5 year Anniversary...great experience. Food was amazing, service on point.
Overall Santa Fe is a nice restaurant, with good food and service. However, for the price, you can receive better food and service (very good to excellent) in other restaurants in the McAllen/Pharr/Edinburg area. I had the Oscar Filet, cooked properly to the temperature I ordered, I asked to split and they did so without hesitation. the lump crab on the oscar was good. The best thing was the lady that made sure I NEVER ran out of water, she was also extremely courteous. All of the desserts looked tasty, the bread pudding was delish! Overall good with a lovely atmosphere. PS> Go early, parking is difficult!
Great meal as usual. I go with some girlfriends so we like to share. Not into big portions. The waitress knew what to do with looking confused. We spilt a steak three way. It was delicious! Sides of potato and asparagus were very good. Had a coffee drink the waitress recommended. It was wonderful. Thanks for a great night.
Love to go to this restaurant, when we’re in McAllen!
Exceptional food, drinks, service and ambiance as always. Santa Fe does not disappoint.
The food was great, BUT...
The most impressive factors were the atmosphere; I love the respectful & hospitable staff (Orlando, Kyle, thank you!), the architecture and interior design, the lighting, & above all else, the live pianist. It’s not often you get to be enchanted by a live artist.
11 out of 10.
Our food took an hour to arrive and it was cold & dry. Our waiter never attended us. We had to ask other waiters for our drinks.
Great food. Great time. Great waiter Eddie. Definitely go back.
Michelle made it a great evening! Wonderful recommendations as it was my first time dining.
Celebrating my wifes Birthday and it was great.
Service was exceptionally slow. We waited for half an hour for our drink. And the taking of order took another half an hour.
Food is always great! I chose seafood this time around and was very happy with my choice. Tuna tartar as our appetizer and King Salmon for main entree. Not only a great choice but a great amount/portion size as well.
Service was excellent, but I did notice the young lady sitting across us received a complimentary soup and wondered why we were not offered. Makes me wonder.
We could hear the great music coming from the cantina but did not enter. Towards the end of meal, we began to notice many customers coming in to the cantina. We sat in the outside patio area with enough distance between tables. However I wonder if it was the same inside the cantina area. Overall I highly recommend the restaurant. Oh yes, parking is a challenge.
We were greeted promptly by a very courteous gentleman and shown to a booth where our server appeared promptly. Our food was excellent with the meat in both entrees cooked perfectly. my only complaint is it was a little dark in there which made it hard for me to read the menu. Overall a very satisfactory meal, would recommend them to anyone!
Food & service were great!
Amazing and amazing piano player
Enjoyed a birthday dinner and Santa Fe Steakhouse!
It was average taste... nice presentation but not very tasty. Considering the quality, in my opinion it was overpriced... a 9 oz steak with fried string potatoes, 3 pieces of asparagus and 1 oz of crab was $48, The a tuna/grapefruit appetizer was $18 and the lava cake (which had an unusual flavor I did not care for, thus did not eat) was $10.00. I am not a real foodie but do like an occasional nice meal when I am traveling. I chose this because it seemed to be the “nicest” place in McAllen to get a steak but I would not recommend it.
One of the few places in our area that offers outdoor dining and they do it very well.
Our waiter was knowledgeable and friendly. Ambiance and food was amazing!
Great dinner with my wife!
Service was excellent. Our waiter was great, served us promptly and with an excellent attitude. Loved that. He kept us so entertained and happy. Food was delish. We started out with mini beef Wellington which was very good. Cesar salad was great. Then we had a prickly pear margarita and cucumber martini which both were delicious. Our dinner was excellent. Steaks were cooked just as we asked for. Overall our dining experience was excellent!!!
Everything was very good. Food was delicious. Drink was a bit pricey....the cost of a margarita was double what it costs at most other places....the drink was delicious, but over-priced.
Excelente ambiente, música de fondo muy agradable y el servicio muy bueno.
The outdoor patio where we ate is beautiful and in these COVID days a much safer alternative to eating inside
The amount of money I spent, the experience was not favorable. Mashed potato wrapped in puff pastry, was a disappointment. I been sober for 33 years and my Virgin Bloody Mary was not garnished with the signature celery stick. Mini Beef Wellington resting on a demi glaze makes the pastry "soggy" and the corn meal batter shrimp removed the moisture from the shrimp. I have dine in French style and paid less and had a favorable experience. The Manager passed by the table and "ask the question" and we responded, He did not hear the respond, because he moved right along, no interaction. I did not see the chef or the sous. We were celebrating my daughter birthday.
As always, everything was fantastic.
Julio great waiter.
Outstanding service and food. Excellent environment.
Our server Sam was on point! From drinks to food suggestions-
James (manager) was on top of everything- we saw him talking to each table interacting with guests
All CDC guidelines were being followed
Great job Santa Fe’
Need to work on their customer service and my steak was overcooked.
The service was extremely nice. We enjoyed eating indoors and particularly enjoyed the very tasteful piano music. All in all a delightful experience.
We felt uncomfortable that social distancing was not observed when the county lockdown was still
Service is really good
Thank you, Eduardo for a wonderful evening.
Food was great quality . Great service and environment was wonderful
Went to celebrate my friends birthdays. We sat outside which was very nice. There was a breeze and an air conditioning machine to keep it cool. The service was right on point. The steaks were cooked perfectly and so good! We made some special orders which we done. I will return.
It was a great experience. I was visiting McAllen for the first time. I took my girlfriend on a random date. Made reservations and has specific notes on my reservations. They were acknowledged. Food and ambience was amazing. David great service and thank you again.
