Yoenn and Benny were incredible, as always!! Always a neighborhood favorite.
We had a reservation for 10 am and it opens at 12
We went on the last night before restaurants were closed for coronavirus. Sant Ambroeus somehow struck a balance between a sterile/sanitary environment and a festive one. They were adhering to social distancing protocols and wearing gloves. But it was still such a warm environment. Again, somehow. Thank you and hope to see you in person again soon.
Strange night. Strange staff, loads of them but service lacked. Appetizers were great, entrees were average. Too many good places in this city to return to this one.
The service was terrible. I had to speak to a manager at least twice and the service never got better. The food was just okay with what too much salt in the entrees. The appetizers were very good.
Sant Ambroeus Soho is a gem. The food and the service are both top shelf. We love this place. It was very busy on an early Saturday afternoon, so we made reservations for a Sunday brunch. Their eggs benedict is cooked to perfection, and believe it or not, light! The avocado toast with poached eggs also received rave reviews from my husband. Eating here is really an elevated dining experience. Go!
Usually go to the West Village location, but since there was no availability there, we decided to go to the Soho location for our Valentine dinner. We felt very rushed through the meal. We weren’t the only ones who felt that. On a Friday night, I understand that it’s important to turn tables quickly, but you can’t do that to your patrons on a big dining night like Valentine’s Day. It honestly put a damper on our night out. The food was good, but to be approached a number of times through the meal asking if we were ready for the next course, was a bit excessive. It’s unfortunate.
Excellent food and service
Dined at Sant Ambroeus to celebrate my mom and my birthdays. The food and service were both incredible; coupled with a fun ambiance that was still quiet enough to have good conversation makes it a must try. Sant Ambroeus had been on my list of restaurants to try and I will definitely be a repeat customer.
Beautiful ambiance and great service. The food was good, but just ‘ok’ for me in comparison to NYC Italian cuisine. It’s more about the vibe and scene here. Had a great catch up with a friend and would go back again.
Amazing service + food. Perfect setting for my work meetings. Will definitely return.
Terrible service. Had to ask for coffee twice before it arrived. Then brought to the table cold. Had to repeatedly ask for water to be refilled. Asked repeatedly for the check.
As always was lovely
Tasty bites, wonderful ambiance. The place to go if you want a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. A necessary spot to have a nice early morning breakfast to zen into your day.
Amazing service, beautiful restaurant, great food. The perfect brunch spot!
Upper East Side location is a much better experience.
Overrated place. The veal Milanese tasted like old cooking oil and the bolognese was over salted. Food came out within 5-10 minutes, clearly not made to order or fresh.
We reserve the table without any expectation and it was a very good surprise. I had a perfect balanced Eggs Benedict (not to much sauce) and a mini panettone that was very soft and tasteful.
French toast was the best! Would definitely recommend.
Amazing food, great ambience, good crowd, friendly service
The ambiance of this location is perfect and wonderful Soho location. Food and service were good. I only tried brunch but this place feels more like a dinner spot.
Best time! As always!!
Brussels sprouts salad was lovely, server was rude, which was a first here.
Always a great choice!
Too hyped up for what it is. Also, one of the waiters was rude.
Fantastica esperienza. Personale davvero gentile e cibo eccellente. Il manager mi ha offerto a sorpresa una torta con candelina per il mio compleanno. Totalmente inaspettato mi ha cambiato la giornata. Grazie mille . Ottimo
Such a cute place- I brought my mom at an off beat time when it wasn't super busy and the food and staff were both amazing. Very attentive and welcoming atmosphere with great food to back it up.
amazing food but the restaurant was a little crammed.
The food was amazing and the service was spectacular. We got an amazing free desert due to the special occasion. Love it :)
Experienced the brand in Palm Beach and were thrilled to experience it again in NYC. Fantastic brunch and the French toast was amazing.
While the manager made things right at the end. My first time visit was a disaster...starting with my reservation on Opentable, upon coming in in time, host was nowhere to be found. A waiter had no idea of reservations and had me wait until that manager/host got back. 5 minutes later I explained I had a reservation and went to the back to check. I asked to sit outside where 2 tables were fully open and to my surprise, they were sitting someone down who had just walked in with no reservation. The manager wanted me to sit inside but was annoyed and asked one last time to sit outside. NOW here comes the real fun..my daughter ordered linguine with clams and I ordered the branzino..at the same time lady who sat before had bread and oil and drink in table. We were only a minute apart in seating.. 10 min later she was eating her pasta. My reservation was 2:30 and foo came out approximately 3:40!!!!! Waiter not manager ever came to say anything about any problem and for that reason, even though they sent a dessert to the table, they lacked attentiveness to us. It was a Tuesday afternoon 2:30pm not busy at all. Almost all inside was empty..when I complained about the delay when food was brought out, the waiter said something to do with a fire? Yet again, no one came to the table to mention any issues with me. Nonetheless, I won’t return. BLOGGERS AND INFLUENCERS don’t get sucked into going here because you see everyone on IG posting pics there..it’s not all that. PLENTY of well respected, good service restaurants in the area, just read reviews and do your research..stay away from saving places on IG!
Sad, I would have left a better review if communication and treatment was better but this is my experience. Food was good.. 7 out of 10. Don’t expect friendliness or attentiveness to your table that’s all..
Our server brought us a complimentary chocolate tart for our anniversary. Great service.
Everything delicious. Service attentive but not pushy
The Vaporata di Mare had a very unpleasant smell and felt as if the fish was long gone... The vongole pasta was so full of garlic it was impossible to eat. The butter to go with anchovies had a taste similar to when butter stays open for too long in the fridge. Overall the food was quite bad.
