immediately and had a super helpful server. The food was great and served in a timely manner. We will definitely will return.
Lovely lunch. I love the tilapia platter. Mild, lovely fish with rice, veggies, potatoes, and salad. Can't beat this deal and it's amazing! Reasonably fast if it's lunch, definitely do-able! Very nice, elegant treat.
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Love this restaurant!
Excellent every time. Food and service outstanding as always.
Santorini is a regular requirement when craving Greek! On this very busy Saturday eve ( mothers Day) our group found the restaurant full. But true to form, they were adequately staffed and timely with the food delivery. Although I expected that as busy as they were the food prep may suffer. Not to be...every dish ordered was properly prepared and perfect temperature. Hats off to a job well done!
The place for Greek food. We have been to Greece 5 times and this is pretty authentic. Even serve Mythos beer. It's a family atmosphere. Big plates and lots of food. Good choices. Wait staff is usually family. Very authentic. A favorite for our family.
Everything was delicious and the server handled us very well considering how many tables she handled. Of course the restaurant was just packed and they sat us immediately and fed us just as quick.
I enjoy the brightness of the blue decor, and I love the flaming cheese. It's a fun place with the bonus of good food.
Last visit was a Friday night around 7:30 pm and they were slammed as expected. We were seated at a very small table in their main dinning room, against a window. Our server made eye contact several times but didn't so much as say hello or bring us any drinks. We waited roughly 20 minutes of being ignored before leaving. Greek Isle's food is much better and service much nicer. We won't be back.
Great food and you get a lot for the price. Food is always hot and very delicious..always look forward to dining here.
Our waiter - Steve - helped us pick out some really delicious dishes! A really fun experience
Such great service and amazing food!!
I've always loved Santorini's, even back when they were in their small space on Shelby St. where they started. I don't know why we don't go here more often. The food is always delicious (I had the saganaki, spanokopita, and galaktoboriko), the service is great, and it's just a wonderful restaurant. Our server, Bill, even recognized the friends we were with who used to live in Indy and were just visiting for the evening. Kid-friendly, they do have a kid's menu, so there's no reason to say you can't go out for good food with your whole family! The flaming cheese (saganaki) kept my kids entertained! Jeannette is almost always in the front of the house welcoming people and she is so friendly and gracious. There are great restaurants opening up around Indy, but sometimes you just gotta go home to places like Santorini's!
Santorini has good food in abundant quantity for a decent price. I had the chicken gyro platter which means a small salad, Greek potatoes, and green beans come with the entree. The service was pleasant and attentive. The gyro was really good. The salad had a lot of flavor, but was a little heavy handed on te dressing. The potatoes were cooked properly, but the balance of garlic and citrus was definitely heavier on the garlic side. The beans had a good flavor, but were a bit overcooked. So, overall, it was a pleasant dining experience for lunch, but not anything exceptional.
The server was fabulous. Explained the menu items and was appropriately attentive. The food was fantastic! The price was on the high end of moderate, but worth every penny! The belly dancer was fun and several groups were celebrating events. A fun atmosphere!
We think this is The best Greek restaurant in Indianapolis.
I celebrated my birthday with family and friends. The waiter was fabulous and the food was great. Worth going a crossed town for.
We were seated right away, despite the pretty big lunch crowd. Our server did a good job, but He was definitely stretched thin between all the tables he was taking care of. Food was excellent! I had a sampler plate because I couldn't decide. Everything on the plate was good, and I had enough to take home and have another meal. Prices were very reasonable too, for a party of 4 for lunch the bill was a little over $50
Great place for large groups. food was fantastic!
I ordered. Tanguary and tonic and it was wrong -either club soda or no syrup in the tonic. I asked the tonic be checked. The owner claimed the tonic was good and the bad drink was returned. I tried it again and refused it asking for a glass of wine. The owner would not credit our check for the drink! I believe our waiter had to pick up the drink cost!
Unbelievably poor customer service by the owner!
Very good Greek food. I think that this is for certain the closest thing to authentic Greek food that I have experienced in the Indianapolis area. I will go back.
Great food and our waiter was fantabulous! Had a wonderful time at Santorini's Friday night!
Bill B our waiter was friendly attentive and extremely professional. We thoroughly enjoy every aspect of our lunch experience. Food recommendations were spot on. We are planning on another visit.
We we're celebrating several birthdays and a party of 12. Not to mention Valentine's Day. My husband wanted to do a champagne toast and they did not have enough bottles in house so the owner ran out and got us more. It is almost unheard of in this day and age and was MOST appreciated! OPA!
We found Santorini's by accident when we visited Indianapolis over Valentine's weekend and had not thought about how busy restaurants would be. So we looked at Open Table to see where there might be reservations still available and found Santorini's. This place at first glance might cause some to keep driving and not stop. It's at the edge of a neighborhood that appears to be declining. We were impressed with the service we received. I had eaten some Greek food before but my husband had not. The server was very knowledgeable about the dishes and was quick to recommend some of his favorites as well as a great wine. The food was delicious and the atmosphere fun. I would definitely return again to enjoy this hidden gem!!
We got the 3 starter combo (falafels, dolmas, and the eggplant) all were delicious. The eggplant was especially a favorite so we ordered it got the main course along with moussaka, lamb, veggies, and casserole. Their house wine was tasty too!
Santorini has been a favorite for years. Great food served family style, we never leave hungry and usually take home leftovers. We feel like family here.
Food was excellent and service was second to none. I will highly recommend this superb restaurant to my fellow colleagues from the Screen Actors Guild. Job well done Santorinis Greek kitchen.
