The food at Santina likewise takes inspiration from the Italian Riviera, pulsing with bright and refreshing flavors with a gluten-free menu that highlights lighter dishes focusing on vegetables and fish. Santina's signature cecina, spaghetti blue crab and bass agrigento showcase its ability to integrate Italian coastal cuisine with modern culinary sensibilities.
Santina was named one of the best restaurants of 2015 by The New York Times, GQ and Bon Appétit, amongst other publications.
At Santina, it’s always summer.

What Insiders Are Saying
There were exactly zero restaurants we enjoy hanging out in Meatpacking until Santina arrived. Now there’s one.
Good place to eat the food is good. Staff is very responsive.
Excellent restaurant. Great menus, all food items were delicious. Great gluten free menu (3 in family have Celiacs). Staff were late with one persons meal and seemed to take a while between visits to table. Otherwise would have rated 5 starts. We will return and would recommend this restaurant.
Overpriced food that isn’t nearly anything like real Italian food. Shouldn’t call themselves an Italian restaurant. Flavors and food combinations are not “coastal Italian”. Truly disappointing.
I was so excited to check out this place, it had been on my to-go list for a while! Brought friends and finally went for my birthday the hostess was extremely rude. We had a reservation and they held us for 10 minutes and then just gave us a table that had already been open the whole time? And when I asked about another table in the back that was open she was extremely rude. You’ll probably fit in if you bring your luxury handbag or your diamonds, not sure what was up with the hostess. The server wasn’t the best but was very kind and gave us a complimentary drink after messing up the drink order and gave me a complimentary birthday dessert. Flavors in the food were fun. Overall interesting experience, maybe just be prepared for them to be really disorganized and rude.
A great gluten free menu. Good service experience and location.
Perfect for a romantic dinner for two! Great music, great ambiance, great set up.
I would never recommend this restaraunt to anyone. The foods was experimental at best, but lacked any interesting tastes or flavors. The octopus and squash were straight up bad so we canceled our main course. The decor looked beautiful from outside, but inside felt cheap and lack-luster. I expected this place to be really good but ended up extremely disappointed. There are so many amazing restaraunts in nyc don’t waste your time at this one.
Really enjoyed all the food. Service was great
I love this place! Really felt like I was in Positano. The staff was awesome and let us sit awhile without judging us out. The lobster arrabiata was to die for.
The crudité appetizer was best I’ve ever seen and tasted!
Great food and service!
Had a great time here. The restaurant is beautiful, our server was super nice/helpful, and the food was great. Went for brunch and got cocktails ($18, pricey but good) and got the frittata verde as well as the shrimp frittata. Would definitely recommend to a friend and would definitely return for dinner.
Just ok - we went here for brunch and were underwhelmed by the overall experience. Could have just been the day, but definitely will look to other locations in the future.
Service was AWFUL. I had a 5:30 reservation. The doors of the restaurant open at 5. They wouldn’t let me family sit and wait at the bar so they just stood around waiting to be seated. Finally they let guests sit at the bar.
We checked in about our table 5 times, and they kept saying a few more minutes. It didn’t seem like there was anyone managing the restaurant. very disorganized.
I was really excited about going to Santina. If you have a hankering for watered down Italian food, this is your spot. I find it to be a pricey version of what I remember about Olive Garden- sans breadsticks and bottomless salad.
The meal was delicious, and great service. Excellent location right under the south entrance to the “Highline” and just around the corner from the “Whitney” museum.
Do not miss the homemade zucchini muffins. They’re small, so don’t be dumb like us and get just 1 for 4 people!
Frittatas were very good, but the star of the lunch wound up being the mimosas - best ever!!!!
Beautiful indoor tented dining room with lots of windows. Staff was very attentive. Cocktails were great, food was good, would have loved less spicy food choices. Will go again soon
Amazing! Best brunch
Used to be great but food has deteriorated dramatically, don’t get it
An Italian restaurant with no flour!
Everything was great except for the price of the drinks were very overpriced.
Always incredible. Love all the flavors they combine in their dishes. And the drinks too!
Great food - fun location just off the High Line. Chickpea pancakes were delicious and our mains were very good. The banana split was an excellent finish. Will definitely go back when I’m in the city
Get the cecina! Such yummy food, fun environment. Love it here
Everything was incredibly fresh and presented with a smile! We enjoyed the bright sunny atmosphere and personality of our waitress very much for our brunch.
From beginning to end excellent service, wait, can this really be the Meatpacking district? Warm welcome from the hostess, friendly and attentive service from our waiter, Fortune. Food was awesome, from the crudo to the fried artichokes, spicy lobster pasta, through to the iced grapefruit dessert. Almost didn’t make the reservation due to the heavy handed credit card reservation requirement, but happy we went ahead with it anyway.
Very cozy space but noisy when full. Dishes are beautifully prepared, cocktails and wine list outstanding. Designed for sharing but tough to fit a big table of people. Go with a loved one for a great dining experience.
Santina is a unique restaurant with scrumptious food and solid service. My one complaint is how loud the music is. Just turn it down a tad.
So much more friendly than many meatpacking outposts. Delicious strange inventive food. Incredibly nice service from hostess to bartended to waiter to manager
I really like Santina. Our waitress this Saturday went over and beyond to recover from a series of small but pilling issues.
The very disapointing the lack of choice for non alcoholic bevarage at dinner time
Great food, but they had run out of about 1/2 of the items on their menu which was annoying. Waiter was fine but kept interrupting us when we tried to order and then would walk away mid sentence. Ambiance otherwise was great and food and drinks were delicious.
The food was fine — nothing exceptional and everything was a little too salty. The chickpea pancake is great and so are the arrancini balls.
The chicken was moist and delicious but the eggplant parmesan was dry and blah — the pieces were very thick and chewy.
We were seated at the exact moment of our reservation.
Such amazing food and cool atmosphere. Everything can be made gluten free which was a huge plus for our group because we had two people with celiac. The server was so nice and explained the menu and gave us great recommendations. Will definitely go back! It was fun and delicious.
This was my second time at Santina. Both times I had delicious meals and enjoyed the atmosphere. However after my second visit I don’t plan on going again for a long time. The waiter, his name was John was extremely rude, abrupt, and unhelpful. My friends felt insulted and would never go back after being treated so rudely. When we said we’d like to order a bottle of wine, John walked away from us and just came back out the wine menu on the table and walked away- not even explaining any of the wines. After bringing our food he never came over to check on us. When we said we didn’t want dessert he made a face a grabbed the menus off the table. I don’t expect to be treated like that.
Great spot for excellent lunch in Meatpacking District
Great service and wonderful food
This is the best spot for a European who lives in the city!
Too noisy; too chaotic. Very limited menu choices for lunch/brunch. The menu says they are gluten free but the entrees aren't healthy. Too much mayo; too much sugar in the muffins. It's near the Whitney but there must be better options. Would not recommend.
Lovely brunch.... great food, wonderful service and ambiance.
Branzino fillet over cooked. Arancini excellent. Solid cocktails. Becoming very B & T now. Eggplant recipe changed (no more burrata) without informing customers and at $27 it’s a rip off now. Waiter dissuaded is from ordering certain dishes because “portion size is small” and directed us to most expensive options. Laughable and annoying.
Delicious lunch after a visit to the Whitney! The chickpea pancakes are fabulous (and unique) as are all the other items on the menu.
