Fabulous grouper entree’. Highly recommended !
Went with friends and had a great evening. Great food and reasonable wine prices
This is the best food on the Island (we are residents and my husband is a Culinary Institute of America grad) and in spite of the annoying ambiance we seem to always encounter, we will always return and recommend the food as being best on the Island but......we have encountered this annoying situation for the 3rd time on Sunday night! I deligently make reservations and on arrival we are told that “your table isn’t available but we have.....upstairs”! We were entertaining out of state guests and I raved for days about this place only to be 1). seated in the first table to the right on top of the steps and not only had to contend all night with people (other guests and wait staff) coming and going and had to move or get up to supply ample room for passing and 2). seated adjacent to a rather large family group with children who were being children loud and distractive!
I feel like our faces are on a plaque as we arrive and it says...these suckers will sit anywhere!
We spend many dollars here and don’t hesitate to order drinks galore and I’m beginning to wonder why!
The wait staff are always amazing but the host stand always greets us in an unusual negative, unfriendly manner as though we are a nuisance to them.
In reference to Sunday night we were not given any other options than the table we were seated at....it completely ruined my evening
awesome place i love santa fe... cowboy steak is the best
Food was nothing special and staff seemed stressed and disinterested
I am a local and enjoyed our dinner with family from New York city...great service, exceptional food..!!!
Four of us all enjoyed our dinner choices. Great atmosphere and sound level permitted a good conversation.
Always a favorite! Great food, great margaritas, great music, great atmosphere on outside deck! Don’t miss it!
Food was decent, ambiance is nice, especially outdoors on the deck; but beware that this establishment is not baby friendly! Took our 1 year old for an early dinner at 5pm, and they were very obviously annoyed that we brought a baby (attitude about having a stroller, getting a high chair, etc...) even though I did mention it in my reservation that we would have a baby. They made us feel extremely uncomfortable and were unbelievably rude (host, waitress, buster, literally all workers). My advice is to not go here with children! Every single other place on the island was AMAZING towards children except Santa Fe.
Great as always. Every year we have to make at least one visit and it does not disappoint
Use to visit this establishment over a decade ago and finally returned to the island recently. Great memories which were substantiated with excellent food, superb service and a splendid atmosphere. Would recommend for any occasion. Bon Appetit !
We loved our dinner and had fantastic service. Highly recommend.
A welcome change from the mostly-mediocre food on HHI. Great menu - everything looked awesome. We followed the advice of other reviewers and I started with the Painted Desert soup - really creative and tasty. Then my husband had the pork chops verde and I had the ribeye burrito. WOW - both were absolute winners. And a nice wine list. Highly recommend!
Santa Fe Cafe is on our "must visit" list every time we are in Hilton Head. We enjoy everything.
Spring Break dinner with family.
Food is pricey and ordinary. I ordered a Grouper for $30.00 because it was recommended by my friend. It was good but not worth $30.00.
Enjoyed dining on the rooftop patio. Was early in the evening (6pm) so not sure how crowded/loud it may get later, but was nice and quiet while we were there. Had shrimp tacos and they were good.
I have been coming to Santa Fe Cafe since they opened many years ago. It is a "can't miss" stop on any trip to Hilton Head. The southwestern offerings are always top notch, but the menu is much broader than just southwest. This is a super solid choice for everything on the menu.
Sat outside... nice rooftop terrace with great mariache singer who played the whole time.
Nice take on southwestern cuisine. Good service. Always busy- Reservations recommended. Menu items a little pricey but no other food similar to this anywhere around so definitely a unique dining experience.
Food and adult beverages are amazing. Service is great.
Enjoyed the upstairs patio. Food and service was fantastic. We travel to HHI for spring break every year. This is now a must go restaurant for the future. Thank you!
We came for the early bird with a large group (kids included). Our waiter was awesome—even had the chef special make “crispy” tacos for my whiny son. The food was outstanding from the salads and soups to the entrees and churros. Love the red sangria and the margaritas as well. We will definitely be back. 😊
Awesome food. Awesome Service. Dinner special was great. Great presentation of entrees.
My experience was AWESOME! Best food in HHI. I look forward to eating here almost as much as coming to Hilton Head. Black bean soup, Guacamole and Ribeye burrito are my favs. Service is always top notch.
Great experience for my husband and I and four teenagers.
As usual, Santa Fe Restaurant Provided excellent menu choices in a friendly environment. It has been the go to choice for foodies with a taste for Southwestern cuisine on Hilton Head for over fifteen years. It is my wife's favorite restaurant, so we have gone there many times over the years; we have never been disappointed.
We loved dining on the rooftop! Great food and ambiance on a chilly night! Highly recommend!
Live music is amazing. Food is top notch . Rib eye burrito!
Excellent service, ambiance and food! Great for lunch and dinner. Adorable rooftop patio!
Have loved the Santa Fe Cafe for years. We always make sure we have a dinner there every time we’re in Hilton Head
A new favorite when we visit Hilton Head!
One of Hilton Head’s best! The guacamole was delicious !! Fresh food. Excellent service. Casual atmosphere. Always!! We love Santa Fe Cafe!! Try the black bean or painted desert soup. YUM!
Santa Fe has long been a favorite. We especially enjoy the outdoor patio for the ambiance and the live music. Friends were visiting this weekend and loved the experience and of course, the food. Always outstanding!
Inside noise level made talking and listening difficult for two of us with some hearing deficiency. Rooftop bar and dining looked quite nice but too chilly for us to use it. They did have propane heaters through out the seating area.
Our first time there. Food was very good. Server was very friendly and provided very good service.
Fantastic. We will be back next year!
A friend recommended this restaurant and we weren’t disappointed!! It was so good that we booked another reservation for three nights later. One dining experience there simply wasn’t enough! Our server was so attentive and friendly, and not a single detail was overlooked. The food was outstanding - the painted desert soup was the best soup I’ve ever tasted!!
Every time we are there we are seated in the kitchen area. It is loud and when we leave our clothes stink and must be cleaned. The food is very good, I love the Painted Dessert soup. The burrito is one of my favorites. The margaritas need more tequila. I gave the ambiance a low rating because it is so loud.
