I came for dinner here with my daughter and her boyfriend on a recent visit to NYC. Santa Fe was a favorite of my husband and mine years ago when we lived on the UWS. The move to a slightly larger place a while back has not take away from the atmosphere (still cozy but not as quiet) and the food is as delicious as ever. Our daughter has come to love it also, worth the trip from the Village where she lives. Service is friendly and competent.
A great neighborhood restaurant- a true find
always a pleasure for the tortilla soup, fish tacos, and the churros and oh, the house margarita-so potent and good!
This is my new favorite restaurant on the Upper West Side. The staff is amazing, the food is great, and the cocktails are the best.
Great Tex-Mex food, in a nice quiet environment. Close to Lincoln Ctr, so nice pre-concert/theater option.
Food was excellent, we all enjoyed. Service was a bit slow (ordered guac but didn't come out before we finished chips) and took 20m to get the bill. that said, we would definitely go back. we enjoyed the food. menu had enough choices for everyone.
The hostess, waitress and kitchen were very responsive to my special dietary needs. Much appreciated
One of the best Mexican restaurants on the upper west side. My go to since I moved to Hong Kong then London in 1992. Neither HK or London has good Mexican so every time I'm home I go. Last weekend the place was hoping! Pretty impressive after all these years!!
As always, I’m never disappointed at Santa Fe. The food is good and the margaritas sublime.
Best margaritas ever! And the best chipolte chicken, too!
Excellent flavors mixed with warm ambiance will bring us and our guests back again. Server was also excellent and attentive.
Great neighborhood spot. Their fish tacos are to die for. All around comfortable, friendly and a feel good restaurant with great food.
Always a good choice. Never disappoints drinks are delicious. Guacamole superb
I love Santa Fe. Reliable, consistent, delicious and friendly
It was a busy scene despite our early reservation (5:30). Never-the-less we had a cozy, quiet table.
The service was prompt & courteous and the food was very good. I loved my duck confit chimichanga. We'll definitely be back!
My wife and I dine here, on average, several times a year as it is very near where we live with generally good food, service and value. This time we had our son's family with 5 y.o. old children and my other son. The place was busier than usual because a nearby upscale SW/Mexican facility had a kitchen fire and closed - diners shifted here. Was handled well. Only one minor issue that should be corrected. Two of my guests ordered fajitas and each came with only two moderate sized tortillas despite generous portions of meat and vegetables; I suggested the diners ask for more, but they did not so I'm not sure what would have happened. Should probably provide at least 4, maybe 5 tortillas for these meals.
Santa Fe is one of my favorites in the neighborhood.
Alex the Mgr was terrific. Miguel the waiter was excellent. Margaritas are solidly good. :-)
Great food and great service, we will be back!!
This place is fine for an everyday night out on the uws. Ambience is actually quite pleasant and the food was pretty decent as well.
Great neighborhood restaurant. A regular for us. Great margaritas and good food.
The most consistent purse restaurant on upper West side. The service is awesome and friendly. They greet you with a smile. The fajitas are the best in the city is always a nice lively buzz in the restaurant.
First time that we were there. Food was very good service was fine. Enjoyable experience.
We had not been here for many years but friends of ours said they were there recently and it was quite good. We went to Santa Fe for dinner and it was a lovely meal. It was pretty standard Tex Mex food, more Mex than Tex, but everyone was pleased with their choices. The margaritas were outstanding and my glass of wine was a generous pour. We were happy with the service and the specials included incredible prices (less than the menu, not more). We are upper west siders and will certainly be back.
always enjoy our meals here and especially like the house margarita because it is not only tasty but it also provides "a kick" to it. pleasant atmosphere and friendly welcome.
I forgot how good this place is. Nothing fancy, but terrific ingredients and wonderful neighborhood restaurant!
Lovely and knowledgeable servers who can accommodate food allergies and diabetic preferences!
The best of everything. Consistently great food and service. The best margarita in nyc!
A wonderful neighborhood gem with great food and fantastic service!
Food was fabulous, specially the wild mushroom quesadillas!
Brought my girlfriend who’s from New Mexico. Had a blast - frozen margs. Waiter was great too
Great! Everything was delicious
Food was very good but the noise level interfered with enjoyment of the meal.
Perfectly reasonable food and service. Nothing special but I'd come again for convenience.
OK ambience and service but the food is very ordinary. Too much oil and not enough spice. There are a number of better choices in the area.
Good comfort food! Yummy sweet potato burrito, nice marguerita, good service, nice neighborhood restaurant.
We hadn't been to Santa Fe in quite a while, and were delighted by the ambience, delicious food, and the relative quiet. The grapefruit margarita was excellent, by the way. The three of us had quite different things, ranging from fish to enchiladas, and we really enjoyed them.
Food and drinks always delicious. It's the only restaurant where the noise level is so low you can actually hear your friends conversation!
Ok but not great. Guacamole (my test for excellence) was not bad, but needed more lime juice and Tabasco. Fish tacos were ok - a bit too fried. Satisfactory in general.
