We love Sante and have enjoyed their pre-fix menu especially. Offerings are seasonal and tonight's 4 courses was amazing. Amazing meal topped of by a petite Watmaugh (local strawberry grower) baked Alaska. Filled with strawberry sorbet and surrounded by chilled strawberry "gazpacho" !!
Incredible wine selections which you would expect in Sonoma Valley. Diverse menu, small bites, appetizers, healthy salads and entrees that are refreshing. The duck specifically is the best we have ever had.
Celebrating our wedding anniversary with a long weekend in Sonoma. Sante' looked like a great place for our special occasion meal. Overall, it was a nice dinner. We had the tasting menu with wine pairing. The wines were great. The food was excellent. They also acknowledged our anniversary during dessert. Overall, not a horrible visit by any means. They just need to up their service game a notch at this pricepoint. There was an aura of stinginess. I'm fairly certain a Michelin reviewer would not look fondly on the very light pairing pours. You should have enough wine to get through the full course which was not the case with the duck entree. We finished our pinot pour with 1/2 of the entree remaining. We asked the sommelier for another splash and he readily obliged, but would not have expected the need to do so. Every other restaurant of this caliber has always ensured our wine pours were topped off if needed.
the food was not that good, we order steaks and all 3 of us got very salty steaks.
Amazing food and service. I highly recommend the tasting menu :-)
Certainly nothing special. Had been looking forward to eating here, overall was pretentious with no reason to be. Food and kitchen try too hard with a lack of compatible ingredients and tiny portions. Way more expensive than it should have been, shrimp appetizer at $24 contains 2, yes two, shrimp. With wine over $350 for two. Don't expect anything from management. Ate at Girl & fig the next night, 10x the meal at less than 1/3 the cost.
One of the best! My wife and I have had the pleasure to eat at Santé recently. Food, wine, and service were all exceptional. The highlight was the food. Fresh ingredients, perfect sizes and presentation, and the flavor was so good the right word hasn’t been invented yet. If you’re in the area please do your taste buds a favor and stop in.
The tasting menu and wine pairing was spectacular.
It was our first night stay at the Fairmont and this test was recommended. Honestly it wasn’t the best compared to other local restaurants.
The service at Sante was and is always wonderful, however our salad was just not something to write home about and it’s summer with so many options with melon and citrus, yet it was just blah.
Our waitress and servers and buskers were always accommodating and pleasant.
Wonderful experience. Delicious food.
Ordered th pre-fixe menu. Beginning courses and bread were good. Our entrees missed the mark that night. That being said, do go for breakfast. All three days we ate breakfast there were outstanding!
Great food, wonderful wine selections, service was superb.
Great place for a night out with my main man!
We showed up and hostess did not appear to know of our reservation and told us they were closed. The manager came with an iPad and confirmed we had a reservation. They seated us outside, brought water and then we sat for about 10 mins without any service. Then a sweet gal came and asked if we had been helped and took great care of us after that. The outdoor seating was nice but we were right by the pool and it was a bit noisy. But, lemon pancakes were off the hook awesome!
Excellent food that’s locally grown and well prepared. Portions are decent sized and service is excellent. Great by the glass list, too.
We had two and they were good enough but nothing outstanding as I have already forgotten.
I had pasta with clams. The clams were overcooked so they were quite chewy; the pasta itself was not overdone but the sauce was lackluster. The presentation was also very flat.
One of the bread options had the texture of a par-baked but never made it to the oven to be finished off.
I can almost overlook all of the food shortcomings as I did not leave hungry but the service left the worst taste of all. The final straw was the waiter presenting the dessert menu and walk away without uttering a word. He was barely seen throughout the meal but his lack of service was highlighted during this final gesture.
On a positive note, the server who did the cheese course (before the dinner) was pleasant and cheerful.
Overall, I have always enjoyed our dining experiences here, but this time I felt that the food was not as good as previous times. Not taste or presentation wise, but more from the standpoint of quantity. Another incident that somewhat annoyed me was I had brought in a bottle of my own wine as we entered the restaurant. A member of the staff greeted me and asked if I would like my bottle prepared for serving at my table or should it be brought out later. I said yes, please prepare for immediate service at the table and gave him my bottle. As expected, the bottle arrived at my table and was poured. When it came time for the check I discovered that I was being charged their price for my wine. Apparently the person who took my bottle initially did not inform anyone that it was my bottle. The bill was corrected eventually to remove the charge and the expected corkage fee was added in ($35 is a little stiff for a corkage fee, don't you think?). Again, I enjoyed my evening here, but not as much as previous visits.
Everything about this meal was spectacular.
This was the worse meal I have ever had. The asparagus was the only decent thing they had. We didn’t even eat the appetizer or entrees and the manager Brian even came out to apologize as he stated “you’re probably use to the previous chief whose French and this chief is trying to go in a new direction .” He offered to comp our entrees but because we had a travelzoo he couldn’t do any partial credits. I have eaten here several times in the past and was truly one of the best experiences but this was horrible and not up to par. This was so bad we had to stop somewhere else after we left to eat.
We did the tasting menu with wine pairing for our anniversary. Although this experience is on the higher price point per person, it was so wonderful.. The food, the pairings, and the service were all excellent. We would absolutely go back.
Sante at the Fairmont is truly an experience. The food, service and wine are all exceptional. We were celebrating a birthday and so we chose the four course June "special" with the wine pairings. It was over the top! While I would recommend the restaurant for any occasion, celebrating a milestone or an anniversary is very special. The decor is beautiful and the dress is casual. Well worth the money!

We had breakfast outside. I felt very hot and realized only later that they kept the heaters on while it was 90 degrees outside. When I asked to turn it off, it was not done until we left. Also, we waited for our credit card to be picked up for 20 min!!! We just sit their and watched how long it will take them. They brought me cappuccino with an ant it it... no apologies ... Food was mediocre. Service pretty bad.

We had the four course menu. Everything from the food to the service was outstanding. Would go back to Sonoma just to dine here!
Amazing food and wine pairing, every dish was thoughtfully prepared with the utmost care, beautiful presentation!

Not up to Fairmont expectations. Been to other Fairmont's in Maui and New York and this one did not even come close.
Very limited menu. Good quality food, good presentation, just didn't warrant the prices for the locale.
Top notch service.
Not for everyday dining. Food is fussy and non-traditional -- not for some one looking for a steakhouse dinner. However, the food was very good even if part of our order came from the bar restaurant adjacent. Sante is a great value for breakfast -- plenty of food at reasonable prices. Chicken and waffles covers both breakfast and lunch!
What a wonderful evening. From the cheese board with Elaine to the wine pairings with Mark, it was a truly memorable dinner. Every course of the prix fixed menu was delicious, except the wagyu beef. It was grisly and a bit tough, and not appetizing looking on the plate. But the exceptional flavors of everything else more than made up for it!
Highly recommend this restaurant!
Good food with a beautiful ambience. Very romantic location.
There was a lot of food but it just wasn't good. We were seated in a DARK back room even though most of the restaurant was empty when we arrived. No ambience at all at an otherwise gorgeous hotel. Service was SLOOOWWW.
Signed up for the fixed menu with wine pairing. Third course arrived nearly two hours after arrival -wagyu ribeye - completely undercooked despite the initial request.
Overpriced, even worse overrated for the quality of the food, service and ambiance.
As for the price, it is not match for the real level of quality as I mentioned - you feel like you just have been robbed because of the experience and heat you had pay for it as you leave.
Loved it! Excellent four-course dinner. We will come back again.
Our wait staff were completely fantastic, extremely knowledgeable about every ingredient on the menu. It was a very relaxing and comfortable dining area. The wine list was so extensive it had been put into a iPad, it housed tons of local wines, but was diverse in other regions/ countries. The food completely stood out, it was delicious something you find in a world class restaurant. Thank you for a fantastic experience.
Celebrating completing of advanced degree
We have had wonderful dinners at Santé. The menu has changed quite a bit since our last visit. We feel there are not enough choices. The prix fix menu is almost the same as the regular menu. We do like the addition of the cheese cart. The server did a wonderful job of explaining all the cheeses. Please consider adding a few more main courses to the menu
Awesome experiences. We did the prefix menu with wine pairing. Food and wine was amazing. The only negative is it took a little long between each of the dishes were served and the wine was already poured and getting warm. Otherwise, perfect night out.
