Santa Fe Ratings and Reviews
We had not been here for many years but friends of ours said they were there recently and it was quite good. We went to Santa Fe for dinner and it was a lovely meal. It was pretty standard Tex Mex food, more Mex than Tex, but everyone was pleased with their choices. The margaritas were outstanding and my glass of wine was a generous pour. We were happy with the service and the specials included incredible prices (less than the menu, not more). We are upper west siders and will certainly be back.
We hadn't been to Santa Fe in quite a while, and were delighted by the ambience, delicious food, and the relative quiet. The grapefruit margarita was excellent, by the way. The three of us had quite different things, ranging from fish to enchiladas, and we really enjoyed them.
This is one of the few remaining UWS neighborhood restaurants. You see regulars eating or having a drink on any night of the week. The staff is very welcoming and the atmosphere is relaxed. No pushing you to finish up and leave. Recommend to anyone for a pleasant SW meal.
This is one of my favorite restaurants because the food is usually quite good and the ambiance is above average, in that it's not too loud. That's why I chose it for a dinner with our-of-town family. But it was a big disappointment. The service was poor--way too slow and inattentive. And the salmon was overly salty, as a result of a marinade that made the top part almost inedible. But the guacamole couldn't have been better! And thumbs up to the margarita.
